5 Adventurer
Alex read the books completely. Sometimes, he didn't understand what the word meant, but after a few times re-reading the books, he finally understood it. But because of that, he didn't realize that he needed an entire day to finish these two books.
He thought he should come out of the room for now. John and Sandra could make the king exile him from the castle. He was afraid they could convince him to kill him. He thought he should go to another kingdom to protect himself.
At least, he might be able to fulfill his revenge. Even though it might be in the distant future. At least he had the potential to have his revenge, unlike when he was on Earth where he could do nothing.
Unfortunately, he was still too weak. So, he decided to level up a little bit around this city. But he didn't understand how the city worked, so Alex decided to stroll the capital to gather information.
After Alex went out of the castle, he strolled around and bought necessary items such as clothes and other things which needed for survival since he was planning to leave this kingdom.
After that, he searched for the adventurer guild. He asked about this when he bought his necessity. They said if he wanted to leave the kingdom, it would be easier if he became an adventurer as his identity.
He found the Adventurer guild and as he expected from the Fantasy World. Inside the Adventurer Guild was bustling with people. He looked at the receptionists. All of them were busy handling the people.
But there was one of them that didn't have anyone that wanted to line up in his line. The receptionist was a big guy, full of muscle. Still, from his movement, Alex could see that his movement was delicate and feminine.
Although he didn't want it, he needed to. He thought that he would have the time to explain everything to him since he was not busy.
He looked at the other receptionists, they were so busy. They dealt with every person in a few seconds to a few minutes. Alex would not get what he wanted if he went to them.
\"Hello, how can I help you?\" Asked the receptionist with a very feminine voice. Though Alex wanted to leave after he heard his voice, he held himself back.
\"I'm new here. Can I register here?\" Alex asked politely.
\"Yes, do you bring your status card?\" Asked the receptionist politely too.
\"Yes I have it, here it is. What do you need it for?\" Giving his card, he asked.
\"We only need to update your job. If you already have a high-level job, the adventurer job will become your secondary job.\" Looking at Alex's status, he immediately frowned. \"Sir, are you sure you want to become an adventurer with this status?
\"Yes, I know. I have a weak constitution from birth, but I'm planning to travel to many places, and I will search for plants or herbs on the way. My master taught me how to survive in the forest. And so I thought I could search for a quest like that in the adventurer guild, and here I am.\" This was the reason Alex had prepared.
\"Alright, I will respect your will, but I will remind you once again, Please be careful out there. We won't hold any responsibilities if something happens outside our guild.\" The receptionist advised him.
Satisfied with the receptionist, he thanked him, \"Thank you. I also need a map, does the adventure guild have a map?\"
\"Yes, we sell maps into three categories, standard, detailed, and special. The standard map contained basic information about towns in the kingdoms. A detailed map is a more detailed version from the standard, while the special contained only one place each map. It gives you very detailed information from each place.\"
\"I want the basic one, please.\" Since he didn't have much money on him. He immediately chose the basic one to save the money he had.
\"It's 1 Silver.\"
In this world, the money was divided into four coins: copper, silver, gold, and royal coins. 100 copper=1 silver, 100silver=1 gold, and 100 gold=1 royal.
\"Here.\" He handed one silver coin to the receptionist.
\"This is your map.\" After receiving the payment, the receptionist then handed him the map.
\"Alright, thank you, and is there any caravan that is going to Alisia forest?\" Glancing at the map, he pointed out the closest forest on the map.
\"You can search many of them at the west gate, and they often set off in the morning. Any other question?\"
\"No, thank you very much.\" Satisfied, Alex thanked the receptionist once again.
\"Just doing my job.\" The receptionist said with a smile.
