3 Chapter 003 - Marry One Husband, Get one Free

Inside a beautifully decorated big bedroom, Emma is sleeping on her bed looking like she's feeling uncomfortable.

"Ah….ah….mm..hmmm...no, we can't…." She's moaning and sleep talking in her dreams. Suddenly, her eyes opened! She's awake and her heart is racing very fast. She then noticed a sticky feeling down there, she sheepishly put a hand down there and uses her third and fourth digit finger to touch the inside of her panty. It's all wet and sticky!

Di...did...I really had a wet dream? She actually dreams of doing something indecent with that man from last night. How can she? It's so embarrassing! This is all his fault that she has such a dream for the first time in her life!

After Emma came back to her sense yesterday from being kissed the very first time by a man. She looks absentminded during the remainder of the party. Her mother and fathers thought she was tired so they let her go back to her room first to rest. She didn't know what had happened afterward.

BAM! The sound of the door flew opened loudly. A woman runs right into the room and goes straight to Emma.

Emma doesn't have to look to know who it is.

"Mother, can you please…."Before Emma can finish her usual sentence of asking her mother to please knock on the door, her mother stopped her by speaking first.

"Emma, sweetie! I didn't know you were so popular yesterday! We have gotten 3 marriage proposals from families that saw you last night. I thought with your shy and a 'little weird' personality, you will have a hard time finding someone to marry you. I guess I was wrong!" Sofia is so excited, she though yesterday's party was a failure since Emma didn't interact with many people. But her husbands told her this morning that 3 families have actually had their eyes on their Emma!

Emma thought to herself, are you really my mother? How can you call your daughter a 'little weird'? You the weird one, okay? But then she remembered what that man has asked of her, so one of the marriage proposals probably is from his family.

"Mother, which families are the marriage proposals from?" She knew one of them to have to be from that man, but so are the other two? She doesn't remember talking to anyone else other than that man.

"Hm…..let me think. One of them is Auntie Ng's son, remember the one that I introduced you to last night and her son was standing right next to her."

Of course, she remembered her. Auntie Ng is one of her mom's mahjong friends. That woman got her mom hooked with playing mahjong and make her wasted money on it. She didn't really like that woman and that son of hers is even worse. He was staring at her the whole time, not her face but her 'boobs'!

"Mother, I don't think he is a good choice." Emma tries to tell her mom to not pick this one. She's worried because Auntie Ng is her mahjong friend.

"Okay, not to worry. There're still two more to choose from. The next one is the Gu family, they want to match you with their second son. The Gu family is a new business partner of our family, but mama doesn't want you to marry into their family. But if you like him, then I'll support your decision."

"Why don't you want me to marry into that family?" Emma is trying to think who is the second son of the Gu family is, but she is unable to remember.

"The eldest son of the Gu family has been married already. They have three brothers it will be great if you can marry all three brothers at the same time as mama did with your fathers. That way, you don't have to marry another person from a different family. Having all your husbands as brothers can keep your family and household peaceful!"

"Mother, not everyone can be like our family."

"I know, but that's still not the main reason why I don't want you to marry into that family. I heard that the Gu family head is a woman that is hard to live with, she wants to have a tight leash on everyone. Her eldest son's wife is having trouble with her and they are always fighting about small things."

"Where did you hear this from? Don't tell me it's your mahjong friends again." Emma has a feeling she knows where her mother heard this rumors from. Ever since her mom starts playing mahjong with her mahjong buddies, she also learns to gossip with them.

"Well, yea. And also from your fathers too. The Gu family men also complaints about their women when they sit with your fathers for a drink."

"Okay, okay. Let's continue with the last one."

Suddenly, the atmosphere of the room changes. It went from a little heavy talking about the Gu family to suddenly light and bright.

"Ah….Emma, you want to know who the last one is right? RIGHT?" Sofia suddenly got so hyped up, her face has gotten very close to Emma's face when she talks.

"Mother, please don't get so close, you are spilling at my face," Emma said that while pushing her mother a little bit away from her.

"Since you want to know, then I'll tell you. It's that guy you like so much! The eldest son of the Dong family!" Emma already guessed that it would be him and she never said she wants to know!

"Emma, mama is so happy for you. The guy you like actually likes you back, I thought you will never acquire this unrequited love of yours." Sofia had tears in her eyes, she is so happy for Emma.

"Mother, am I really that bad that you need to cry just because he likes me back?" Emma rolled her eyes at her mother. She can't believe her mother thinks no wants her. She looks good and has a great body figure. Even though the previous Emma might be shy, quiet and a little weird at times, but she's still not that bad!

