37 New House, new troubles...

The Skies were beginning to turn dark once they've reached their new house.

"Big brother, we're gonna live here right?" Casey asked, her excitement radiated from her eyes.

"Yup." Samael nodded.

The two then entered their new house. It was a fairly small house compared to the house inside the city but it was good enough for the two of them. There were four rooms big enough for a one person to sleep in each and a living room, a kitchen and a small courtyard to practice cultivation in.

Each room had a one-person bed in them, a cabinet and a small drawer. The living room had a circular table and four chairs around it while the kitchen had all the necessary cooking equipments and utensils.

"Alright, that room is yours and this one's mine." Samael pointed to the two rooms in front of each other.

He didn't want to be in the same room with Casey as he cultivates in the night and he was afraid that the cold from his Terminus Ice would harm her.

Casey hesitated, lowering her head before facing Samael with a complicated expression. Samael naturally understood what she was feeling and chose to compromise.

He crouched down and lightly raised her head with his fingers and said "Okay, okay, but only for tonight, alright? Big brother still has to become stronger."

Hearing this, Casey's face turned to a bright smile as she said "Really?! Thank you, Big brother." And she walked forward to hug him.

Samael chuckled at the silly actions of this child but he understood where she was coming from. She was still hung up on her mother's death, she was still not used to the fact that she's gone and needed time to get used to it.

After a heartfelt moment between the new brother and sister, they entered Samael's room and after placing down their belongings, the two laid down on the bed with little girl falling asleep after a couple of minutes. Seeing this, Samael lightly chuckled and fell asleep after.

The next morning, Samael woke up earlier than Casey and began taking out their respective belongings and were they should be placed. After that's done, he began to cook a light breakfast of Bacon and Egg that he found in the kitchen.

Casey woke up a bit later and made her way to the living room where she smelled the delicious aroma that thoroughly woke her up.

"Good morning, eat up." Samael greeted her with a smile.

There was a plate of food for one person on the table which meant that he already ate his share and this was for Casey.

"Big brother made this?" Casey asked but her eyes were glued to the food before her.

Samael laughed, seeing this and he nodded. "Uh-huh."

"Thanks for the food." Casey grabbed the fork and after saying her gratitude she began to eat.

"Just eat there; Big brother will just do his morning exercise outside." Samael said.

He made his way out to the small courtyard of their house, probably 3-4 square meters. Samael started his routine with a light fist set before switching to practicing his "Heaven Breaking Fist" art. He tried to execute it with the minimum amount of strength as to refine his control over the art itself.

He did the same with his "Rings of Saturn" art and "Orion's Luminous Spear" art. Starting with some slow, basic movements before practicing the art itself he continued to refine his control over his combat arts. As for his "Mercurial Step" he marked a line about 2 meters in between and began to move between the two lines. He took note of where his feet would land, whether it be too much away from the lines or too near.

After a while, he noticed Casey was sitting idly at the courtyard entrance, watching him. He stopped his practice and wiped the sweat on his forehead before walking towards her.

"What's wrong?" Samael asked her.

Casey seemed to hesitate for a moment before she faced him with a determined look.

"Big brother, I want to train to become stronger."

He had long anticipated that she would one day say this so this didn't come as a surprise. He sat beside her and he began to ask her an important question.

"Okay then, what kind of person do you want to be when you become stronger?"

"I want to become some who will defeat the bad guys and save others." She said.

"Alright, big brother will train you after we test your elemental affinity." He smiled at her.

Samael then continued to train as Casey observed him. After his training a few visitors arrived.

"Samael~ You there?" A female voice rang out from outside their house.

He then shouted back "I'm here! Come on inside."

Hearing a couple of footsteps, he then saw two beautiful women. Lina was wearing a Violet colored robe while Silvia was wearing an indigo colored robe and following her was the little white lion cub, Leo.

Casey immediately saw the little creature and dashed forward to hug it. "Leo~"

Once the little guy was in her grasp there was no escape, well there was no need either as it looked like it was enjoying the attention it was getting from Casey.

"Whoa, so this is the little girl I've been hearing about." Lina saw the little girl rushed forward, pouncing on the white lion cub.

"So Silvia has already told you? That makes things easier." Samael walked towards Casey who was cuddling the Leo.

Casey understood that she had to introduce herself so standing up, while carrying Leo she put on the best smile she could. "Hello Big sister, I'm Casey and Big brother will be taking care of me."

"Aww~ She's so cute. Come here." Lina's face seemed so elated and she quickly crouched down and pinched Casey's cheeks. Looks likes she's fond of kids.

"Nice of you to bring Leo, Silvia, Casey looks so happy." Samael smiled as he saw the pure look of bliss on Casey's face.

"No problem." Silvia flatly said.

Samael then thought to himself 'looks like when she's with other people she reverts to her usual cold self.'

Things calmed down soon and they all gathered at the living room. All three of them sat around the table while Casey was busy playing ball with Leo.

"So, can you tell me what's the story behind that kid?" Lina asked.

Even though Lina probably had heard the story from Silvia, she must've want to hear the whole story from the person who experienced it himself. So Samael took a breath to calm himself before retelling the story of what happened the same as he had told Silvia as well.

Sigh...

After hearing the whole story, Lina sighed and a look of sadness covered her face.

"I see...How unfortunate. So you plan to take care of her from now on, huh?"

Samael answered "That's the plan."

"Well good luck with th-"

"Princess Lina! Silvia! Help me!" Suddenly their talk was interrupted by a alarming call for help.

