Chapter 453: Animagus transformation
Nick was confident that he would finish the ritual without any trouble thanks to his preparations. Still he wanted to be in his best condition for the day he started the transformation and thus didn't do anything that taxed him in any way. He simply spent the next three days hanging out with his friends and helping them with their homework and personal projects. Ron for example was experimenting with cores to see if he could find another supreme core besides those that Olivander has listed. Nick doubted that this would turn up anything considering that Olivander definitely conducted similar experiments before.-
Tracy was focusing on fully mastering the basics of metal work while Daphne and Hermione were starting to experiment with creating runic lines without help. Nick had to point out the few horrible mistakes they made a few times but overall it was fairly good work. Harry and Luna were instead focused on personalizing their combat styles. This was more complex than it sounded as while using the generally taught form of magical combat could take one far it was a fact that the real power house fighters like Dumbledore and Grindelwald had their own styles.-
Once the heat fully spread through Nicks body the real changes started to happen. The familiar phenomena that he had incorporated into the ritual arrived as pain wracked his body and soul. His skin grew thicker and the fine hairs all over his body grew into feathers. his fingers fused together and his arms elongated while the bones became lighter but stronger throughout his body. His teeth grew outwards alongside his jaws before fusing together into a sharp beak. Nicks feet hardened and the his big toe and pinky toes fused with the toes next to them while the middle toe grew wider and longer.-
The final large change was that Nicks entire body began to swell in size while the proportions shifted into their new form. The transformation took nearly an entire hour and when it finally ended a seven foot tall bird with silver grey and golden feathers with black patterns and two sets of wings and long tail feathers stood within the room. "TZZEERR!" The bird cried out and the storm raging outside froze as if by command for the briefest moment. In the workshop Dusk cried out as well while in Dumbledores office Fawkes did the same. "So he succeeded then , I can't wait to see what form he took." The old wizard said with a small smile.-
Nick meanwhile calmed himself down after that instinctual cry of joy at his finished transformation. 'It's odd how natural this feels. It's like I have always known how to walk with talons and fly with four wings.' Nick though as he felt out his new forms movements. 'Lets give that a go to see if my theory on where Nazgul got it from is correct.' he thought before there was a bright flash of electric energy and he was gone. Almost at the same time there was another bright flash of electric energy at the blitzball field ring as he manifested there.
