15 His Luck

After Mozti heard what the Jadasian inside the ticket booth had said, Mozti doesn't know what to say or to react. They couldn't enter Melicah because their names are not listed in Melicah's Citizen Statistics Department and also not registered in the list approved to go to Melicah? In all his life, Mozti hadn't heard that such an entity exists. Now he understood that instead of an Artificial Intelligence, a kicking Jadasian was inside this ticket booth. Robots can be hacked easily while this Jadasian can't be tricked by flattery. At this moment, Mozti doesn't have any idea what he'd do next. Jadasian's home planet was as secure as a prison camp. Now, how can he fulfill his promise to his Oska? He couldn't even step foot on the soils of Melicah. How unfortunate...

"If you are from a Royal Assignment, you don't need to," the Jadasian inside said. "I understand if you don't want to give your name. Are you here for someone?" This was also one of the reasons why every Jadasians acted with utmost respect towards another Jadasian. What if he is from the Royal Family or even more so to the Imperial Family? Those beings were the true scheme masters of the Galaxy. No one wanted to incur their selves with this kind of nerve-wracking situation. Death was the lowest penalty they'd get. No one could afford to offend anyone that belonged to the Royal Family and the Imperial Family.

"You can try that, brother. I think I don't need to explain how to use it," the Jadasian suggested and pointed at a holographic scale beside the booth.

Mozti looked at the holographic scale in front of him. Outside, he only gave a nod and approached the holographic scale emotionless. However, inside, he was panicking and scurrying all the possibilities he needed to do. He understood why the Jadasian inside hadn't explained on how to use it. He was being doubted of his identity! Mozti even doesn't have any idea of the name of the holographic scale that appeared in front of him, more so, on how to use it or what it is used for. Suddenly, he remembered something that there's a machine where you need to drop your blood for it to function. Without a thought, Mozti bit his index finger and dropped his blood on the holographic scale.

Liam had been assigned here in Starrysnow Space Station for a week already. He had met troublemakers a lot of times wanting to go to Melicah. However, he must first follow the protocols before judging anyone who wanted to buy a ticket. After he found out that this Jadasian was a troublemaker, he'd surely be punished handsomely. Liam looked at the emotionless face of Mozti attentively to look for the flaws of his actions. He observed every movement the young man does. He thought that the young man was only here to cause trouble but eventually he gave a slight nod when Mozti bit his index finger. The blood dropped in the Blood Purity Scale. This kind of holographic scale was a method used to measure the purity of a Jadasian. That means, the purer your blood is, the higher your status in the Empire. Pure-blooded Jadasians were all given the best benefits unlike those who had diluted bloodline.

Mozti observed how the holographic scale reacts. Within a minute, numbers began to materialize. Mozti, Nira, and Liam watched as the Blood Purity Scale started its work. A wide range of colors started to fluctuate on the holographic scale and changes every second as the drop of blood vanished. Thereafter, it stopped and a bold number of 95% could be seen at the center of the holographic scale and the color stopped at violet. Mozti knitted both of his eyebrows without any idea on what was happening. His heart was trampled by hundreds of horses and he felt that his legs started to become wobbly. What if this Jadasian knew that he's the thief going berserk in Starrysnow? Mozti didn't want to implicate Nira into trouble. Therefore, he prepared himself for a possible fight to happen.

Mozti's heart beat even faster than before when he saw that the Jadasian inside abruptly stood up from his chair and went out of the ticket booth. Mozti was now ready to fight head-on with the Jadasian.

"Greetings, my Lord!" Liam greeted Moztu full of respect and bowed towards him forty-five degrees from his waist. Mozti could now discern the full features of the Jadasian. In fact, this was the first time he saw a Jadasian close-up. He had silver eyes and a dashing features which were typical for a Jadasian. The Jadasian's five golden hair strands shine brightly under the rays of the starlight. This what made him a Jadasian. Mozti also had five golden hair strands which shone brighter than the Jadasian in front of him.

'My Lord?' Mozti whispered under his breath not knowing what drove this fellow to call him by that kind of address. "Can we board a spacecraft already?" Mozti asked void of emotions. This was the only plan he had right now to hide his true identity. He couldn't understand what was going on and he won't dare make a move to know it. What if this slight mistake would lead him to certain death?!

"Of course, my Lord." Liam led Mozti but stared at Nira and stopped her from stepping onto the space station's floor. "Sorry, my Lord, but this little girl is not allowed to accompany you. ILI's get a separate boarding pass from their masters. I'm really sorry to say that she'll be boarding another spacecraft to Melicah," Liam explained politely.

"She's with me and she'll accompany me inside the same spacecraft! If you won't, then I will accompany her cramming together with the ILI's!" Mozti exclaimed angrily and looked at the Jadasian belittling his position and to question his decisions.

