52 Hall of Glory
Seeing that he had once again returned to his previous seat, Cray had confirmed that by increasing his clearance level, he would be able to unlock memories from his previous ancestors before they got killed.
However, after seeing how Walter died made him solemn as he could still clearly remember how his grandfather gloriously tried to take on the horde of monsters himself.
"Note, can you tell me anything else that I can access with my clearance level?"
However, before he was able to continue asking Note, he was once again assailed by nausea. He felt dizzy as if everything in front of him was spinning. But still, this was not as unbearable as the first time that he had felt the same feeling.
"Your clearance level is sufficient enough to access the Hall of Glory."
After a few seconds, Cray had once again retained his previous state. Rubbing his head, he then asked Note.
"What is the Hall of Glory?"
"The host has already been to the Hall of Glory. Back when there was a severe threat upon the hosts' life, it was activated despite your clearance level being insufficient."
Cray briefly remembered the events regarding the time when he thought that he had died. Unconsciously caressing his neck, he thought of how he had talked with some men who were sitting upon a round table.
"So, I guess that the Hall of Glory is the room where those men sat around the round table?"
"Affirmative, that is indeed the Hall of Glory."
Unconvinced, Cray thought that he would have surely unlocked something useful. But as what as it seems, the Hall of Glory looked really useless.
"By the way, how do I manage to go to that Hall of Glory, Note?"
Note immediately responded, "Please close your eyes and think of going back to that place."
Cray, doing as Note has said immediately laid his back upon the back of his chair and relaxed his body as he thought of heading back to the Hall of Glory.
"Note, I'm still closing my eyes, but I don't think that I'm getting anywhere with this. Am I even doing it correctly?" Cray muttered under his breath.
"Pfft-"
Loud laughter echoed as Cray opened his eyes to see where the sound was coming from.
"What the-"
"Suprised? FUHAHAHHAHAHA you looked pretty dumb back there." The man wearing glasses looked at me as if he was criticizing my every move.
In the room, the same five chairs were placed. However, amongst the chairs, one of them was on the verge of collapse. It looked as if it aged a hundred years with its rotten look.
The same three men who he had previously seen were seated alongside him. Upon looking with a closer inspection he noticed some small details that he didn't notice before.
An example of which are the colors of the chairs that they each had. The chair that he was sitting on had a bright colored red on it.
Meanwhile, the rotten chair that he knew used to belong to his father had a deep black color. The man who had glasses has a golden yellow shine upon it.
He then looked towards the man who had previously told him that he was his grandfather, he was sitting upon a blue colored chair. On the other side of the table, he saw a white colored chair who had the most luxurious decor.
"I once again greet you, the one who had succeeded my bloodline, Funf!"
After seeing the man who's currently seated on the white chair greet him, he began wondering who he was. After all, he already knew that only those who are of the same blood can inherit the power of his family so he thought that it could only be either the Great Einder himself or his great grandfather.
Seeing Cray's confused look, the man as if understanding the source of Cray's confusion began introducing himself.
"Let me apologize for my late introduction. I am the founder of the Einder blood, I am your Ein."
Cray was flustered as he finally recognized the man who had started this all. He noticed some of his distinct features like his sharp jaw and his long and pointed nose.
Meanwhile, the man who was seated on the Golden chair also introduced himself. "I am your father's grandfather, and I am your great grandfather. In short, I am Zwei."
Unknowingly, after seeing the two out of the three men in the room introduce themselves, he looked at his grandfather.
Upon receiving Cray's look, his grandfather stood up from his chair and walked towards Cray. I am Walter, and as you have already seen, I am your grandfather and am Drei."
Cray, being on the receiving end of this one-sided introduction felt so overwhelmed. He, unfortunately, didn't know what to say right now as he guessed that they would've already known him seeing the big screen last time.
Before he was able to think of what to say, his grandfather's hand reached his shoulder which made him flinch.
"Come with me." He said with his husky voice.
He then stood up and followed him. They were walking towards a door which his grandfather opened.
The very moment he had stepped in, he saw a snow-covered barren land. It was filled with blood, swords, and ruins. He vaguely remembered this place as if he had been here.
"Is this-"
Before Cray was able to finish his sentence, he was cut off by his grandfather, "Yes, this is the one that you saw earlier. This is the place that I've died."
"Where is this place?" Cray asked curiously as he had never seen a land covered by pure white snow before.
"This, this is the land of the dwarves. This place is not of the same world that you know. It is one of the outpost-colony that the empire has established long ago."
Unfortunately, before Cray had been able to continue making any reactions he had been cut off by the sudden warning that Note gave.
"Insufficient Energy, aborting Hall of Glory meeting. Connection severed."
As soon as Cray heard this, he opened his eyes and he was back at his room where he was previously seated.
He sighed as he thought about how he didn't get a chance at figuring anything out. "Note? Are you still there?"
After getting a whole minute of silence Cray lamented at the silence as he yawned and decided to head on to sleep.
