23 Chapter 023 - Unforgettable Wedding

Father Ming walks Emma out the door to the backyard. The backyard is decorated very beautifully with lots of fresh lily flowers, Emma's favorite flower. There's a huge canopy with three meters high draped floral arch and crystal chandelier combo dominating the ceremony decor, through to the opulent reception overflowing with pink and lilac blooms.

Emma's eyes opened wide with a big smile on her face. This is way better than she had imagined it to be! Suddenly, the music starts playing and Father Ming walks down the aisle with Emma.

As Emma walks down the aisle, she sees lots of people that she knows. But there is an old couple there that she doesn't recognize. They look like foreigners but also very similar to someone. Before she can think of who, Father Ming switched with Father Jing to continue to walk Emma down.

Father Jing padded on Emma's hand that is on his arm as he continues the walk down. He then whispers lowly to Emma some congratulation words and then hands her to Father Sing for the remaining of the way to the groom.

Father Sing smiled warmly at his daughter as he walks down the aisle with Emma. They reached the altar and Yi-Hou are already waiting there for her. His eyes shine brightly seeing Emma in that wedding dressing. She's just as beautiful and elegant as he had imagined it to be on his mind.

Emma is also surprised to see the current Yi-Hou that she didn't even notice her father has already handed her hand to Yi-Hou.

"Emma, hey Emma. Is everything okay?" Yi-Hou asked in a low voice, seeing that she is not responding.

Emma froze for a little bit when her father handed her to Yi-Hou, she couldn't believe that the handsome man in front of her is Yi-Hou. He looks completely different! So different that she almost couldn't recognize him! She was so busy looking at the decorations and the guests that she didn't even notice that her groom looks so different until seeing him close up.

Yi-Hou's facial hair has been shaved cleanly and he even had a haircut. He has on a white suit with a black bow tie which makes him look so cute! Emma can clearly see how Yi-Hou really looks like now. After seeing him like this today, she won't let him off not shaving or taking care of himself anymore. He looks so damn good! Before Yi-Hou can reply, they hear someone spoke in front of them.

Emma and Yi-Hou became quiet and nodded their head to show that he can start.

Unlike the other world where Emma is from, the western style of marriage here is very simple. All they need is to vow to marry each other in front of a witness. The couple doesn't have to bow to anyone like the Chinese style wedding. The person that performs the marriage is usually a relative of the couple. He only has to ask a simple question and the couple only have to answer it.

"Ladies and gentleman, we are gathered here today to witness the wedding of Emma Loki and Ding Yi-Hou." After saying that he turns to Yi-Hou and ask, "Do you, Ding Yi-Hou vows to take Emma Logi as your wife? Will you cherish and love her for as long as you live?"

"I, Ding Yi-Hou vows to marry Emma Logi. I will love her and cherish her until the end of my time." Yi-Hou answered simply, but also very seriously as he looks at Emma.

Marco then turns to Emma and ask, "do you Emma Logi vows to take this man, Ding Yi-Hou as your husband? Will you cherish and love him for as long as you live?"

" I, Emma Logi vows to take Ding Yi-Hou as my husband and will forever love and cherish him.

"Alright, the marriage is now completed. You two are now husband and wife!" Marco said.

Unlike the other world, there's no need for wedding rings here. But Emma wanted to have a ring for herself and all her husbands. She has secretly ordered gold rings for them but doesn't plan to show it here at the wedding. She will give it to all her husbands when they go back home.

After the vows, the guest moves to the already prepared reception area. The servants begin serving food and there's music playing. The wedding is very quick and simple, but it's also very unforgettable for both Emma and Yi-Hou.

After the reception ends, Emma and Yi-Hou are seeing the guest off. When a foreign old couple that she has not met before walks toward her with Sofia. She suddenly thought of who they look similar to, it's her mother! Especially the older woman who is holding her mother's hand as they walk toward her.

"Emma, this is your grandmother, " Sofia said. She then turns to look at the older man who is on her other side, "and he is your grandfather."

Emma is surprised to see her grandparents. She knows that her mother had cut off relationships with them when she married her fathers. But she didn't express her surprised, instead, she greeted them with a happy smile.

"Grandmother. Grandfather. It's so nice having you at my wedding. Thank you for coming!"

"Congratulation! You should come visit us sometimes. We live not too far from your second older sister, so when you go visit her in the future, come visit us too." Emma's grandmother said.

Emma nodded her head and chatted with them a little. She found out that it's her second sister's marriage oversea that causes their mother to resolve their issue with her parents from many years ago.

When Father Jing took Sofia on vacation to visit Alice back then, Sophia decided to visit her parents since they live about 3 hours away from Alice. She figures that Alice is overseas all alone, it will be good if she has some family nearby. So she went back to her parent's house to work out the difference.

At first, her parents have ignored her. But Sofia didn't give up, she even brought Alice with her to visit them a few more times.

It might be because Sofia's parents are getting older and it might also be because they really like Alice. They work out the difference and is staying in touch with each other by letters. Alice will sometimes go over to visit her grandparents too. So when Alice told them about Emma's wedding and had invited them. They wanted to come so that they can meet the rest of the grandchildren and their family.

The wedding is finally over and all the guest either left or is staying in the guest room. Emma and all three of her husbands are inside Emma's room discussing something.

"Jie-Wai and I will head back home first tomorrow morning. We left home for too long, we need to go back to work soon." Jie-Jun said.

"That's right, but you two can stay here a little bit longer. We will take care of the stuff back home." Jie-Wai also said as he looks at Emma and Yi-Hou.

Yi-Hou nodded his head to show that he understands. He actually does want to stay here longer since this is his parent's mansion and also because he wants to be with Emma alone a little longer too.

"We'll stay here for another week or two then we will come back. You two take care of yourself back home." Emma said to the Ding brothers.

They talk a little bit more about work and other stuff, then the Ding brothers left Emma's room to go back to theirs.

After the Ding brothers left, Emma and Yi-Hou just stand there looking at each other. Emma's first time for her first wedding night was initiated by her two husbands. So she is a little bit nervous with Yi-Hou since it's their first night together.
