38 A new Kind of trouble...

As the a white glint flashed one after another from the collision of their swords, Julius and Dominic continue to fight it out.

Each executing the respective sword moves from their families' sword techniques. Julius' sword appeared to be centered on the concept of 'Continuous barrage' till the enemy's defense crumbles. While Dominic's were centered on 'Parry then Counter' this allowed him to get inside the enemy's defenses.

At first glance it may look like Dominic should have the upper hand with his 'Parry and Counter' style. But with his exquisite use of his sword techniques, Julius pressures Dominic so much that he couldn't afford to move inside his defenses without getting hit in the vital areas.

The fight between these two knights were intense and blood-boiling while the fight on Samael's side was a bit lackluster, in other words, it was just a one-sided slaughter.

Even when these seven men ganged up on him, with his strength and martial prowess, he could easily beat them up. They even tried to use a combined attack of Fire and Wind elemental attacks but these two poorly controlled elemental attacks were no match to Samael's precisely controlled Terminus Ice defense.

"Time to end this"

Samael then ducked and avoided the punches of three people coming at him. As he ducked he stretched out his left feet and spun. His feet struck the feet of the three people that attacked him, getting them off balance and with a swift movement, he slowly rose while punching them to into the air, one after another.

He attacked them in a angle that once in the air, all three would intersect one another. Indeed, they did. Samael wasted no time as he jumped up above the the men, lined up perfectly and he used an attack he recently began to train in.

"Heaven Breaking Fist!" Samael punched out, aiming for the three men slightly below him.

Then from his fist, a great amount of power and momentum gushed out. Followed by Samael's energy essence, his punch appeared like a golden dragon. As this dragon rushed towards the target, it looked majestic and powerful, staying true to the name of art, it really seemed like it intended to break the heavens itself with the great power and momentum behind it.

"Ack!"

"Buh..."

"Puh!"

The three men got hit by Samael's Heaven Breaking Fist, after initially colliding in the air they were then slammed down to the ground under the might of the Samael's fist. As the dust settled, the three of them twitched but it was evident that they could no longer get up.

This left only four more opponent for Samael.

Back at Julius' fight with Dominic, the went back and forth between offense and defense.

Ding!

Their two blades struck each other again, the two then jumped back and gained some distance between each other.

"You've improved. I can't say i'm pleased with how you're doing despite how injured you are." Dominic took his stance again. Left hand outstretched with his right hand pointing the sword forward.

"Pu! You just won't admit that i became better than you." Julius spat blood on the ground. He held his sword with both hands and raised it up, pointing towards Dominic.

"All this effort, for a girl? Really, Julius? If its girls you want I can introduce you to some who are much more gorgeous than that woman." Dominic started talking about Stella.

You could see Julius' face twitch for some reason as he replied "It's not about her, I just can't tolerate your actions as a Knight!"

and with that he charged towards Dominic and their battle continued once more.

Blades meeting one another, each fighter gave it their all, using their families sword styles. As the battle progresses, the momentum began to shift into Julius' favor. He began to attack more relentlessly and he fearlessly started to enter more into Dominic's area of defense. His aura growing more sharper even berserk-like in feeling.

Their fight went on as Julius continue to pressure Dominic until Julius saw an opening within Dominic's defenses due to his relentless assault. Julius capitalized on this opening which Dominic narrowly avoided but he payed for it dearly. As he dodged Julius' incoming strike this completely crumbled his area of defense which opened even more area for Julius to attack.

The result was that Julius managed to disarm him with an impeccable strike and in the same motion he pinned Dominic to the ground, his sword pointing to Dominic's throat.

"You got me..."

Julius didn't know why but there was a boiling anger rising from deep inside of him and his sword was slowly bore down on Dominic.

"Whoa, whoa! You already won, didn't you?!" Dominic slowly started to panic as he felt the tip of Julius' sword approaching his neck.

Samael naturally heard Dominic's voice and he turned towards their battle and saw the situation between the two. He just ended the battle on his side, honestly it was just a warm up for him, the attacks these people didn't interest him, they were extremely lacking in combat experience.

But seeing the situation between Julius and Dominic, he thought to himself 'Well, this is interesting'

"Julius, you little prick. Just try it, come on, I dare you. My eldest brother will want an explanation, I wonder how will you big brother fare against mine?" Dominic resorted to threatening, once talking sense didn't got through to Julius.

"..." But Julius remained silent even after the threats Dominic spewed towards him and you could see the tip of his sword stopped moving, this showed that Dominic's threat got through to him and he was hesitating.

Dominic obviously noticed it and he pressed on "Ha...ha... that's right. You should know how powerful my eldest brother is, right? You wouldn't want anything to happen to you big brother, so release me already, you already won this fight."

You could tell that Dominic was genuinely fearing for his life and Julius was caught between his anger and fear that something might happened to Julian if he went through with this. It was a delicate balance between the two of them but someone just had to break it.

"Why don't you just do it?"

"What?"

The two obviously heard this voice but it was Dominic who reacted first and before he could react this person spoke again.

"Just do it. What do you have to fear? I have a better understanding on Julian's strength and I am certain that whoever this guy's brother is, Julian can take him. So why don't you just do it then?"

"Samael, are you serious...?" Now it was Julius who reacted.

The Red Dusk Academy forbids fights between students but that was only if they got caught. Hidden fights between other students and even bullying was always happening as long as it was done in the shadows.

But as a knight raised and train to uphold the rules, obeying the rules is one of the things he has drilled into him since he was a boy. Thus, the idea of killing or even heavily injuring someone whilst inside the academy still didn't sit well with him even when he was angry.