Everyone in the house heard this voice and the three of them abruptly rose from their seats as they recognized this voice. It was from Stella!

"Casey! Stay with Leo and wait for our return." Samael quickly told Casey.

The three of them quickly went out of the house where they saw Stella with a flushed face and panting. When they came out of the house, Stella quickly saw them and run to them.

The two groups met and Silvia helped Stella to catch her breath by supporting her.

"Stella what's wrong?" Silvia asked, her "Ice Princess" mask seemed to be breaking at the sight of her troubled friend

"Is someone harassing you again?" He quickly asked, he was worried that that Dominic guy might be troubling her again.

"No...ha~ Not me, Julius! He's in trouble! Dominic was troubling me again and he helped me but now he's surrounded by Dominic's eight lackeys. They brought him to forest."

So I was right!

"Why didn't anybody stop them?" Lina asked.

Stella panted a bit before saying. "Because Dominic started threatening them using his family background."

"That guy is really not afraid of death!" Samael gnashed his teeth.

Lina clicked her tongue in irritation, Julius is the younger brother of her Fiancee. To her he was family already! "Samael, you're the fastest among us here, go quickly and help Julius. I'll go and get some teachers."

Samael nodded and turned to Silvia "Get her inside the house and stay with Casey."

After that Black Lightning once again crackled beneath his feet and he raced off. Quickly passing by a bunch of people along the way, Samael rushed towards the the plaza. As Stella only mentioned 'forest' he didn't know which forest of the Academy was she talking about. It could be the Northern, western or the southern forest!

So once he reached the plaza, Samael used 'Mirage' to reach a high altitude to get a better view of the overall surrounding area.

While in the air Samael spun 360 and got a good look of the forest surrounding the academy and he also focused his senses for any signs of battle or the fluctuations of Energy essence.

Finally he felt a tingling sensation go through his brain as he scanned the eastern forest.

He adjusted his posture mid-air and used 'Mirage' to propel himself towards the eastern forest. But what he didn't know that someone was monitoring his movement just now and saw everything he did.

"That just now was magnificent and his usage of the two element is just ingenious! But I wonder how far will he go..." Said the mysterious person.

Samael didn't notice that he was being monitored and he continued towards the eastern forest. With his speed he reached in just a couple of seconds.

Mid-air Samael saw ten people, nine of them were surrounding one person. Samael took a look at the one who was being surrounded and he recognized him, he was Julius.

He had a cut above his eyebrows and his right cheeks was also bleeding. Julius was grasping his left arm but Samael didn't know if he was injured heavily or not. Either way, these guys are gonna pay.

Like a bolt of lightning, Samael flashed down, striking the ground.

"What the-"

Dust blew all around the place but Samael didn't stop moving, right after he landed he darted to one of the people surrounding Julius and began to beat him up.

"Uh...ack!" This poor person groaned as Samael beat him up.

The dust quickly settled and every one saw who this new comer was.

"You!" Julius was surprised.

"It's you again!" The leader of this group, Dominic, gnashed his teeth as he remembered how many times Samael and Julius kept him away from Stella, especially Julius!

"I don't know what you're thinking by coming here all by yourself but don't think that you can just waltz out of here." Dominic had a threatening look on his face as he drew the sword hanging on his hips.

Samael landed the last punch to incapacitate the guy beneath his feet and he said back

"Didn't plan to."

His aura started to rose as he began to walk towards Dominic, crackling his knuckles.

But then, Julius stretched his arms towards Samael and said "Wait!"

Samael stopped and turned to Julius wondering why he stopped him and then Julius continued.

"He's mine!"

Hearing this, Samael smirked. He approved of Julius' attitude, no man should ever back down from a challenge!

He then saw a sword lying on the ground beside him, with a light stomp, the sword jumped to the air from the force of his stomp. While the sword was mid-air Samael followed it up with a light kick, sending the sword towards Julius

Julius flawlessly caught the sword despite his injuries and he took his stance. His whole aura changed, his body language radiated akin to a sword...Sharp and poised to kill.

Samael smiled at the scene and he turned towards the seven other men.

Soon enough a brawl ensued, Samael battling seven other dudes and Julius battling Dominic.

On Samael's side there wasn't much to see as it was a absolute domination, the two sides were just on different level of skills even if some of them had a higher cultivation level than Samael.

But Julius and Dominic's side of the battle, it was intense!

As both men were from Knight families, they have been trained in the ways of the sword since they were young. Though their cultivation levels weren't that much different, the difference lay in their cultivation art and their sword arts.

Julius probably practices the same sword skill as his older brother, Julian but Samael still had no Idea what sword art Dominic practices.

The two sides took a stance, Julius held his sword with both hands. Dominic on the other hand had his sword on his right while his left hand was outstretched with the blade following the direction of his hand.

And at the same time, the two charged at each other!

Julius slightly raised his sword before bringing it down in a diagonal slash. As the sword approached him, Dominic moved and he spun to his left, avoiding Julius' attack. The sword in his hand then moved in a swift movement he attacked Julius with a horizontal attack aimed toward the neck.

But Julius swiftly ducked before raising his sword for a vertical attack. Dominic jumped back, narrowly avoiding the strike but from his face you could see that there was no worry, looks like he's confident in his skills.

The two then charged towards each other and their blades clashed, blow for blow in a flurry of sword strikes. Each attack filled with killing intent, it looks like these two had a bad history before even adding Stella into the mix.
