17 Training
Andrew was very bored at the moment. Since Joelle had recruited them he had to take classes like some noble child. He disliked math the most after that it was propably reading and writing. At the moment he was alone in the classroom together with a teacher. All his friends were out playing and he had to stay because his test was so miserable.
Poor fellow.
The teacher was writing complicated things on the board like 100 apples fall from the tree and 37 get eaten how many apples do you have? Andrew whished he had never accepter Joelles suggestion.
Andrew felt like the teacher was a weird one he was about the same age as Joelle and wore a black robe. It was also very weird to be teached inside an inn instead of a school. But Andrew actually didn't care he vowed inside of him that if he really got the 2 silver coins each month that he would clench his teets together and go throu with this.
But he didn't have to wait so long because another person came from outside the classroom and said "Kaiser can I come in?" The other person was staying at the door waiting.
"Sure, what is it Narsus?"
"I was thinking that we should give them their coin a bit faster this month after all they can't go out stealing when they are with us."
"Sure I was thinking about a more practicall test anyways." At that Kaiser looked towards Andrew.
Andrew wished he could bury his head in sand or just run out of the room from shame. But he swore that he would do better at the practical part.
"Can I trouble you with the set up for this? I also haven't eaten in a while." Kaiser said towards Narsus.
"Sure thing, I allready have something in mind." Narsus smirked a bit and looked towards Andrew.
"I will do my best!" Andrew shouted at Narsus fully subconcious.
Afterwards Andrew was a bit embarrassed because he shouted at Narsus who was like 2 meter away from him. Anyways they were going on a field trip together with Narsus so what could go wrong right?
First they had to buy suitable clothing for their job. They went to a clothing shop at the edge of the business disctrict. Narsus had to pay for everyone because the others were broke as a beggar. Actually a beggar might be richer than them.
After that they had to buy the gear for the job so they went to a jewelry store and bought some rings and the girls even got ear rings and a necklace. They now looked like some rich noble children.
Except their way of walking of course.
Now it was time to know their target and what they had to do. Andrew learned that there were different things that could be asked of him here. The first was information gathering one of the easier ones. All he had to do was track the target and see who and what he speaks about. Second was the one he was the most fond about go somewhere and steal something. Stealing was not very dangerous for him but still more than gathering information. Next was propably one of the harder ones, going somewhere and copy a script or writing. You could say that it was still part of information gathering but you had to know reading and writing for that. Then there was infiltration where you had to go somewhere and stay inside a certain area to be part of something. You could infiltrate a school or a city and open the gates at night or something. Andrew was still more in favor of the classical stealing.
They were all set on different objektives the one that was assigned to Andrew was actually the one he had hoped for. He would steal something!
They were all working on the same case. The goal of their opperation was to get an ancient scroll that was sold a week back at the auction. Their teacher Narsus was keeping an eye on that scroll but didn't dare to take it for what ever reason.
Actually Narsus, Kaiser and Farsian were all trying to get that scroll but their attempts were all fruitless. Apparently the one that had bought it had a strong premonition that he would get attacked by vampires so he secured everything against the undead and in the end he had sold it to an eccentric who was equally on guard against the undead. Their only hope was to let the kids take the scroll back somehow.
Narsus and his 7 students were staying at the side of the road waiting for their taxi coach.
