7 Settling in
Following the time after the two arrived before the massive walls they walk ahead to the guardsman who sits there on chair, cross legged reading a book about cooking.
The guard sluggishly gets off his wooden chair leaves his book on it and walks up to Josh and Ziade who are also walking towards him.
'Corse of Ratiocination 1st level, Master of the hidden blade (Knives). Novice level sorcerer 3rd level.' Okini's voice resounds in Ziade.
'Wow... Master?' Ziade surprised that they have such a strong guard of the kingdom.
"Josh you're back so soon? It's only been three months I thought you went out for enlightenment?" The guard says.
"I will be going back I just needed to bring back an innocent kid who was lost... in the Amaruki Desert." Josh answers.
'Amaruki? How does a kid that is at least 2 years old become lost in that desert? ...'
While the guard was in thoughts Josh interrupts his thinking, "So can we pass Chizire?"
Chizire replies sluggishly and with a boring voice, "oh... sorry... yeh go ahead."
Josh and Ziade walk through the South Gate where hardly no one is on the streets since these parts are just houses where people live, mostly everyone's still asleep, apart from the couple old people out in the front of their houses or the people who've got work to do early in the morning.
Both Ziade and Josh walk for a bit until they find a bench and sit down on it.
Josh passes 20 gold to Ziade secretly and Ziade receives it and puts it in his pocket... but then also secretly the pouch disappears from existence...
The two just look at what's in front of them like the blacksmith moulding a weapon, an old woman setting up a stall with jewellery, cleaners cleaning the road and small pathways from the day before, early in the morning... it's all work.
After they appreciate their surroundings they continue talking, "Boy I would do more for you but I'm never in the kingdom because I travel a lot around the continent, all I can give you is a small house I used to live in and some coins I've collected through my work of adventuring... I know it'll be hard but with your wits you should be alright" Josh seriously says to Ziade.
"I respect you Josh Tarigomu and I need not any more of your help but thankyou for everything you have done for me, without you I would of surely died in that desert." Ziade calmly responds to Josh.
"My hut is the one with the broken lantern at the front, with a small key inside, East gate, straight 12 kilometres then 2 kilometres, remember that." Josh ruffles his hair and looks at the kid once more before saying one last thing before getting up and leaving for the South Gate of Fraylulè, "Kid you're going to have some defining cheek bones when you're older, you've already got lines, stop stressing so much." Josh is now gone leaving Ziade to think.
Little did Ziade know... that Josh got Chizire to look out for him from the shadows... Chizire only worked as guard from 02:00 to 16:00... he worked as something else in the night...
'Lines?... anyway let's go and check out this new house of mine.' Ziade jumps up from the bench and decides to run to the East gate as fast as he can. Ziade notices the numerous expressions on people's faces but he doesn't care and keeps on running to the East Gate. After running and some walking breaks, he covers a couple hundred metres making Ziade at the East Gate about to walk out before...
The guard sees the boy just walk past him without a greeting and decides to teach him a lesson.
"Oi!" The guard sternly says to Ziade making Ziade turn around with little beads of sweat on him from the run.
'Origin Skeleton fifth level, Spear Apprentice' Okini states.
Ziade realises it was rude of him to not say anything to a guard of the kingdom and quickly says, "Sorry Sir! Good morning may I ask what you need from you."
The guard has a puzzled expression on before quickly getting rid of it and also replies good morning to the kid he just met.
"I haven't seen you around here before are you new to kingdom?" The guard then realises he's talking to a 2 year old looking child and was about to rephrase it before... he knows that he did not need to.
"Yes, I have just recently arrived and I will be living just outside these gates, I hope you treat me nicely sir."
The guard pleased with the boys manners decides to treat him well, "Since you live just outside and will most probably be coming to this gate often we will share names, my name is Haimeke Idirop, part of the Idirop clan! 6th Noble clan of Fraylulè!"
"My name is Ziade, just an ordinary guy" Ziade calmly replies.
"You're pretty smart for your age, you are not ordinary." Haimeke responds.
"It's just common sense."
'Common sense my Ass!!!' "Very well you may proceed Ziade, hope to see you soon." Haimeke Idirop states.
"Ok than, see ya!!" Ziade says while waving to Haimeke leaving Ziade walking away in the distance with thoughts.
'I don't want to have a bad relationship with anyone and definitely not a guard I will be passing by to enter the kingdom. Lucky I didn't be rude, he was part of a Noble clan..."
While processing different thoughts Ziade sees a tree with fruit, "... I guess apples are really purple in this world..."
Ziade leaving simple greetings to farmers he walks by thininking ahead, maybe he could ask for some food from them later on, he finally reaches the hut with the broken lantern out front next to the window, the building is made out of dark wood and looks to be only 2.5 metres wide and 6 metres long.
Ziade gets the key from the cracked lantern and opens the door, the hut looks to be cleaned only just a while ago and it holds a simple bed with a white pillow and black blanket also with one rocking chair, a broom in the corner , a big bucket with some soap and cleaning tools beside it and that's it.
Ziade was about to just clean himself right then but he realised it needed water but he couldn't be bothered so he just locked the door undressed from his filthy robes and layed down with no blanket. Even though it was in the morning, Ziade had minimal sleep and his body ached with physical stress, Ziade fell asleep... in his new house naked... on is bed.
Ziade is... Settled in.
