45 Squire

Cray's group then headed towards the area reclaimed by the Chen Clan on their rebellion against the empire. Upon getting there Cray had been presented with a luxurious feast.

The very night after they had arrived, most of the men from the Chen Clan could be seen getting drunk. The people around them were also showing a very festive mood as they welcomed a new age for the prosperous Chen Clan.

Inside one of the rooms from the former Lord that occupied the land, Ye Chen was busy organizing some documents while receiving reports from his subordinates.

After hearing the current losses, he had a grim expression on his face as he thought that the casualties would've been much lower. He clicked his tongue as he realized how he had underestimated the remnants of the Empire's army.

Just as he was about to organize the losses from the battle, a knock had disrupted his attention.

"Ye Chen, it's me, Anastasia."

"Come in"

After saying that, he momentarily set aside the paper works that he was working on. He then dropped his pen that was busy writing as he gazed at the opened door.

"I have something I need to talk to you about." Anastasia who had entered the room was wearing a gorgeous dress and this was further emphasized by the necklace and bracelet that she wore.

Ye Chen then made a gesture to his aides to momentarily leave the room. Seeing this Anastasia then nodded as she made herself at home by sitting down on a chair near Ye Chen's desk.

By the time the both of them had finished speaking, about twenty minutes had already passed. Anastasia had come out with a very satisfied smile. When Ye Chen's aides saw her they turned their heads as all of them were males and they had been attracted by the gorgeous lady smiling.

Outside of the castle, Cray was feeling a little bit lonely. Seeing people talking to each other closely he reminisced of the times that he had with Hannah. If his feelings could be described with a word it would probably be best described as homesickness.

He was now living in a place where he doesn't even know someone. A place where he has never been before. All of this was happening too fast for him to properly adjust and now it's taking a toll on him.

A lot of things had happened to him within a very short period of time. He had met his real father, he had been separated from his friend and previously he was almost abducted.

He sighed as he took a stroll nearby while looking at the stars. He noticed that the stars here are positioned differently than to what he was used to. It only made him lonesome.

Seeing that no matter what he did he couldn't stand the festive mood that everybody was showing so instead of being a party pooper he decided to sleep early rather than continue feeling suffocated by the current situation.

Going to the bedroom he was escorted by one of Ye Chen's subordinates. She was a girl who looked right about the same age as Cray and she introduced herself as Nana. After being guided into the room Cray thanked her as he closed the door leaving him all alone.

He then closed the lights as he dived right into the bed.

He slowly felt his consciousness slowly dissipating until he heard a voice that seems so familiar.

"Host, the clearance Level 3 had been unlocked and the system has been completely updated. Would you like to see the current program?"

Despite the fact that Cray had wanted to properly reply he disregarded it and instead completely let go of his consciousness and began sleeping.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the Western Continent, Hannah had finally wakened up and was surprised to see that she had completely recovered. Her body didn't feel heavy nor does she feel any discomfort. In fact, she felt completely better, it's like she had improved instead. Perhaps the only thing that she felt was the slight itching that she could feel from the skin that was covered by bandages.

If she could compare the how she felt before then it was like her body was so sluggish and couldn't respond as soon as she thought of what to do. Right now though, her body felt as if it was as light as a feather.

As soon as she had woke up, she heard someone walking towards her. Upon taking a closer look she finally noticed that the woman was the one who had previously been to Cray's house. She was surprised as she didn't think that she would see her all the way here.

She panicked as she thought that she might question her about Cray but as soon as she stood in front of her she noticed that the other person seem to not remember her as she was looking at her like someone would when they met a new person.

She then smiled as she introduced herself.

"Hello there, my name is Alect Louise Grenfell. The leader of the Chivalric Order of the Silver Wings, and am your superior. Your name is Hannah, right?"

"Yes, I am indeed someone who is named Hanah." Hannah was confused. She didn't know why this woman would be looking for her if not for the reason that she knew that she and Cray were connected.

"May I ask, why you're asking of me?" Hannah tried to be as polite as she can speak in a very meek manner.

Alect saw that despite the fact that Hannah was speaking in a very contained and meek manner, a strong will could be seen in her eyes as she didn't retract her gaze as she looked straight back into her eyes.

With that, Alect's interest had further increased as she thought that she had made the right choice. She then asked Hannah, "Would you like to join my squad and be my Squire?"

This question had attracted a lot of unwanted attention as most of the people around them clamoured.