"What are you talking about Emma? Don't you know how lucky you are right now? So many beautiful women wanted to marry the eldest son of the Ding family but were all refused by him. I don't know what he sees in you!" Sofia looked at her daughter like she's crazy, how can she not be super excited like her!

"Is he really that great?" Emma stares at her mother like she's some kind of a crazy fan of Ding Jie-Jun.

"You should know better than anymore just how great he is. He is young, smart and rich! Just like your fathers when they were young. And best of all, if you married him, you don't have to live with his parents or with us since he had his own business and a big mansion in a nearby town!"

Now that Emma thinks about it, Ding Jie-Jun is a good catch. He is handsome, very smart since he had his own properties and managed to run it well all by himself. And his parents are very good friends with her parents too, so the two families will be able to get along very well.

Emma is still thinking about Ding Jie-Jun but her attention was brought back when her mother starts talking again.

"The Ding family made a request along with the marriage proposal, they want their second son to also marry you are the same time. I think it's fine, but it would be better if they have three sons!"

"Mother, you still going on about that?" Emma seriously doesn't understand her mother's thinking.

"Look at your two older sisters, they followed my example and found 3 brothers to marry to at the same time. Look how happy they are now and how peacefully their home is, hmph." Sofia just wants the best for her children, and she's annoyed that Emma didn't understand her.

"Okay, so you don't want me to marry the son of Ding's family either now?"

"I have told you before, it's going to be your decision. I will support you with whatever you choose. I believe in freedom of love! You won't be happy if you married someone you don't like, so even though the Ding only have two sons, as long as you like them and they liked you, then mama is okay with it."

"Mama...thank you, I know you want the best for us. I'll listen to you and….." Emma is touch by her mother's words. She knew that in this world, the parents make the decisions for their child, so it was very nice of her mother to let her choose just because she wants her to be happy in the future. But before she can finish saying what she wants and who she will choose, her mother once again stop her in the middle.

"Yay! Emma called me mama again! I have to go tell my husbands now. And since you said you'll listen to me, I'll hurry up and go to reply them with our answer, so we can get your wedding date set." After saying that, she left the same way she comes, like the wind.

"Ma….ther…" Emma is dumbfounded by the change of event. She didn't even give her mother the answer and she ran off already.

Emma didn't have time to sit here and be dumbfounded, she immediately puts her shoes on to chase after her mother. She finally found her mother in Father Ming's room writing something. Inside Father Ming's room, her three fathers are also there.

"Mother!" Emma shouts.

"Oh Emma, come on in. We have heard that you and your mother have already decided to choose one of the marriage proposals from those three. We are surprised and also sad to see you leaving us so early. We were thinking about paying the fine just to keep you with us for an extra year. But since you and your mother have decided then we'll just have to agree to it." Said Father Ming, while the other two fathers agreed with him by nodding their heads.

Father Ming is the eldest of the three brothers, then Father Jing and the youngest is Father Sing. They are 1-3 years apart from each other and their face looks very similar. Even though they look very similar, their personality is completely different.

Father Ming is the eldest, he makes most of the decisions for the family. He is calm and collected and is a very responsible man. My eldest sister is born by him and her personality takes after him. She is a great sister that takes good care of her young siblings.

Father Jing is the complete opposite of his older brother. He likes to go out traveling all the times to have fun and left his job to his two brothers to take care of. Sometimes, he will secretly kidnap mother to go with him. And because of that, we know for sure that my second older sister is born from him. Even though he is like that, he cares a lot about his family and takes great care of this home.

And the last one is Father Sing, he is the previous Emma's birth father. The previous Emma took after his personality quite a bit. He is shy, quiet and gloomy at times, but he is a very nice person that just doesn't really know how to express himself. He is the happiest when he's with my mother because she is the complete opposite of him. I guess that what people call opposite attraction.

Sofia had given birth to a child for each of her husbands. After giving birth to the previous Emma, Sofia puts her foot down and refused to have any more babies. She said it will ruin her body figure. Of course, her fathers will never force her mother to do anything, so they easily agreed to it. All her fathers treat all children born from her mother as their own. There isn't such a thing as 'that's your child and that's mine in this home'.

Back to the present, Emma is surprised by what Father Ming had just said. They are willing to pay a hefty fine just so that she doesn't have to marry so early and can stay with them longer. She's so touched by those words! No other families will do that for their daughters, it's only this home that is full of love. She's just got glad that she has been transmigrated to this home and became their daughter.

