34 You remember everything?

Choi Min Ho realizes that he is a bit late when he sees the person from the Monarch. He curses the headmaster of the academy for being stingy. If he could borrow his car, he could reach here on time. Yoo Mi Yeong informed him only a few hours ago.

"Who are you?" Nam Ji Won frowns at him. "Why are you calling me whiny puppy?"

"Nam Ji Won, you already forgot me?" His eyes become big with shock. "I am Choi Min Ho."

She scans him from the top to bottom. "You look different."

"That was my sick look to adjust into the hospital life." He smiles at her.

"Ah, right!" She steps closer to him. "Why are you here?"

"I am here because of the contract." He also leans toward her. "I am the one who gave you the fifty million dollar items."

"I feel scammed though." Nam Ji Won sighs.

"It restored your memories and healed you completely." Choi Min Ho looks offended. "I actually gave you a discount. Do you know what I had to go through to find it?"

Nam Ji Won rolls her eyes. "Let's go somewhere else to talk."

"Why can't we go to your house?" He looks at her house. "I want to see your family."

"We don't have that kind of relationship where you can meet my family." Nam Ji Won walks ahead of him. "Come now."

"That hurts, my whiny puppy!" Choi Min Ho jogs to her side. "How do you feel now?"

"I feel the same...but now, I have my memories. So, I am less likely to make stupid mistakes." She is grumpy. "I came out to take a stroll. I ended up meeting you. My luck is rather bad."

"It is bad." He agrees with her. If it wasn't bad, she wouldn't be at this state now. She wouldn't attract the Monarch's attention. Her luck is really bad.

"Why did you say that my condition is caused by myself?" She asks after a long pause. "It was someone else who made me sleep for more than five years."

Choi Min Ho doesn't answer her. "Buy me dinner."

She pulls his arm. "Why did you lie to me?"

"It was for your own good."

She sighs. She doesn't know why, but she can tell that he is lying. "Why are you lying now?"

Choi Min Ho looks at her and tries to read her mind. He realizes that she can sense lies now. It's already started then.

"I lied because I wanted to."

She doesn't think that he is lying now. So, she lets go of him. "I guess, you won't tell me more."

"You will know when the times come." He plays with her hair. "Buy me dinner. I am starving."

"Why should I?" She slaps his hand. "Don't do it."

"You let me do this when you were a ghost." He touches his heart. "Nam Ji Won, you have changed."

"You are a man. I am a woman." She points between his legs. "A man and woman shouldn't act like this. People can see me now."

"Says the woman who kissed a guy ten times." He whistles.

"That..." She lets out an exasperated sigh. "I didn't have my memories. That doesn't count."

"You just pointed at my male part." He chuckles when he sees her blushing. "Pervert!"

He is a fox. He should be sent to the wild. Why is he the one who can help her? Why wasn't it a normal person?

Choi Min Ho can clearly read her mind now. Before, he has been having difficulty because of the mind lock. Now, her mind is clear and loud. He wraps his finger around a strand of her hair. Soft.

There, he goes again. Screw it! I am too tired to protest. I should have eaten those fried chicken before I left. Lee Hyo Rin, what should I do with you? I need to find that strange man. It's weird that I didn't remember seeing him when I was a ghost. Is my head really normal? Are my memories mine? If I suddenly wake up from this nightmare, I won't be surprised.

Choi Min Ho flicks her forehead to wake her up from her trance.

"Owh!"

He lets go of her hair. "You better buy me delicious food."

"I don't have money now." She is grumpy. I should have brought the money. I owe him dinner at least...along with fifty million dollars. How many zeroes again? Ah, why did I agree? I can't earn that much money even if I multiply ten times. I don't even have a high school diploma.

'She thinks too much!' Choi Min Ho sighs. 'Now, I have a headache. I should stop listening.'

Only that, he doesn't stop.

"I will buy you dinner next time," She tells him with a straight face.

"It's alright. I will buy dinner this time."

"I don't want to increase my debt." She refuses. "I have questions. Let's go somewhere to talk."

Choi Min Ho and Nam Ji Won walk to the park. They sit on the empty swing.

"Do I really have to go to the academy?" She asks him. Choi Min Ho realizes that she is reluctant because of her family and her age.

"You have to come to the academy. You have R graded gifts." He informs her. "R graded gifts are rare and dangerous in this world. There are currently three living R graded gifted ones including you. Even if you didn't sign the contract, you have to come."

"Yoo Mi Yeong told me that my grade was A." She grimaces at him. "Did she lie to me?"

"She didn't." He looks up at the starless sky. The city's brightness hides the stars. It's lonely.

"Before you ate the leaf of ever healing plant, your grade was A. Now, you are in your best condition mentally and physically. So, your grade naturally went up. Your true grade is R."

'Though, I wish that it wasn't.' He adds in his mind.

"I don't feel good about having highest grade here." Nam Ji Won's words are more for herself. "I wish I was graded D or E here. It sucks."

"Did you always get a high score in the test?" He smiles.

"In my hometown, we were famous as smart Nam siblings."

"You don't look smart to me."

Seo Tae Il is driving to see Nam Ji Won. On his way, he spots her in the park, sitting on a swing. There is someone else sitting on the other swing.

Who is that?

He stops the car near the park. Nam Ji Won looks upset. The guy is smiling. Is he bullying her? He runs to her.

"Hey, you!" He puts his hand on his waists. "What are you doing?"

"Tae Il?" Nam Ji Won is surprised to see him. "Why are you here?"

"We meet again." Choi Min Ho waves his hand. "Don't you remember me?"

"Who are you?" He looks at him doubtfully. Then, he scans Nam Ji Won to see if anything is wrong with her. She looks fine physically, but her expression is odd. It's not the same bright face that he saw in the morning.

"Did he hurt you?"

"He didn't." Nam Ji Won looks away and sighs.

"I am Choi Min Ho."

"The one from the hospital?" Seo Tae Il finds that he looks different. More healthy? "Why are you here?"

Is he a stalker?

"We met by chance." Choi Min Ho laughs heartily. "Aren't we fated ones?"

Seo Tae Il doesn't reply. He doesn't believe in fate or coincidences.

"I will see you tomorrow." Nam Ji Won gets up from the swing.

"Why, we just met." Choi Min Ho makes a face. "I thought that you have a lot of questions for me."

"You aren't answering them anyway." Nam Ji Won loses her temper. "I don't like talking to anyone who likes to deceive me. Once bitten, twice shy. I hate manipulating people the most."

Seo Tae Il glances at Nam Ji Won. Her personality is too different. What happened to her in the last few hours? What did this guy do to her?

"I helped her recover her memories," Choi Min Ho tells him before he can inquire. "Nam Ji Won remembers everything now, but she doesn't want to thank me."

"Who are you to tell him that?" She stomps on Choi Min Ho's foot. "Go away, you fox! If I see you for one more second, I will pull out your eyes."

"That hurts..." He grabs his foot. "Nam Ji Won, you are cruel. How could you do this to me?"

Nam Ji Won grits her teeth. She is ready to use her old skills to break his front teeth. Seo Tae Il grabs her arm before she can punch Choi Min Ho.

"You remember everything?" Seo Tae Il asks, looking into her eyes. "Everything?"

She becomes quiet and uncurls her fingers. "Yes, I do."
