13 His Dream, His Oath and His Life Before His Luck 1

The First Prince, Deisham and the Pedagogues looked at the majestic scene unfolding before them. Each of the trainees' eyes bloomed with excitement. Mozti was more excited than anyone in the field. 'Today, I will change my destiny and grab this opportunity!' he thought full of determination. Mozti knew that bonding with a 1 Star Spirit Power was unheard of. As a matter of fact, he doesn't care about any of those. He believed that if this is his moment, no one could stop him from grabbing it. If it is not, he'll try again next time. A rare kind of luck after the death of his Oska (Grandmother) was truly at his side in these past three days. Even now, he was given a free pass to bond with a Rothar. In spite of that, he still couldn't understand why was this happening to someone like him. Who wouldn't take this kind of opportunity?!

Three days earlier...

"Thief! Thief! Thief!" shouted an old lizard-like merchant who's long snout smoked with fury. The loud shout of the merchant garnered everyone's attention. The thief ran with all his might towards the crowd to hide. This was the only chance he had to escape the maddened merchant. The street was filled with alien beings all over the Empire's domain. There were only a handful of Jadasians strolling in the street. A place like this was not worth the eyes of any Jadasian who lived in the acme of perfection. Those Jadasians who went in here were powered by curiosity to look at how the lowly beings' place looks like.

The thief sweated non-stop when he heard the siren of the Imperial Celestial Police. "Hold your ground! You are under arrest of robbery! Submit your self or suffer the wrath of your actions!" a woman's voice echoed above him. This made the Empire the most unique nation in the Bizir Galaxy because women hold the police power. In fact, it was not a coincidence that women took this responsibility. It was the Jadasians' women handicap that they couldn't survive traveling in space for more than a year even inside a cryocapsule that could help them travel space. The Empire allocated a huge sum of their wealth to find a cure in this illness. In the end, they found out that this was the unique physique of a Jadasian woman. If not for this illness, the whole Bizir Galaxy had already been in their hands a long time ago.

It must be taken note that robbery in the Empire's home system is punishable by death. Still, this thief continued to do it every day like a casual walk in the park. Also, he doesn't care about any law. What he had in his hand was more important than anything in this world. The police patrol spacecraft tailed him non-stop. Whatever he does to escape this irritating vehicle were all useless. The thief went in all the streets of Sageloch, one of the busiest trading hub of the Empire in Starrysnow, the fourth natural satellite of Planet Frevok.

'I hate those women! They're so persuasive!' he joked himself while thinking of another plan to escape from his so-called pursuers. His sly smile formed naturally when he saw the unusual light ten meters from him. Without a thought, he leaped towards it and vanished in thin air.

The police mobile stopped flying when they lost the thief in their scanner. "Where is he?" asked a beautiful Jadasian woman to her partner with her natural cute voice. Her partner only gave a dismissive smile and drove back to their station to report.

On the other side of Starrysnow, a bleak light materializes in thin air and spat out a young man in black robe covering his features. "Hay..." he sighed. "Thankfully, I prepared that escape route," the thief whispered and gazed at the desolated surroundings before changing his clothes.

"Mozti-kun (Brother Mozti)!" called out by the sweet voice of a little girl. Mozti turned his head and lifted up the little girl. "Mozti-kun, Oska (Grandma) is very sick! Little Nira doesn't know what to do! Wuhuhuhuhu!" the little girl cried out and Mozti carried her while running back to their house. Mozti slammed the door and went to the rightmost room that was filled with medicinal aroma.

"O-oska (G-grandma), I brought your medicines," Mozti said and pulled out ten red colored pills inside his pocket. "Nira, please get Oska a glass of water! Hurry!" he commanded the little girl who was just behind him teary-eyed.

The little girl looked at Mozti hesitantly and said, "We don't have any water left, Mozti-kun."

"Borrow some from the neighbors."

"The Water Bureau cuts our water source two days ago. It was to force us to leave this place," Nira said not knowing what she'd do.

Without hesitation, Mozti pulled out a bottle of clear water from his universal necklace. He looked at the very weak old woman silently and lifted her head up and put another layer of pillows. Mozti was about to put a capsule on his Oska's mouth when they heard a banging sound from the front door.

