41 Liberation III

Farsian looked at the corpse in front of him and with a simple spartan kick he threw him off the edge. The elder corpse was falling into a soft female zombie that bounced slightly, slowing his fall slightly. Otherwise he might have died on the impact.

"No need to say thanks" Farsian shouted down and retreated back to the humans.

He didn't need to wait long for them to arrive, not only was the elder corpse furious it also had the advantage in numbers.

"You will regret messing with me!" It shouted from behind a good dozen zombies of low to mid intelligence.

Farsian on the other hand wasn't fazed at all, when he saw the zombies advance he gave the signal to start their plan. First the zombies were slaughtered by wooden spikes in pits as well as many other deadly traps along the way, many low level and even some mid level zombies died on the spot.

What happened next stunned the elder corpse momentarily leaving him unable to come up with a counter measure on the spot, the humans attacked them head on. Off course Farsian was in the lead, eliminating all the stronger opponents. But the humans followed him into battle, many fought valiantly.

"For freedom!"

"For our village!"

"For humanity!" Many such shouts were heard as they fought their way through. At a suitable moment when the horde was in chaos more humans stormed out of the surrounding houses, further adding to the chaos on the battlefield.

"Retreat! Retreat it's a trap!" The elder corpse shouted, but it was already to late. Farsian was almost upon it and behind him were at least 30 strong men who were burning for revenge.

It was the end of the battle, humans had won. Strange enough many of the zombies turned sluggish and slow once their leader was eliminated, it was as if they had lost all hope and were slowly crumbling away under the constant pressure. But they didn't flee, as they were monsters and had no such concepts. Thus Farsian and his small army were able to kill every last one of them this day. There were no dangers left to the village and many people that had previously hidden in their houses were coming out to celebrate with everyone.

Soon there were barrels of beer and many fancy flags everywhere, it was time to celebrate.

Farsian also took part in this, further taking control of the village. He was the guest of honor and many maids were serving him only, it was live how it should be.

Farsian made some small speeches here and there, no one could tell that he was a vampire. Sometimes the girls of the village came up to him to confess their love to him, but he had to decline them saying that he had a girl already. He was hoping that his achievements could help him to get closer to Angelica. Perhaps one day they would?

Soon most of the villagers were so drunk that they passed out on the spot, most of the maids were in some other room taking care of some things. Farsian was left with only one maid and the head of the village who somehow survived the chaos in his own house. Farsian also spotted a priest that seemed to be somewhat capable. Luckily though he was fast asleep and didn't notice that Farsian was actually a vampire.

Farsian stood up and turned to the maid that was behind him and told her that he wouldn't need her for this evening, after which she left to where the other maids had gone to. Farsian suspected that they were having their own little party with what was left of the alcohol and the food. He walked up to the priest and confirmed that he was sleeping, after which he turned around and leisurely walked to the head of the village who had a slight reddish face.

"How can I help you hero?" The elder man said, trying to look at the Farsian that was in the middle of the 3.

"I want your position in this village." Farsian said cool and collected. Most of the drugs that would knock a mortal out wouldn't even affect him, so it was no wonder that he was actually sober right now despite drinking more than anyone else.

"Wh- Hick* What did you say?" The elder stammered looking at Farsian in confusion.

"Do you not understand? You will all become my slaves." Farsian was still as cool as ice, his eyes slowly turning red and his fangs slowly revealing themselves in a grim smile of sweet death.

"You? Just what are you?" The elder tried to push himself up but ultimately failed, falling to the floor.

"Nngh…." The priest at the end of the table turned his head still half sleeping.

Farsian saw this and froze on the spot, if the pries woke up and started attacking him there was no way that he could do this discreetly.

"Old man be silend!" He said as he nimbly jumped over to the elder and put his hands around his mouth to silence him, much like you would do to a child that wouldn't shut up in the face of danger.

"Mhmh." The elder tried to wake the priest up, but his attempts were futile. The priest turned his head back in the other direction and was snoring once again.

"Phu, that was close." Farsian said as he took his sleve to wish his cold sweat away.

"Don't try that again or we will all regret it." Farsian said in an menacing tone to the elder, who nodded his head to state his understanding.

Farsian slowly removed his hand from the mouth of the elder, believing that he would not be so stupid as to risk his own death.

"What will you do now?" The elder said in a hushed tone, he had sobered up considerably.

"Didn't I already say that?" Farsian smiled with his fangs out, it was clearly a menacing sight to behold.

"How will you take my position? Will I die?" The elder said, half afraid and half willing to risk it. Farsian could feel that the elder was with his back to the wall and would risk waking the priest if he deemed his live in danger.

"No one will have to die today." Farsian reassured him.

"Then how?" The elder was still suspecting something wrong but had now relaxed somewhat.

"Through you." Farsian said and activated his red glowing eyes, the elder of the village was instantly unable to resist him. The alcohol in his blood played a big part in him being controlled so easily.

"Sleep now, and when you wake up you will have the glorious idea to follow my every command."

Farsian put the sleeping elder back in his place and made it so that it would look like he had passed out.

Just to be on the safe side of life Farsian also confirmed that the priest really was sleeping. However what he missed to notice was a small girl that cowered under the table with wide opened eyes, next to her was a deck of poker cards.
