48 Run and Hide

Farsian sat up and started to sprint after the other vampire that was escaping. Every human would have long since been unable to follow the vampire. They would have to use dogs or strange tracking magic in order to find the trace of the vampire. Farsian however could do all that by himself.

The scent of the other vampire was still lingering around in the air, it was a weak creature compared to Farsian.

'Will you lead me to Michelle? Or will you lead me to your nest? Wherever you run to is wherever I will follow you.' Farsian thought to himself as he pursued his prey.

"Wow that lad was really eager to prove himself." Prince Leon said and looked around at the mess that he had caused.

"Well I guess I will leave as well." He said and walked out of the rubble.

"Waaaiit! Someone has to pay for this shit and I don't think that vampire had any money on him!" The barkeeper roared as he came to his senses, no longer stupefied or afraid.

"Uh, yeah the king will pay for it." Prince Leon said and walked away towards the castle district.

Farsian meanwhile was still chasing the vampire from before.

At his waist was now a sword that had slight decorations on it. As he had entered the city he found his previous gear to be unfitting and as such changed his gear. He now wore a white west and black pants. His boots were also black and had cost him a pretty penny.

"Curse you damn traitor!" The other vampire screamed from far away as he ran from Farsian, able to tell that he was being followed.

Farsian didn't react and instead tried to hide his own presence slightly by switching his invisibility ability on and of repeatedly. It didn't let him vanish from sight every time he activated it and instead acted more with a delay, every time he was about to vanish he reappeared. Like this he was able to mask his person without attracting to much unwanted attention by suddenly disappearing in the middle of the street.

As their hunt continued to last the other vampire avoided the main street and instead went onto a smaller one off to the side, he also didn't wish for too much attention.

When Farsian noticed that they were on a less busy street he fully activated his invisibility, vanishing from sight completely. Vampires usually relied heavily on their scent to track down any living being, but since Farsian was also one of the undead and produced little to none smell the other vampire was basically helpless. When the other vampire realized that Farsian was gone he stopped for a second before continuing to run. He didn't wish to take any unnecessary risks and instead focused on getting to his destination faster.

After a few minutes Farsian and the other vampire were at a broken down house at the edge of the city, in one of the poorer areas.

'So this is where you live.' Farsian thought as he followed the other vampire through a door.

The door was wide open, unable to close properly because of the broken down building.

"Damn what took you so long?" Farsian heard a voice behind him as he came walking through the doorstep. Cold sweat started to drip down his back as he turned around, looking at the female that had just spoken. It wasn't a human, but neither was it a vampire. It was one of the many races that populated this planet, a cat woman. She was mostly naked, only very little clothing covered her despite the cold wind. Most of her body was however covered with fur, a typical trait for cat people.

Her legs were covered in fur up untill her thighs where it stopped before continuing at the hips up to the lower belly. Almost all of the upper body was free of fur, only her arms were covered in fur and her nails were those of a cat. Sharp and pointy.

'Damn lowlife.' Farsian cursed as he realized his mistake.

"Watch out he is still here!" The other vampire yelled as he smelled Farsians fear.

The moment he said that 3 other figures came out of hiding, daggers and short swords in their hands. These 3 figures however were vampires. The moment they came out of hiding they immediately pounced at Farsians general location, swinging daggers and short swords around in an attempt to lure Farsian out of hiding.

Their attempts seemed to work as Farsian had to step out of the way of a sword and kicked a pebble away. The vampires keen senses picked up on this minute detail almost immediately and

started to attack Farsian relentlessly.

Farsian stepped back and disabled his invisibility, he just stood there in the open a small smile on his face.

"So, you managed to detect me after running to your home? Well are you proud now?" Farsian mocked. The vampires showed sour expressions as they listened to him talking. The cat woman that was also still present couldn't follow the battle at all. Although she had sharp senses and keen smell, the speed at which every interaction took place was just way beyond her capabilities.

"What does he mean by that?" She asked.

"It means that you are in trouble." Farsian answered her query.

Farsian slowly placed his hand around the hilt of the sword that hung at his waist. The other vampires saw this and were about to turn around and run, but when they looked at the cat woman they stopped themselves and steeled themselves for battle.

"You are very brave for not running away, I admire that. Although it wouldn't have changed much if you ran." Farsian said and drew the sword out of the scabbard.

With a smooth motion he advanced on the other vampires in front of him. He ignored the cat woman completely as she didn't hold any danger for him.

The other 4 vampires scattered in all directions, forcing Farsian to waste time chasing after each and every one of them.

Farsian went for the vampire that was to his right side, ignoring the other 3 of them for the moment.

The cat woman saw Farsian clearly, previously she could only hear the footsteps or try to make out his position by smell. Farsian was powerful, and had a majestic feeling to him. A feeling that the other vampires clearly didn't poses. As she watched him run after one of her comrades she felt her heart run faster. His movements were smooth and powerful as he traded blows with one of them.