Jadasians were mostly racist. They look at anyone different from them as an ant ready to be stumped at any moment. Melicah, as their home planet was regarded as the holy land for Jadasians. Alien races who wanted to live or go in there needed the backing of a Jadasian and earn that Jadasian's respect. Therefore, alien races living in Melicah only numbered a hundred billion. While those who wanted to visit Melicah were mostly from the wealthy family who doesn't have an option where to waste their money.

From the other side, alien races who had been conquered by the Empire were only worth as a slave and be named as an ILI the rest of their life. No matter what race you were back then, you are just a lowly slave today.

Liam who was behind them instantly bowed his head. "S-sorry, m-my Lord," he stammered frightened to provoke the young man's wrath. "I'll immediately prepare the transport spacecraft for you, my Lord. As for the payment, there's no need." Liam smiled awkwardly and walked fast straight the hallway. He couldn't afford to incur the wrath of a Jadasian whose bloodline was on par with the Imperial Family. This kind of Jadasians was as scary as hell!

Albeit the Jadasians frightened and respectful attitude, Mozti still couldn't understand why was this happening. Nonetheless, he just plays through the scene that was happening before him.

"Mozti-kun, what was happening?" Nira also asked him confused like her brother.

Mozti kneels down on the floor to look at Nira eye to eye. "Little Nira, if Jadasians are around us, do not call me brother, okay?" Mozti instructed Nira seriously. "I know it's hard for you to do it. But there's no possible way. If you follow my instructions, I'll by you a set of painting materials," Mozti added and flashed a smile to Nira.

Nira's eyes bloomed with excitement. "You promised me that, Mozti-kun! There's no turning back! I, Nira, will follow your instructions without a flaw!" Nira raised her hand promising to do what her brother had said. Everyone has their weaknesses and Nira's weakness were paintings. She loved to draw every day. And Mozti saw that his sister had the potential to be a well-known painter in the future.

"I love you, Mozti-kun!" Nira added and hugged her brother tightly.

Mozti who was kneeling on the floor lost his balance and they fall together on the space station's granite floor. Both of them laughed happily and the passersby couldn't help to comment on the cuteness of the brother and sister duo. Everyone found this kind of scene pleasant amidst the space station's bustling surroundings. After both of them contained their laughter, Mozti stood up and helped his sister and surveyed the space station. They saw countless crowds going to and fro in all directions. Both of them couldn't help but be amazed by the grandness of the space station's layout. Both of them became ecstatic about Melicah. If the new space station of Starrysnow was like this, what more of Melicah's structure? Beings like them who stayed in a trading hub for their whole life that was devoid of grandness truly made their excitement fuel up to the heavens about a new place to look at.

Mozti and Nira couldn't contain their excitement anymore and rushed to look at the pictures of Melicah that was flashing in the holographic screen in front of them. "Wow!" both of them uttered simultaneously.

On the other side of the space station, a middle-aged Jadasian panicked on what he was going to do. He had already forgotten the protocols he must do when faced with this kind of situation. He slapped himself and went back to the ticket booth hurriedly. "How come I stumble upon that Jadasian? Why did I accompany him going to the departure area and haven't given him a ticket?! What an idiot!" Liam uttered while walking back to the ticket booth.

On his way back, Liam saw Mozti and Nira looking at the holographic scene like neophytes on their first time to see a majestic city. He couldn't believe what he was witnessing. If only the young man doesn't have a bloodline purer than him, he'll surely go berserk of disbelief. However, he didn't mind any of this and went inside the ticket booth and pressed a series of symbols in the holographic computer. Afterward, two golden tickets materialize in the air. He immediately grabbed it and approached Mozti who was still hypnotized by the images that appeared in front of him.

Liam inhaled deeply. "My Lord, here are the tickets going to Melicah," he said still respectful even though he was now full of doubt.

When Mozti heard the respectful voice of the Jadasian behind him, he turned around and grabbed the tickets in his hands. "Oh, thank you. Nira, let's go?"

Liam was surprised by Mozti's attitude of grabbing the tickets on his hand. He wanted to add some more when the duo turned their backs on him and went to the departure area and vanished in his sight. "This..." Liam only scratches his head and went back to his boring work.

"Beings of the Royal Family were truly a bunch of weird geniuses," he muttered to himself going back.

Only Mozti and Nira were inside the spacecraft when it took off from the Starry Snow Space Station. Both of them were still perplexed on the treatment they got from the crews of the spacecraft. However, they threw those away on the back of their heads and were once again astonished by the scene outside. The spacecraft they boarded was now leaving the airspace of Starrysnow and they saw their house and the busy trading hub. Mozti felt sad leaving the place he grew up. From today onwards, his journey truly began.
