261 Ch. 261 'Boar Beast'

As soon as Richard and Edward arrived at the meeting point, Izzy greeted them with a cheerful and enthusiastic smile.

"Hey, finally, you guys came. We've been waiting for you since hours ago." her sentence sounded like a complaint, but her tone and expression didn't seem like she was complaining.

"Looks like you enjoyed the time waiting here." guessed Edward making Izzy chuckle.

"You have no idea. Did you see all this?" Izzy pointed towards the surroundings, which were filled with rare plants and weeds. "I am a poison expert, and many of the plants here have high potential to become the most dangerous poison ingredients in this world."

Edward and Richard stared at each other and wondered, should they burn all the plants here?

"Don't you even think about it!" warned Izzy as if she could read the minds of the two fire elementalists.

Hokuto clapped his hands once to attract the attention of the three.

"Alright, since we've all gathered, it's time for us to complete this mission."

Izzy nodded in agreement and headed over the border into the desert.

Hokuto shook his head at the girl's attitude, who acted like a princess escorted by three bodyguards and walked after the purple knight. Not long afterward, Edward and Richard caught up and walked behind them.

They didn't feel any movement during the few minutes they walked as if there were no inhabitants in this wilderness.

"Have you ever seen what the monster looks like?" asked Richard curiously.

"Not yet. I heard that the informant who described this beast form is completely different from reality."

"That means this monster isn't as scary as we thought?" somehow, Richard breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that the monsters they were about to hunt weren't as terrible as he thought.

Hokuto didn't have the chance to answer when he heard the monster snoring sound, and reflexively their footsteps stopped.

Richard saw the monster in front of him. The monster's body shape was like a lion, but this beast could stand on two hind legs like a bear. The body color of the 'bear' was striped orange, while the base color was black. The head of the monster was like a bear but had a mouth like a wolf.

"Actually, what creature is this?" Richard unconsciously asked.

"I have no idea. This is also the first time I have met a creature like this. Is this even an animal?" Edward answered him with another question. "Izzy, can you find out what happened to those people who disappeared in the village. Is it true that this bear ate them?"

Edward and Richard looked at each other. It seems like Hokuto has decided that the monster in front of them was a bear. Yes, you could say a giant bear with abnormal ears, mouth, and tail.

The four of them just realized when they saw how devastated their ground was after getting the monster tail sweep. The soil was melting as if magma was traveling through it.

"Hokuto, didn't you say his weakness was the fire?"

Hokuto gritted his teeth, realizing that this monster also had the element of fire.

All of them who inhaled the purple smoke except Hokuto and Izzy entered the illusionary world created by the purple knight.