"Father Ming, I didn't finish talking to mother yet. She ran off before I can finish saying who I will choose."

All three men suddenly turned to look at their wife who's actually writing the reply letters back to the 3 families.

"Um….wife, Emma just said she didn't finish talking to you yet." Said Father Ming as look at his wife who is very concentrating in her writing right now.

"Ah! She didn't? Is okay, it's okay. She said she'll listen to me and I know who she likes." She's still writing as she replies back. The three men had the 'I knew it' kind of look on their face. How can they let her go talk to Emma about this by herself?

Father Sing is kind of worried for his daughter, but he didn't speak up. He looks like he wanted to say something on his face. The other two brothers knowing his personality spoke up for him.

"Honey, I think we should talk about this. We want to hear from Emma about…" Before Father Jing can finish talking. Sofia suddenly got up from her chair as she picks up the papers she was writing on.

"I'm finished! We can send it out right now." Said Sofia happily as she starts to fold the letters and putting them into envelopes. She did it very quickly and turns to her husbands' whose currently all looking at her.

"What? You said something to me?' Sofia looks confused, why are all her husbands and even Emma are looking at her.

Before Father Jing can continue saying what he started, Emma spoke first.

"Mother! You didn't finish listening to what I have to say before you ran off. Who did you choose for me! Emma sounded a bit mad and annoyed by her mother's action.

"Huh? You liked the eldest son of the Ding family, right? So I'm replying back to them that we accept their marriage proposal. Did I select it wrong?" That's a question mark on Sofia's head, she knew Emma liked Ding Jie-Jun. Or did she really make a mistake and select the wrong one?

"Um….well….no. You selected the right one but we didn't get to talk about the request that came along with the marriage proposal." Her face is bright red from admitting that Sofia had selected the right person that she wants to choose. But what about the request that came with it? She really doesn't want to have more than one husband, at least not right now. She isn't prepared for it.

"What's there to talk about?"

Now, the three brothers turn to look at Emma. If their wife selected correctly and she agrees to it, what does she want to talk about?

"Mother, the request is that they want me to marry the second son too at the same time. I don't agree to that, I only want to have one husband for now."

"Why? You marry one husband, you get an extra one free. Isn't that great, I wish they have two extra free ones." Sofia is saying it like she's going to a store to get a bargain.

"No, I don't need an extra free one!"

The three brothers watching them talk is all dumbfounded. So they are considered as marry one and get two free. But who are the two free ones?

"Emma, think about it. The law requires us women to have at least three husbands, so you will eventually have to marry three men. So why not marry the younger brother too. That way, at least they know each other so there won't be many conflicts later on." Sofia said it very seriously, she hopes that her daughter will understand it's not going to be easy to hold the family together when there's too much of a disagreement, jealous and fight in a family. Men are strange creatures, they are okay with sharing with her own brothers, but not with outsiders.

The three fathers also jump in to convince their daughter.

"Emma, what your mother said is true. If your mother married more men into the family, we won't say anything but our heart will feel uncomfortable. We can't imagine sharing your mother with others. I won't say we don't argue or have conflicts in this home, but we keep it to the minimum since we are a real family." Said Father Ming in a serious tone.

"That's right, Emma. Think, if your Father Ming and Father Sing is not my brother and I kidnap your mother to go away traveling by ourselves like before, do you think they will give me and let it go so easily?" Father Jing also voice in.

"Um….they are correct. You should listen to them. I know my own personality, no girl in a good family will want to marry me, but brothers insisted that I marry their wife. I know they did it for my own good." Father Sing actually said so many words at once! That's very rare for him and of course, Emma understands what he's trying to say.

After thinking about it for a while, Emma has agreed to marry to the Ding brothers altogether. She's living in this world, there's no choice for her. Even if she doesn't choose now, the world government will choose one for her when the time comes. So she might as well choose someone first. And at for the third husband, she'll worry about it when the time comes.

"Great! I'll send these letters out right away. And hubbies, you guys go prepare for our youngest daughter's wedding." Sofia suddenly changes back to her old self and start moving quickly. Since it has been decided, even her fathers move quickly and follows her mother's orders.

Right before Sofia walk out of the room to have someone deliver the letters, she turns right back and said:

"Emma, since it's been decided, don't forget to study the book that I gave you. You'll need it very soon!" She gave Emma a wink and continues to walk out.

Emma sweatdrops when she heard her mother mentioning the book she gave her. She thought to herself, did I really made the right decision?
