18 Hey little buddy...

Ziade woke early because there's a long journey ahead and he did not want to sleep in due to laziness.

Ziade got out of bed and slipped his sandals on, did some stretches and straightened himself up before saying, "Shift" Masamune instantly reappears on Ziade's back.

Ziade feels his face which had bandages covering half of it, "This is going to get annoying, real fast."

'Yeh I wouldn't like that.'

'Okini you don't even have a body let alone a face.'

'...No need to be mean about it.'

'I'm just stating the facts, I'm not being mean.'

'...One day I'll have the biggest body ever.' Alexis Okini states with the passion of a teenage dreamer.

'...Good luck.' Ziade sarcastically replies.

Ziade washes his face and currently long hair before strolling out the house, he looks at the destruction which is a fair distance away for a bit before turning his head away and continuing on his journey to the Snowy Mountains.

While the birds that flew above in the sky with the sunset rising in the distance, there came people from all over the continent coming to the wonderful kingdom Verutomo to conduct trade, sell merchandise, tour the kingdom everyone came here for all sorts of purposes but what they saw.... was nothing, there were no kingdom that stood high anymore, there was nothing. Everything burnt to ashes, only the buildings outside the massive kingdom were spared from disaster... Now anyone who wasn't aware of the disaster now they knew since this news was spread across the whole continent.

While Ziade was walking he pulled out some food and some water for breakfast and ate/drank it along the way. After he was done he kept on walking for a couple of hours before taking a rest beside a tree.

"So what's comin ' next?" Ziade says out loud.

He pulls out his map and compass to see what the best route to take is.

'So... it's pretty much flat land from here for a couple of months, no mountains... great.'

Following the short rest, Ziade propels himself on his feet, throws on his coat and continues on with his head slightly down since he just got worst chill.

"Choo!" Ziade sneezes, "Someone must be talking about me..."

After 9 months of travelling Ziade finds himself in front of a gigantic snowy mountain.

He stands there with his arms crossed into his chest staring at how high this mountain goes up... the Snowy Mountains stood high into the clouds.

"Something different seeing it up so close... amazing... lucky it isn't really steep, I can walk up this, maybe a little bit of climbing will be needed."

'Ziade remember this mountain is dangerous, it's inhabited with ferocious monsters not like the ones you've versed from Verutomo.'

'I understand Okini, I'll be careful.'

Just before Ziade went into the Snowy Mountains he opened up his interface,

Along Ziade's journey from Verutomo to the Snowy Mountains, he collected Appies from his kills and also picked up three pretty looking plants.

Ziade now starts traversing the Snowy Mountains...

'Okini, this land is a weird place, according to the map it covers a massive area but all around it is desert like flat land... this isn't supposed to be here, I feel like this is artificially made since it only snows here...' Ziade voices his suspicions to Okini.

Okini replies back after a couple of seconds, 'It seems...'

Ziade keeps his guard up and keeps a look out for the Bijeli snake...

"ROOOOOOOOOOWWWWWLLLLL!"

Ziade looks up and into the snow...

'That doesn't sound too good.' He pushes on in the deep snow. Snow covered everything in sight, nothing could be seen from 3 metres ahead.

After travelling for half an hour Ziade still has found no sign of life... or they've just been hiding...

"These little fuckers are hiding from me!"

Ziade is becoming irritated by fatigue and exhaustion, if he didn't have any cultivation there would be no chance he could survive from the weather.

The snake Ziade was searching for was no strong opponent compared to the other beasts that lurk within these mountains, he just hoped... he wouldn't come across one...

Ziade comes across a steep ice wall... he looks around to see if there is a easy detour... after 2 minutes he comes back to the exact same spot and looks up...

"Fuck sake."

Ziade pulls out his sword while shivering and jumps as high as can before stabbing Masamune into the ice. He does a flip and lands both of his feet while crouching on his weapon. Ziade looks up again and calculates his movements before suddenly jumping up and jumping again by propelling himself of the ice wall with his right foot... he reaches up high with his right hand and goes to grab the edge, his fingers land in the snow and he holds tight to not fall... but it's snow so he slips he starts falling down again but makes a decisive decision,

"Shift."

Masamune instantly reappears in his left hand and Ziade stabs the ice again and as soon as he does he shots himself upwards with his left arm and reaches with his right arm desperately not wanting to fall again. He grabs the edge again with his right hand and then his left, he lifts himself up and lays on his stomach... exhausted. A little insect now crawls on his hand... "Hey little buddy..."

The insect stops and looks at Ziade... then it bites his hand and flys off... "I saw that coming, no damn insects like me..."

After the long rest of 10 seconds he hears movement ahead then focuses with his sword force... and hell, what did he see...

"It's a fucking giant snow ape looking bitch."

"ROOOOOAAAAARRRRRR!"

The intimidating ape pounds his chest with his fists then suddenly stops... and looks at the human through the thick snow... it jumps.

"Fuck." Ziade rolls to the right and dives barely dodging the ape which now stands where he once rested.

The giant ape turns it's head and stares at Ziade, Ziade stands up and stares back.

'Shift.' Masamune appears in his right ready to strike.

'King Soma, 2nd sub level. Beginner Sorcerer, 5th sub level.'

"Tsk easy." Ziade immediately uses his fastest speed and strikes for the head with Masamune.

A blue light surrounds the ape...

"Cling!"

'It made no damage!'

The giant snow ape roars before punching Ziade in the chest...

Ziade was fatigued, exhausted and cocky... he pays the price.

Ziade goes flying down from the high mountain and coughs a massive amount of blood while mid-air. Ziade falls from the mountain still not able to see the ground...

"Is this my end already... what a hassle this is... haha." Ziade chuckles while falling back first in mid-air. He tilts his head slightly to the left and sees... a river that flows down from the Snowy Mountains. Ziade simply smiles... 'Not today it seems...'

He falls in the water with incredible speed and he tries to stop his rapid descent but it doesn't work... he stops himself from falling unconscious due to the amount of pain he is in but he knows he can only hold it off for just a little bit more... he cracks his right cheekbone on a rock where his deep claw injury is... blood flows everywhere within the water... he immediately falls unconscious from the pain.

One young looking guy with blonde hair and pure red eyes who happened to be crouching on a tree hears the water splash and immediately disappears from where he was...
