4 Confrontation with a Deadly Monster

After walking for several kilometres for several hours, Ziade finally finds himself out in the desert... still. Okini is sustaining Ziade's body so that he doesn't die but Ziade knows that Okini is only allowed to do this for exactly two days and it's already nightime at around 23:00.

'sigh', 'I've just been lucky to not find any threats this whole while, and it's been night time for a period of time already... there's bound to be creatures out here who hunt at night time... anyone and anything in this desert can absolutely rip me to shreds...' Ziade is thinking with his head towards the ground and sluggishly walking the desert due to exhaustion and tiredness.

Just as Ziade was thinking this, in the cover of the night a big scorpion black in colour sneaks up to Ziade suprisingly coming straight in front of Ziade before stopping and staring at him.

Ziade looks up from the ground after realising that something is in front of him and says,

'Of course I juuust haaaaad to jinx myself, I should of just shut my stupid mo-'

'Omdurman Scorpion, cultivation is Origin Endocrine 3rd level.' Okini states in between.

Before Ziade could finish his sentence the scorpion pounces on him aiming to decapitate him but with Ziade's Western Style Boxing, Kung Fu and Wing Chun training he has developed very fast reflexes and he dives to the right grabbing a hand full of sand in mid air then rolling, the Omdurman spins around to its left simultaneously using it's tail to try and poison Ziade but he dodges again by side stepping throwing the sand at its eyes but the sand has no effect, the stinger thrusting straight into the sand 3mm close to Ziade's head.

Ziade is calm and kind of exited for a fight but he knows he is no match for the Omdurman Scorpion so he decisively decides to... run away from the threat with his full speed but with his 2 year old child body he is not that fast, added with the tiredness of the long trip... Ziade is exhausted. Sweat running down his face, Ziade stops and looks back to the scorpion that has caught up.

Both stand at a stare off, both battle ready in their unique stances.

Ziade comes to a plan to try and dodge its attacks while dealing consecutive damage to the legs of the scorpion so that he has a chance to run away but he knows,

'It's risky' Ziade says in a calm voice knowing that he cannot defeat this creature with no injuries.

Thoughts rushing the Ziade's mind, 'Even if I do dodge it's attacks that bastard is bound to hit me with its claws or stinger, if it hits me with that stinger coated in poison... I'm done for.' 'Maybe I can try and blind it by punching or kicking the eyes... but the stinger will surely get me if I'm in range... but I need to try... let's do it!' Ziade yells inside his mind.

'No... I can't it's a fucking desert scorpion... it senses it's prey with vibrations in the sand... what can I do than...?' Ziade comes to a realisation and thinks himself to be stupid because he would of killed himself.

Ziade comes to a decision with all these thoughts that occurred in a mere 5 seconds, 'The best course of action is to disable it but I have measly strength... I will have to endure and keep full concentration while I dodge his attacks but also always hitting the same leg to at least make him slower.'

In this skirmish they are 10 metres apart, they run at each other now 5 metres apart, the Omdurman scorpion goes for a pincer attack trying to crush his prey, Ziade goes for a dodge but he...

"Arrrrggghhhhh!!!!!" Ziade cry's out in fear and fright.

'Death worm, Tempering Ye third level.'

A massive worm with rough,dirty and poisonous skin with millions of teeth, sprouts up from the sand devouring the front half of the Omdurman scorpion barely missing Ziade, Ziade jumps back and runs a couple hundred metres before he realises that he too can not out run this creature.

After several seconds of thinking up a survival plan... he comes up with none... but then Ziade suddenly comes up with a brilliant idea and instantly runs back to the crime scene and he sees that the other half of the scorpion is still there lying on the sand. Ziade sprints hard with all his might and climbs up the scorpion's lower half and stands there looking down beneath him, waiting for the Death worm to kill him.

After a minute or so of standing still, Ziade sees the Death worm sprouting up beneath with its millions of teeth aiming to absolutely devour him, Ziade smiles at it before the worm ultimately...

Dies... it has been completely disintegrated. Leaving Ziade there thinking on how dumb he was before for neglecting it.

"Get destroyed you little fucker" Ziade says totally disrespecting it unlike how he did to the snake.

Ziade can be a good person and bad person, there is no real good and bad anyway it is just what people think, your heart decides what good and bad is. Ziade is a... human being.

'Congratulations Ziade'

'You have killed a Death Worm of the desert at the Tempering Ye third level. You have earned 10,000 appies and a Death Worm poster.' Okini Notifies Ziade.

'... a poster... didn't expect that but hey... it can hang up in my future house... no, my house... in my own seperate DIMENSION!'

'So Okini with these appies I can buy stuff from the Cash 'n' Carry? Also how did that count as a kill if other kills before didn't Okini?' Ziade questions.

'The reptiles and arachnids that you killed before had no cultivation so it did not give you any funds, only beings with cultivation, be it magic, weapon related or body tempering can allow you Appies.' Okini states.

'Ok, cool' Ziade hops down from the scorpion that is half buried in sand due to the worm and starts walking the same direction he was headin' before something rudely interrupted him before, North.

While Ziade is walking slowly, regaining his stamina, he asks Okini if he just has to think of Cash 'n' Carry' or can he think 'shop' to buy some stuff with his 10,000 appies he just received.

Okini answer, 'You just need to think 'shop' if you find it easier but that will be the only exception I make.

'Shop.' Ziade thinks before information on the shop comes into his brain.

All items in the shop are random. Everything bought in the shop is not guaranteed to be good.

Miscellaneous items can only be items, no living thing can be gained through miscellaneous selection. Information can not be received from miscellaneous. Miscellaneous is items.

Percentages represent the chance at getting a reward that is above decent.

Ziade voices out after consideration on what to buy or to save up, he was thinking to save up but decided to buy some things to just test it out and also he thought he could just kill more creatures to get more appies.

Ziade checks his inventory but also making sure to watch his surroundings while walking. In his inventory lied some items in the slots.

Inventory: Strong Compass, Lollipop, Intermediate Lottery Jackpot Spin, Throwing Knife.

Ziade immediately sucks on the lollipop and is happy with the outcome of the items because he knows that he could of gotten waaay worse.

The Intermediate Spin is deducted... and so is 8,000 appies.

'... I've got nothing to say... this is just... the gods giving me a reward on my epic fight against the worm!' Ziade says with excitement.

Ziade's information he received was; Apples are naturally purple in this world.

Leaving Ziade with a disappointing and wronged expression while sucking on his lollipop. If anybody was to see the expression coupled with the lollipop on Ziade's face they would think that he is the cutest child they have seen for years.

After the battle and rewards, Ziade has now walked with two breaks in between resulting in him walking several kilometres again. It is now 08:00 with the sun high in the sky.

Ziade walks across the desolate desert still... with no lollipop anymore...

Suddenly Ziade focuses his eyes on the distance and he makes it out to be another wondering mons-

No, it is... a... "Human?" Ziade rhetorically questions to himself.