As the other 3 vampires saw him ignore them they felt infuriated and turned around to fight him, practically stabbing him in the back. The cat woman meanwhile was just standing there, observing the fight. Farsian didn't back down at all as he was surrounded on all sides, instead quickly dealing with the one he had focused on initially. Many small scratches had formed on his beautiful skin due to the many cuts that went missing from the other vampires, attacks that should be lethal were avoided with ease further adding to Farsians demonstration of power. She could not take her eyes away from this fight.

"Melli, run! We can't stall him forever!" One of the still standing 3 vampires shouted in her direction, but she didn't even listen. She was unable to listen. Somehow her comrades with whom she had spent months were now more like strangers or unimportant people, the one she really cared about

was the newcomer. Farsian.

She watched as he decimated one of them after the other, unable to bring herself to run away.

"Shit she isn't listening. Is she to afraid to move?" One of the vampires said. The next moment Farsian stabbed his lung and ruptured his torso, with his overwhelming strength he almost tore him in two.

Seeing this the other two vampires took a step back.

"Heinz, go and rescue Melli. There is no point in us all dying here together. I know you loved her just like we did so make sure to love her for all of us in a far away place." The vampire closest to

Farsian said, not letting his eyes wander off of Farsian for even a moment.

"What are you saying? Didn't we promise each other to make it big and get out of this city together?" The vampire known as Heinz said.

Farsian meanwhile watched this with amusement, he knew that no one would escape him.

"Damn look at this jerk, he is even smiling right now. Listen, there is no way that we all gonna make it out alive. He is still underestimating me, if I hold him back long enough you two can escape. Now shut up and run!" The vampire closest to Farsian said as he grit his teeth and focused back on Farsian.

The vampire known as Heinz only looked at his comrade and then back at Farsian before turning around and grabbing the cat woman by the waist and running away.

"Now there is only us two left. It was my fault for bringing you here in the first place so it is only right that I pay for my sins in blood. Soon I will join my comrades in hell." He said and launched himself at Farsian. The ground under his feet gave way as he pushed himself forward, small cracks and crevices forming where he had stood just moments ago. Farsian watched in awe as the other vampire doubled his power momentarily to jump at him.

If he wasn't prepared for something like this to happen he would probably be in trouble now.

"Sleep." Farsian said as his eyes started to glow red. His sword moved up front almost simultaneously. The other vampire was moving with such speed that only afterimages of him were visible. Farsian was however still capable of easily following him with his eyes. As his eyes glowed red the other vampire lost consciousness for only a split second, this split second however was enough to cover the distance between himself and Farsian. The only problem was that there was still a sharp sword between the two. The other vampire had impaled himself with high speed against Farsians sword. When he regained consciousness he was already impaled, death was just a matter of time. As he realized this he smiled and closed his eyes in Farsians deadly embrace, joining his companions in hell.

"Im sorry Melli that I couldn't protect you." Were his last words as the light in his eyes faded.

"What a fool you are to waste your life for such a woman." Farsian said and turned around to look in the direction in which he had seen the cat woman and the vampire escape to.

He laid the corpse down on the ground and walked leisurely after them, tracing the woman's scent.

It wasn't even a full minute before he catched up to the two.

The vampire lay on the ground exhausted and bleeding. The cat woman however was standing over him, with a dagger in her hand coated in blood.

"Why Melli? Why?" The vampire known as Heinz said as he saw Farsian approach her. She didn't look afraid or strange. Instead she looked at Farsian full of longing.

"You have done good. Now go back to your house and await me there." Farsian said playfully as he played with the woman's body just to tease the vampire on the ground.

"You, what have you done to her?" The vampire said, attempting to reach for his weapon.

"Lets see, what have I done to her? Well I guess the more interesting question is what am I gonna do to her?" Farsian said and chuckled.

"AAARRRGH!! ROT IN HELL YOU SON OF A B*TCH!" Heinz the vampire said, gnashing his teeth.

"Hahaha, yes thats it fall to rage. Blind range!" Farsian said and his eyes started to glow red. As the person he was attempting to manipulate was a vampire he was unable to control them completely.

But what he could do was redirect that rage onto someone else, namely Michelle or the next higher vampire that created this vampire in front of him. Like that he could make himself a blood hound that would track down his prey relentlessly. Farsian then vanished completely, turning invisible. He went to the cat woman and told her to feed the vampire known as Heinz whom she had injured previously. Like this his blood hound would be even faster in regenerating. What happened to the woman didn't matter to him, she would most likely die, being consumed by the other vampire completely.

"Yes now all that is left for me is to wait and see." Farsian said as he watched the vampire Heinz stand up, blood still dripping from his mouth.

"Go, go and exact your vengeance." Farsian said and chuckled as he followed the other vampire still invisible.