"This is the Land Bureau of Starrysnow! Open the door!" a deep voice exclaimed followed by a series of banging sound. Instantly after, the door slammed in the floor and a stout man who had large ears stood outside the house. The stout man barged in followed by his four minions and surveyed the house. This stout man was an ILI (Imperial Lower Individual) who had been given the privilege to be a Bureau Head here in Starrysnow. Obviously, this stout man most likely earned the gratitude of a Jadasian. He then saw Mozti and Nira leaning in a bed. "We heard that the old hag is dying!" the stout man raised his voice even more when he saw the status of the old woman.

Mozti didn't bother what was happening and continued to put the capsule inside his Oska's mouth. Mozti felt a gust of wind and the bottle full of water in his left hand was spilled on the floor. "I heard that the Water Bureau cuts out the water source in this neighborhood. Is that true?" the stout man said while waving his right hand.

Mozti quickly picked up the water bottle but was taken by a gust of wind towards the stout man. The stout man drank all the remaining water. "Such precious water like this must not be spoiled on a dying old hag! I'm sure you robbed this somewhere together with that medicine! Hahahaha!" the stout man laughed deviously. "After the old hag dies, leave this house immediately! There were families who're willing to pay; needs a house like this," the stout man said and left the house together with his minions.

"No one can leave this house when the owner hasn't agreed!" Mozti exclaimed and stood up from his Oska's bed. Strong chilly wind battered the house's door sealing the way out. The stout man turned his head and laughed nonchalantly and ordered his minions to attack. Four men surrounded Mozti wearing a face of arrogance. Each was ready to punch him to death. Mozti gave a smirk and summoned a lightning spell. The lightning spell slammed onto the man in front of Mozti and crawled towards the man in the right all the way to the last one. The lightning spell burned the clothes of the men but it was not enough to penetrate onto their bodies.

A heavy punch landed on Mozti's chest making him vomit blood. Another punch landed on his stomach that made him vomit some of his food that was eaten that morning. The third punch landed on his side and the last punch made him crawl to the floor. Mozti didn't back down and stood up once again. He uttered another lightning spell which was the only spell he knew at the moment.

Mozti glared at the stout man who was laughing at the scene unfolding in front of him. "You must know how to look at your self. It was nothing more than trash!" the stout man exclaimed and vanished in his position and appeared next to Mozti. The stout man landed a solid punch on his stomach. "I hate someone glaring at me!"

Mozti grabbed the silk clothing of the stout man stopping himself from landing on the floor. "I will only crawl once todag," he whispered in the stout man's left ear. "Today, whatever happens, I, Mozti will never back down on a lowly being like you!" After saying those words, Mozti landed a punch on the stout man's right ear. Afterward, the stout man dropped onto the floor with a mouthful of bubbles. Mozti had electrocuted the stout man's brain which caused his death. The four men, without a master, ran out of the house like nothing happened. Mozti glared at the stout man's dead body. "Your death is your cause, idiot!"

"M-Mozti-kun!" Nira exclaimed and came running to hug Mozti. "Mozti-kun, do not leave Little Nira. If you die, who will take care of me?!" Nira cried in Mozti's embrace.

"O-oska!" Mozti cried out and ran towards his grandmother's bed. "O-oska, you're awake!" Mozti rejoiced and hugged his Oska.

"Nira, got get some water! Hurry!" Mozti orderer Nira who immediately complied running out of the neighborhood begging for water.

Mozti's Oska grabbed his hand and looked at him apologizing for everything she couldn't give to him. "M-Mozti, sorry that I became a cripple," his Oska said ruggedly and Mozti felt the cold trembling hand of his Oska. He couldn't stop his tears to flow down his scarless face. "Take food care of Nira. I know that you love her more than anything else even though she's not your sister. You're a great child and thank you for taking care of me for all 15 years of my worthless life." Mozti's Oska trembled even more and she closed her eyes and continued with her last words, "Promise me that you will never give up whatever happens. Be the light in the darkness and never forget who you are."

Mozti looked at the dying figure of his Oska and wiped all the tears. "Oska, I promise that I'll take care of Nira. I promise that I will bury you in Melicah. In this life, I have suffered but I will fly high, higher than the heavens with Nira. Oska, farewell and I love you," Mozti said full of will to strive for his little sister, Nira. He couldn't believe that his Oska was already dead. His Oska whom he loved so much.
