14 Chapter 014 - Emma's Birthday Party

The next morning feels a little awkward for Emma, especially when red bean rice and herbal soup with red jujube was only served to her. Jie-Wai has asked the kitchen staff to make it for Emma early in the morning.

Emma's face is burning up and turning red as the servers, who are all men serve her the food. It is same as announcing to the world that she is having her period! Red bean rice is served when a girl gets her first period, while red jujube is good for replenishing blood loss. Emma felt like digging a hole to hide right now from everyone.

Jie-Wai didn't notice the awkward look on Emma's face and keep telling her to eat. While Jie-Jun is shaking his head helplessly looking at his younger brother. He wants to laugh, but know he couldn't since Emma is sitting right next to him.

On the other hand, Yi-Hou is also eating breakfast with them. He had no idea why Emma's breakfast is different than theirs this morning. They usually have a mix of western and Asian style breakfast since Emma likes western food. He never saw them serving herbal soup in the morning for breakfast. He didn't question about the breakfast, he just quietly eats it. But he doesn't understand why only Emma's breakfast is different.

Emma didn't touch her food, instead, she switched with her red bean rice with Jie-Jun's toasts. She then switched her herbal soup with Jie-Wai's congee. After she switched the food, she starts eating it and ignored her husband's stares.

"Wife, I didn't order to have this food make for you," Jie-Jun explains. He didn't want his wife to mistake it as he's doing and get mad at him.

"Emma, you don't like it? But it's good for you since you're losing blood." Jie-Wai has no idea why Emma doesn't like this food. She's usually not a picky eater.

Emma completely ignored Jie-Wai, but she gave a piece of toast back to share with Jie-Jun. Her action makes a Jie-Wai panic because Emma has never acted this way toward him before.

"Emma, I…." Jie-Wai was about to say something.

Yi-Hou cuts Jie-Wai off and asked Emma his question first. "You hurt? Don't come, rest." What he's trying to say is, did you get hurt? Don't come to the workshop today, rest at home.

"I'm not hurt, it's a misunderstanding! If you are finished with your food, then go to the workshop to work first. I'll stop by later to see your process." Emma is rushing Yi-Hou out, so she can talk to Jie-Wai. She's too embarrassed to bring up that topic in front of another man.

Yi-Hou doesn't know that Emma is trying to get him to leave. But he still finishes his food quickly and left to go back to the workshop to work. After he left, Emma stares straight at Jie-Wai and warns him about serving this kind of food to her.

"Jie-Wai, I know you mean well when you have the kitchen served me this kind of food. But please don't do it anymore! It's embarrassing and I don't like this kind of food." Emma said it with a little upsetting voice and a serious look on her face.

"But I just thought that…" Once again, Jie-Wai has been cut off and this time was back his older brother.

"Wife. Don't be mad at Jie-Wai, he only means well. I'll tell him not to make it so obvious next time. We will make the food ourselves and bring it to you, okay? He didn't want to say that they won't make this kind of food again because this kind of food is good for her body.

"But, I don't like this kind of food." Emma whines. She okay with red jujube, but she doesn't like herbal. Even though she's Chinese but she has never drink herbal before. The taste and smell are disgusting to her.

"We will try to make something that tastes good next time, but you have to eat a little of it since it's good for your body." Jie-Jun is almost treating Emma a like a small child right now. He's trying to get her to agree to eat something that she doesn't like.

"Um...okay," Emma answered unwillingly.

"I'm sorry, Emma. I should have asked you first because I have the kitchen made these find for you." Jie-Wai said it in a low depressing voice. He's worried that Emma will get mad at him.

Seeing him looking down and a little depressed like that, she finally let it go and talks to him normally.

"Jie-Wai, it's embarrassing when you have others make me this kind of food. It's like telling everyone that I'm having my period right now. You should know that all the people that work here are men, which made it even more embarrassing." Emma wants Jie-Wai to know that she's not really mad at him but just feels embarrassed by it.

Jie-Wai finally understands what he did wrong and why Emma is acting like this. From now on, he will make that kind of food for her with his own hands, he tells himself.

Jie-Jun finished his breakfast, less the red bean rice. While Jie-Wai didn't eat anything since he's still a little depressed. They both got on the horse carriage to go to town for work. Inside the carriage, Jie-Jun brought up the topic that it's going to be Emma's birthday.

