23 The Werewolves, the Werecat and the Rooivalk.

The sudden explosion sent Naomi's pack in tatters, body parts, knocked out wolves and dirt rose into the air at the crack of thunder. It caught everyone by surprise, but also triggered the brutal clash of claws and canines. Naomi moved aside to allow her pack to attack first, so she could asses how her new foe moved. Quintin tore at very body blindly, and was making short work of them, Naomi saw only an animal, and knew she still had the upper hand, him being a mindless beast, her being a thinking monster, she smiled but her assessment was quickly short lived. through the smoke of the explosion appeared something that made her realise, all odds were against her now.

So high in the air the sound of it's engines couldn't reach the ground. The Rooivalk hovered calmly, easily held there by Frits in the pilot seat, Koos who sat in the gunner seat had eyes on Quintin.

"Hes facing them alone, either those other wolves are cowards, or he told them to stay back" Koos said.

"Is that Cleopatra in front?" Frits asked looking through the thermal camera.

"Dont know, its a problem, how do we intend to kill Cleopatra if we don't even know how she looks?"

"Lets give that front one the burden of being Cleopatra for now, what do you suggests we do then?" Frits asked.

"Lets have Quintin focus on her, and we'll focus on thinning her pack out" Koos said seeing the huge amount of wolves still hiding in the bush behind her, and another group behind a hill to Quintin's right side. He smiled, hey couldn't hide from the thermal no matter where they dug in.

"The moon, its comming" Frits said. From their vantage point they saw the white light flow over the clearing like water.

"Let's see what kind of monster frikkie turnes into" Koos said but Frits slapped the front seat.

"Ignore Quintin for now, i see an opportunity for massive damage"

Koos saw his reason, a large group of wolves closed the gap and moved into the clearing behind the lead female.

"That's perfect, im going to let go of a fire and forget heavy impact missle, as i fire, drop in and come in low, when that thing hits i want to be right on top of them!"

"Copy that"

Koos fired the missile, it went forward then dropped when it came in directly above its target. As it went in, Frits dropped the controls and the Rooivalk plummeted to the ground, when they got close to ground level he drew up, with speed the helicopter was fast over treetop hight, in front they saw the incoming missile, when it struck Koos armed the rest of the weapons.

The Rooivalk Cleopatra said was going to aid her in this battle, now came over at blind speed, turned flying backwards then disappeared over the hill releasing its ordinance on the pack members hiding there. The 'Brrrrr' of its machine gun and the continuous cracks of its rocket pods resulted in rapid explosions and the sounds of yelping wolves, Naomi was furious.

"Devonte! focus attack on that helicopter! I'll deal with the pussycat!" She roared and lept up, coming down directly above Quintin, he saw her in time and evaded, but she chained her attacks, not letting up, Quintin being a wild animal at this stage, didn't know how to counter her, only defend and attempt to attack back, but that only resulted in Naomi taring at him viciously.

"The cat's in trouble!" Michael said standing up.

"No! go in there now and that helicopter will mistake you for an Anubis! you have black fur too you idiot!" Dianne yelled.

"Ill go then" Claire said "Hopefully they're smart and notice my white fur" She said and jolted towards Quintin, halfway there Claire grabbed a dismembered arm and on approach lept towards Naomi, taking her by surprise. But Naomi could easily evade Claire's attack, Claire though wasn't there to fight her, she turned to Quintin, his eyes empty, rage filled, she shoved the arm into his mouth "Eat you stupid cat!"

"Look There's a white wolf between them!" Frits said.

"Brave one hey? lets back it up!" Koos said.

"Oh Claire, you revealed yourself so early, now ill slay you like the dog you are!" Naomi roared.

"Speak for yourself" Claire said panicking, she couldn't possably stand against an amarok, but its a valid sacrifice. If this cat behind her had quenched its thirst for blood, it would gain its sanity back, then there will be hell to pay for Naomi, Claire smiled, knowing this is her end, but the rappid eruptions of dirt made a line infront of Naomi, halting her attack, only afterwards the brrrrr noise of the Rooivalk's machine gun followed.

"Feed her koos! i think she's hungry!" Frits yelled coming right above Claire and lining its nose at Naomi, Koos tapped the trigger and two hellfire missiles launched towards her, Naomi knew, these ones, even if she dodged them it will damage her. There was a plume of black smoke just before the missles hit, and was soon blown away by their imact and explosions.

"What de fok!? did you see that!? she blew up before the missles hit!" Frits yelled.

"Gain altitude Frits! it might be one of her tricks! Remember what Naledi said!" Koos yelled.

Frits drew the rod up and the Rooivalk rose rapidly, just in time as Naomi appeared behind them and attempted to slash the tail off.

"Fok! that was close!" Frits yelled turning mid air. Koos fired with the mashine gun but again Naomi disappeared with a plume of smoke.

Claire was shocked at how low that helicopter came in above her, it gave her clear indication that it was protecting her, she couldn't help blush "That thing is so awesome"

"Claire!" Michael yelled as he took down an attacking Anubis just in time, all around him his pack landed to defend her and Quintin.

"You idiot's the helicopter!" She yelled at them.

"Finally those wolves grew some balls! now its a battle!" Koos yelled.

"I think they remained behind because they thought we'd mistake them for the enemy" Frits said laughing.

"Well then-" Koos saw the main female reappear between what remained of her pack "Lets show them that were not as stupid as they think"

"Copy"

Frits leveled the helicopter then decended, untill ot came to a hover right above Claire again, its weapons aimed at Naomi.

"This is the end game" Koos said.

Just as before, Quintin's rage was dwindling, he could see past the red again, all around him stood black werewolves, but they had more wolf like ears, and red eyes. In front of him, a white werewolf, he then looked at his hands, he held an arm, but only what was left of it "Did.... did... did i just eat this arm!?" he yelled "O fuck! im a cannibal!"

The group of wolves around him looked at him confused, this enraged animal suddenly freaking out about something that was normal to them.

"You!?" He looked at the white wolf, she turned to him "You fed me an arm!?"

"Get yourself together cat, were on the front foot here, almost done" She smiled. Quintil looked up but fell when he saw the helicopter hovering closely above "Fuck! thats too low! Tell that asshole to pull up!"

Naomi heard all of Quintin's words, her ears sagged, he didn't change after all, not by much atleast, her heart in sorrow now, how could she attack the man who gave her everything she ever needed.

"Naomi?" Devonte asked "Are we going to attack or not?"

"Seriously Devonte, we are outmatched, let's retreat" she said sadly.

"No! Were attacking! Cleopatra was wrong about you! you're too weak!" He roared and waved, the remainant of her pack charged forward, but the Rooivalk came forward and started firing its second set of rocket pods, and those who managed to evade by jumping, got a hailstorm of lead through the heart and head, it wasn't long when Devonte staggered back past her "Fuck!"

"Told you"

"Im out of here!" he yelled fleeing, but the machine gun from the helicopter took him down effortlessly. Now Naomi stood, as Quintin stood against her, alone against the odds.

"Naomi" Quintin said approaching her, she smiled at him.

"You won Quintin"

"Does that mean you'll come with me?"

She shook her head "I can't, regardless of how much i love you my loyalty will always be with Cleopatra"

"Oh come on Naomi! this is bullshit!"

She readied for attack but the Rooivalk let out another hellfire, she decided to end it there, another plume of smoke as the explosion erupted, blowing the sand into the air again.
