3 Trial

"4 tons last time I checked."

I answered nonchalantly.

His eyes light up as I spoke.

"1 more ton than last time."

As he was busy thinking about something I spoke in a serious tone.

"I'm leaving the village...

CLANK!

Before I could even finish my sentence my mom who was in the kitchen dropped what she was doing and rushed towards me.

"You're too young you can't leave!"

"Mom you know I'm strong enough to fend for myself and the Eternal Flame told me to do it."

"Bu...

"Carol! We can't stop him and we can't go against the wishes of the Eternal Flame."

My Father said in a cold tone. He looked at me again and spoke.

"When are you leaving?"

"In two days."

I spoke in a resolute manner.

"Come with me tomorrow you're going to the Hundred beast tomb if you survive you can leave."

"No! Dear, that's for the coming of age ceremony he isn't even five yet you want him to fight like a 17-year-old?"

I heard about the Hundred beast tomb before it's supposed to be a right of passage towards adulthood. Aside from that, I don't know anything else. It seems it was a secret. But with my strength, I can handle a few people older than me with my strength alone.

"Okay, I'll do it!"

"Alright, it's been decided go to sleep early today you have a long day ahead of you tomorrow."

"Bu.."

"Carol it's been decided."

I finished my breakfast and walk towards our underground cellar.

If wasn't training near the fire pit I'm here. Training here gives me more freedom to use a little bit of magic.

I closed off the cellar and lit my hand as a small fire took form lighting up the stock room.

"Ignite!"

As I spoke those words all the candles in the cellar light up.

Walked towards the food and other things that might be burn to the sides.

"Ok let's start with the basics.

Reinforced!"

A blast of wind-generated after a magic circle in an image of a Silver dragon surrounded my hands turned them to shining silver.

I took a basic stance and punched. I can feel the air resistance in my knuckles as the air exploded.

Although it was loud it was still blocked by the stone walls that made a perfect soundproof environment.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

I stopped and cast another spell.

"Ignite!"

My hands ignited with blazing fire but before I could even try to punch I realized that some of the grains in the floor that I put aside were burning.

"Ow shit."

I quickly stopped the spell and got a rag and extinguish the fire. I sat down on the floor as I wipe my sweat away.

"Lucky I used normal fire if I've used hellfire."

The mere thought of the house burning gave me shivers.

"Right now, I know 7 true dragon spells Hell flame dragon roar, Hell flame body, Hell flame Ignite, Hell tornado, Adamantite dragon roar, Reinforced, and Armaments.

But all of them has such high requirements the only one I can do right now is Reinforced which lets me temporarily transform any body part to Adamantite, but the mana consumption alone only lets me use it for 60 seconds before my mana runs out.

And I still can't perfectly control a mortal flame how am I supposed to control the flames of Hell? Even Atlas told me my affinity with fire was next to nothing. I can't even train properly in this environment."

After minutes of rest, my mana is full again as I shouted.

"Reinforced!"

My hands surrounded with a magic circles again until they turned silver.

I trained the whole day only stopping for lunch and dinner.

In the blink of an eye it was already morning.

Knock! Knock!

I quickly awoke from my slumber.

"Coming!"

I realized that I fell asleep while training again.

Crack

I opened the cellar door as my father greeted me.

"You fell a sleep training again come let's make haste to the Hundred beast tomb."

It was still the middle of the night as everyone in the village was still asleep. We walked towards the deeper parts of the city.

Minutes later we arrived at an unassuming well.

I was wondering why we stopped. So I asked.

"Why are we sto... No!"

Before could even finish my sentence I was pushed down the well by my dad.

"Aaaaaaaaaa!"

As I was falling down the well I hear my dad spoke.

"Remember to not take a break. Ow, ya thank me later."

As I look down I see that I was falling closer and closer to the water.

"FUCK!"

Then suddenly I stopped falling as the brick wall at the side of the wall opened up, sucking me in.

Before I realized it I was in solid ground. I looked around my surroundings as heard the cries of beasts from all angles. Brick walls light by candles from all directions.

Suddenly I heard a deep voice.

"So you're that bastard Atlas picked as his disciple. Nevertheless, you are still my descendant but be careful your ganna experience trail 10 times harder than normal so be careful."

"Start!"

Bang!

As the trial start, the walls around me collapsed revealing an open area surrounded ancient scribbles on the walls.

Bam! Bam! BAM!

I feel the earth shake as I see a herd of rhinos being led by red rhino twice the size of the rest charging towards me.

Fear struck me as I realize I've never been in a real fight before.

My legs grew weak a sweat began to run down my face

"Calm down! You can lift a 6 tone rock if your afraid of just some rhinos then how far do you think you can go?"

Of course, I lied on how much weight I can carry although what I told them was already above average I still couldn't reveal to them what my actual strength much.

I took a stance as they approached and shouted.

"REINFORCED!"

As a silver magic circle with an image of silver dragon took form surrounding my fingers.

This time I only changed my fingers to adamantite to lessen the mana consumption.

The ground caved in as I dashed towards the charging herd. I aimed at leaders as I arrived in front of it instantly.

"Roar!"

The red rhino took this provocation and charged harder as flames started to appear on its horns.

I tightened my knuckles and aimed at the middle of its giant horns.