Still, as he stared straight at Samael, he found that there was something strange with his eyes. Samael's eye glowed redder than usual and there was a strange lifeless feel to them. Staring into them made it like there was a demon whispering into his ear.

"Do it" it echoed to him.

This scared Julius more than the idea of injuring Dominic. Samael, at this moment, looked like a seasoned killer who had killed so much that he no longer give a damn about someone's life.

"You! W-what are you saying?! You know killing inside the academy warrants heavy punishment." Dominic shivered, Samael's voice seemed so deadly cold to him that for the first time in his life, he feared for his life.

"And fights aren't? Face it, you're just a privileged, pampered kid, whose luckiest day might as well be the day when you were even conceived in the womb of a noble woman..." Samael showed a face of disgust, hearing Dominic's threat.

He then continued "...Hiding behind 'Rules' when you're in a perilous situation and bending it when it damn pleases you...Grow a pair, will you? How many people have you actually bullied with your status and power?"

Samael then took out his spear and continued "I'm no saint but if i was the one in his place..." He pointed at Julius and said. "...I would've already killed you, no matter what may came after."

Out from Samael's body, a great deal aura gushed towards Dominic and overwhelmed him. Without a doubt Samael would do what he said once the situation presented itself.

For Dominic this was the last straw for him and he finally broke down and cried out as loud as he could.

"Eldest Brother help me!!!"

His voice echoed throughout the whole forest and to the plaza, even to some of the outer parts of the seven peaks.

Literally like a few seconds after, Samael turned to his left as he felt an aura locked down on them. This aura was oppressive and heavy but Samael wasn't gonna take it lying down.

Black lightning rolled all around him and the temperature around him took a nose dive that it greatly surprised both Julius and Dominic. Their bodies shivered, they were both 2-star Spiritual Root cultivators with a dense foundation and exceptionally sturdy body but the sudden drop of temperature immediately affected them.

But what shocked them the most was the aura and power that was exuding from Samael's body. The moment his power exploded, Samael's unrestrained aura flowed forth, resisting the foreign aura locked on to them.

"There he is..." Samael muttered as he stared to the black dot coming towards them.

It slowly got closer till he saw the features of the man, he had the same tanned-colored skin as Dominic but he much more refined than Dominic, like a actual noble. Samael saw this man wielding a spear as he readied for an attack.

"Duck!" Samael shouted to Julius as the former quickly jumped away.

Samael readied his spear, summoning and pouring all of the energy essence he can muster to it. Black lightning furiously crackled around it as the ground beneath Samael's feet froze.

The mysterious figure bore down with his spear but Samael intercepted with his.

As the tip of their spears collided, it created a massive explosion of energy that caused winds akin to a storm, the trees around them bent under the strength of these winds.

When the winds died down and the dust has settled, Samael took a few steps back and got a good look on who this powerful new comer was.

"You deflected my blow..quite impressive for someone of your level. Tell me your name." This guys said.

"Heh...and why should I, just because you said so? Know your place." Samael's pride spiked after hearing this guy talk to him as if he was above him.

"You prideful little brat, you should be careful how you speak. There are a lot more people way powerful than you are, you learn the phrase 'there are heavens above the heaven'" This guy said.

Hearing him, Samael rolled his eyes as he muttered "Oh...you have no Idea."

"You might have been able to block my initial blow but I was holding back, you won't be able do it again."

Samael responded "Try me." and his aura and power roared once again.

But the mysterious guy didn't continued to pay attention to him and instead turned to Julius who just stood up after the explosion.

"Hmm...It seems I have to properly 'thank you' for taking 'care' of my little brother." He said to Julius.

But then another aura locked into them like a sword and a familiar figure arrived at the scene.

"I dare you to show your 'gratitude' to my brother, Charles...I dare you."

"Big Brother!" Julius' eyes gleamed with joy as he saw his big brother coming to his aid.

The mysterious person, Dominic's eldest brother whom Julian called 'Charles' turned to Julian as he said.

"You've gone quite conceited, while I was in deep meditation. Care to test my spear?" It looks like Charles was quite confident with his skills in using a spear.

But contrary to his expectation, Julian didn't hesitate to take his challenge but instead, a smile crept up his mouth as he said.

"Oh please...deep meditation? You're level didn't even increase significantly based from what I felt from you aura and essence earlier and you have the balls to even brag?" Julian showed a mocking smile before he pointed to Samael.

"And don't brag about your spear arts, that brag over there just blocked 70% of your power and didn't break a sweat. I've seen a much more profound and stronger spear arts than yours..."

Julian stopped there and took out his greatsword, pointing it towards Charles and he continued.

"So if you want to challenge me with that level of spear arts, I will surely make you regret it..."

Julian's aura slowly rose and his demeanor changed into that of a sword, sharp and deadly. But unlike Julius' sword-like aura which seemed overbearing, Julian was much more concentrated and refined.

But Charles wasn't gonna be outdone and his aura rose to match and counter Julian's. While Julian's aura was like a sword, his was like a spear. Their auras clashed with each other but you barely could distinguish them as both aura were sharp and deadly.

The two new fighters were ready to battle it out but suddenly another foreign aura erupted and forcible cancelled both of their auras.

'Damn, this day is just full of surprises...' Samael thought to himself as he felt the new aura boring down on them.

"Stop this at once!" Accompanying the appearance of the aura was a commanding voice.

All of them looked up and saw a man in his late twenties, wearing a teacher's uniform. But all them was shocked as they read the pin on this guy's left chest.

"Vice Principal, Rafael Algoth..."

Shit! It's the vice principal!