"Emma is going to turn seventeen in 2 weeks, should we throw her a birthday party?"

Jie-Wai thinks a little and then reply, "maybe we should throw her a small surprise party. You know she doesn't like big parties or wasting money."

"You are right about that. We should just invite a few close family members and give her a surprise. I'm sure she misses her parents since she hasn't seen them after our marriage. We can invite out parents too, they will be happy to see Yi-Hou. They haven't seen him for a few years now." Jie-Jun said.

The brothers discuss their wife's birthday party for a little bit in the carriage. It has been decided who will be invited and where it will take place, etc.

Emma has no idea that brothers are planning a birthday party for her. She doesn't even know it's her own birthday that's coming up soon.

After breakfast, she stopped by Yi-Hou's workplace to see how everything is going. Things are moving along very well. She has to admit that Yi-Hou is very smart and talented. Not only can he easily understands her designs, but he can actually come up with things to make it even better.

She left Yi-Hou's workplace and went to her own little workroom. The room is small but it's enough for her to work on her our crafts. She took out the necessary ingredients to the skin care product for her husbands. She's going to make shaving soap, body soap, and shampoo. These are not hard to make and will be ready by tonight. But she wonders if it is possible to make special shaving brush to lather the shaving soap. It will be great if she can have someone make the regular razor from the other world. But she is not going to rush into that since the knife razor here is not too bad.

That night, she had both of her husbands try out the new skincare products that she made. The shaving soap is smooth and lathers more than regular soap, it has a mild flowery scent. After shaving, the Ding brothers are surprised how smooth their face is. Not only that, but Emma also made the aftershave toner and face cream for them to use. The brothers also try out the body soap and shampoo. After using all that, they felt so clean and their body smells so good. Who said only women use skincare products?

The new skincare products was a big success with her husbands, and they also agree that it might not a bad idea to have a line open for men skincare products. And more importantly, they want Emma to be busy so they can plan her surprise birthday party. Just as her husbands have hoped, Emma had been very busy for the next 2 weeks.

Finally, today is Emma's birthday. And Emma has no idea it's her birthday since she has been so busy lately. Jie-Wai came home first around late afternoon to get Emma ready. He told her that they are having a business meeting at the restaurant and hope she can also attend to give some suggestion. Emma didn't doubt his word since she has attended such meeting a few times with her husbands before.

While Emma is getting ready, Jie-Wai ran to find Yi-Hou. He told him to change and go to the restaurant first. The brothers had already told his cousin about the surprise party the night before. He's going to get Yi-Hou to go to the restaurant first and let the others know they are on their way. After getting Yi-Hou to leave first, he went to look for Emma to see if she's ready.

Knock. Knock.

"Come in,'" Emma is trying to zip up her one-piece dress back zipper.

"Emma, are you ready?" Jie-Wai came into the room and sees Emma is a beautiful blue dress, but it seems like she's having trouble with the zipper. He walks over to her and wants to help her with the zipper.

As he tries to pull up the zipper for her, her hands accidentally touched her back. Her back is so white and smooth to the touch. They all have been busy lately and didn't have time to have much intimate time together lately. His fingers can't help but sliding up and down on her back to touch her smooth skin.

"Jie-Wai, stop playing around. Pull up the zipper, we got to go soon." Emma is rushing Jie-Wai because she still didn't have her makeup or hair done yet.

Suddenly, he hugs her from behind. His head is on her neck and is breathing warm air to her skin. The suddenly intimate action causes Emma's heart to start pounding fast. It's been a while for her to have such close intimate contact with her husband too, so her body is actually starting to react a little to his touch.

In a low voice with slightly heavy breathing, he said: "Emma, can I?" right next to her ear.

Emma, of course, knows what he meant. It's been a while, so she can't blame him for acting this way. Her body also starts feeling it as he touches her more. In a low voice, she replies: "Just a little bit, because we don't have much time, okay?"

Jie-Wai didn't answer her by word, instead, he answered her by his kiss. He kisses her lip lightly, trying to not overdo it. But as Emma kisses back to reply to his kisses, he can't help but to want more. His kiss became rougher and heavy, his tongue also slips into her mouth. Their tongues are intertwining together as he sucks out her sweet juice. While they are kissing, Jie-Wai had one of his hand inside her dress from the top. The dress was unzipped so it was easy to slip in his hand. He grabbed one of the softies into his hand and starts to massage it. As the kiss keep getting heavier and rougher, the strength on his hand became stronger on the softies, causing Emma to moan with pleasure.

