6 The Assembly

Serah's face was soaked in pain and regrets. She thanked the sky when she saw clouds gathering and hiding the dotted space, and were ready to sympathize with her. She saw how rain poured down heavily from the heavens, starting from the east and crawled towards her. This was what she needed the most, something who would embrace her from the agonizing pain she was suffering.

The rain didn't stop caressing her for over an hour, and the cold water now filled her face. She wished she'd be drowned by it, however, no matter what, no one would let her. Her tears blended with the cold rainwater, flooding the lower areas of the city. Not only it flooded the city, but her mind was also swimming from the memories she had with Laquadia. From within, she felt paddling a canoe in tsunami waves, how much she wanted to get out, but she couldn't and was stacked in eternity. She knew the storm would always follow her, battering her soul and ramming her heart. The short-lived needles that stubbed her nerves and cells that wanted to forget Laquadia, were not enough. She needed nails and hammers, or even large, very very large nails and hammers to forget him, to forget them. It really was a regretful part that they had met and fell in love with each other.

Serah wanted to think that those happy memories she had with him were dreams of the past. She wanted to move on, but those years she tried until now, she could never be. She cried for the whole rainy night grieving for the misfortune she had with fate and love.

When the morning, green star greeted her, her face was written with misery and tiredness from the whole night. She arose from her bed listless and without care for what everyone would say. She didn't bother to look at the scenic window and immediately dived down to wash her emotions; for the meantime. The soup that covered her body, took all the withered flowers and brought a new incomplete life onto her. Serah finished her bath wrapped with an unconcealed battle with tragedy. Her face came back to its natural glow, and as beautiful as ever. The problem was, exhaustion couldn't be hidden from her eyes that were overloaded by it.

There was a red long gown just before her bed. It was prepared by her servants last night; before she met the chains that dragged her into her present situation. Serah was excited wearing it and would dance with it every time she saw it on her cabinet while traveling the space. Now, she looked at it disgusted remembering her thoughts regarding her disgusting imagination of making someone love it. The gown was made from the beautiful feathers of the celestial birds called Phoenix. It suited her perfectly and when men looked at her back, they would have all the wild imaginations they could imagine. There's only one man whom she wanted to share. That's why she decided to rip out the back part all the way down to the lowest part of her back. Wild and free: that's what she wanted to let everyone know. I am available! That was what her features shouted going down at the hotel she stayed in.

Serah was then surrounded by tall, well-built men who wore silver armors. They had marks of phoenixes on their right chest. These men were her escorts who protected her all the way from their home planet. They rode a flying train that was guided by an invincible cable going to their destination. A very majestic building that was entirely made up of crystal glass, greeted them with elegance. The structure camouflaged with its surroundings as if it was not there. It stood without flaw in the center of Jandeim City, Kingdom of Gloessa, the Capital Kingdom of the Empire of Jadase.

It was a 900-feet tall structure that was surrounded by refined landscapes of flowers, plants, and trees. At the very top of the building, there could be seen a brightly lit fire that acted as the second-morning star in the sky that inundated the whole city. This fire was called the Empire's Star, it had been shining for all eternity but when night came it became the ninth natural satellite in the sky. It then changed its name into the Empire's Torch. The structure that they had seen was called the Imperial House of Royal Bloods.

The Imperial House of Royal Bloods (IHRB) was where every Supreme Committees, High Supreme Committees, Highest Supreme Committees, Paramount Committees, also known as Royal Bloods (in the political side of the Empire), Princes and the Emperor gathered when there were important matters to discuss in the Empire's Political Affairs. Therefore, this structure was the most important part of the Empire's government and the symbol of the Imperial Political and Governmental System.

When everyone inside the train saw the Imperial House of Royal Bloods, their blood boiled due to the majestic air that was emitting from within. This was truly a powerful, at the same time a very beautiful structure standing proudly looking towards its domain.

"The Empire is as powerful as the boundless stars!"

No one knew who spoke those words. However, when they heard it they just nod their heads as if they were agreeing with the thought that the individual had. After they arrived in the main entrance of the Imperial House of Royal Bloods, a large statue of a faceless man that was surrounded by 7 different colored wisps greeted them with grandness. The wisps symbolized the 7 Kingdoms that made up the Empire, namely: the Kingdom of Gloessa, Kingdom of Yoahan, Kingdom of Symeth, Kingdom of Thaomos, Kingdom of Yeiwyn, Kingdom of Thilia and the Kingdom of Filader.

Serah looked at the enchanted wisps with deep thought and immediately after, they entered the spacious hall of the Imperial House of Royal Bloods. The refined designs and decorations painted on its walls welcomed them with boldness. At the very end of the hallway was a large chamber that was comprised of 3,500 chairs that looked like a honeycomb. Each of the chairs was already occupied. Everyone was there, except the First Prince, Laquadia.

Serah, together with the other Elementalists, took their step and entered one of the most influential chambers in the Bizir Galaxy. Serah fortified her pride and dignity in every step she took. She saw the magnificence of the hornet's nest. The look of every Jadasians inside the chamber was all the same. They see her as a speck of dust in a background: plain, dull, inferior, simple and unremarkable speck of dust. Even how much she would make her self presentable, she's still garbage in their eyes. Wearing clothing only garbage like her must wear. This was what a Jadasian was. A God who looked at everything as a piddling thing they could play or throw away when they were already tired of it.

"Ms. Derus, his Majesty, the Second Prince, ordered me to give this to you. He said that you must wear this, in his command." A blue-skinned elf approached her before she could even step in the platform of the chamber. This elf was an Imperial Lower Individual (ILI) or a slave for short. Serah stared at the white coat that was made from a celestial tiger's fur. Serah was on the verge refusing it when she heard someone's voice speaking to her telepathically.

"Wear it, Serah. I don't want someone to make a scene inside this chamber saying we didn't have any proper decorum towards his beloved. You're perfect, Serah, but you're in the wrong place to show it."

On the first row, Beru stared at the direction of Serah talking with her telepathically. "I don't care what your brother will think about me! I'll wear whatever I want to!"

"But I do care about what you wear! Put the coat or I'm going to put it!"

"Ugh!" Serah exclaimed in between her raged and put on the coat, Beru had ordered her to wear. She doesn't have the slightest choice but to follow. Serah hated it, on the other hand, it gave her comfort to know that there was someone who cared for her, at the least.

When she finished putting on the coat, she surveyed the chamber looking for someone. The white coat added an accent into her red gown. Serah now exuded an air of a glorious woman. How she hated the thought of finding that man. Still, she couldn't help herself in doing so. "Of course, why will you be here?!" Serah convinced herself before stepping on the platform that would bring her to the center of the chamber. Now, she only wished that this would end in a way she hopes it would be.