Emma tries to stop Jie-Jun since he's getting a little too rough with her. She didn't want him to mess up her nice new dress.

"Ah...mm...please...mm….stop, you're going to mess up my new dress." Emma is trying to get him to stop but was unable to. Instead, Jie-Wai light pulled the dress down. Since the dress is unzipped, it's easily pulled down and fall onto the floor. They are standing by the full mirror on the wall and the dress is currently on the floor. He quickly unzips his pant and pulls out his big hard object that couldn't wait any longer for release. He pushes Emma against the wall standing up straight. He then picks up one of her legs and without warning enters her sweet spot with his hard object while her back is against the wall.

"Ah!...ah!....mm….." Emma was surprised by his movement and the position they are in. They have never done it standing up like this before. Her legs almost gave out on her, but it feels so good. Emma grabs onto his body tight as he is rampaging inside her sweet opening like there's no tomorrow. The more he rams inside her, the louder Emma screams in pleasure and her sweet opening tightens up on his hard object.

"Sorry, Emma. I couldn't hold back. And I…" He was stopped by Emma. She suddenly turns around to kiss lightly in the lips.

"We are husband and wife, you don't have to apologize for this kind of things. I wanted it too, that's why I let you do it."

"But, today is suppose to be…"

"It's okay, I'll keep this a secret from Jie-Jun." Today is finally Jie-Jun's turn to sleep in her room. If he knows what Jie-Wai did today on his day, he's probably going to be mad at him.

"Thanks, Emma." He gave her a hug and a kiss on her cheek and continues to help her finished getting ready.

Inside the restaurant, Jie-Jun and the others have been waiting for Emma's arrival. Yi-Hou had arrived 30 minutes ago. Even though they called it a surprise party, it's really having dinner with family members together.

"What's taking her so long? She hasn't changed her dragging behavior!" Sofia complains. She came here extra early to see her daughter, but she's late!

"Wife, it's her birthday today. It's okay for us to wait a little bit longer." Father Ming said.

"Father and mother in law, I'll go out to see if they have arrived yet," Jie-Jun said. He gets up and was about to head out to see if Emma has arrived yet.

The door suddenly opens and Emma and Jie-Wai have arrived!

"What's going on?" Said the surprised Emma. She didn't expect to see so many people in this room. Even her mother and fathers are here.

"SURPRISE! Happy birthday, Emma!" Said everyone together in the room at the same time.

Emma froze for a few seconds and just remembered that today is her birthday! Her face is full of surprise and she feels very touched. She knew it has to be Jie-Jun and Jie-Wai that prepared this to surprise her. There are tears in her eyes, she doesn't even remember when was the last time she had celebrated her birthday. Since her parents passed away in the other world, no one has celebrated her birthday with her.

A woman suddenly went over to give her a big hug. When Emma look closely at her, she realized it's her mother!

"Emm, I missed you! Do you miss your mama?" Sofia excitedly said. It's been a few months since she last saw her daughter.

"Mother, I missed you too. I also missed fathers." Emma replies as she looks over to where her fathers are at.

The birthday party or dinner went on smoothly and Emma received lots of presents. She chatted all night with her parents. The Ding's brothers' parents are also there, they were happy to see Yi-Hou again after so many years. But they are also worried about his future since he's not young anymore.

Seeing Yi-Hou here at Emma's birthday party was a big surprise for Madame Ding. This nephew of hers doesn't like to socialize with others. She has heard about him coming to stay with her sons to help out with some work. But even if he comes to help them out, he would never attend this kind of party or gathering. He must be in good terms with this daughter in law of hers and is quite fond of her.

Suddenly, Madame Ding's old thoughts came back to her! He's worried about Yi-Hou's future, but there's a good solution here. She has to talk to her in-laws later about this, and the person she's referring to is Sofia. Ever since Emma and the Ding brothers got married, these two lonely mothers have gotten together a lot. They would go shopping and drink teas together. Recently, Sofia even got Madame Ding hooked with playing mahjong and have become one of her mahjong buddies. Little did Emma knows, her birthday party has brought two women together to make some big plans.
