37 Leaving the Battlefield
With the sudden arrival of Robert, the whole battlefield which was leaning on the monster's side began to once again shift in favor of humanity.
The soldiers who were fighting a losing battle a few moments ago now see hope in winning this wretched battle.
"Everyone we can do this! As long as our captain is still fighting then we will too!"
Battle cries resounded as the men started to fight with their utmost best.
While this battle was ongoing, Anastasia and the others noticed the sudden turn of events. Just as they had made their preparations to attack the current defensive lines of Robert they noticed that reinforcements that came from the enemy had appeared.
This was bad, if the enemy were to contain the situation too fast then they would no longer be able to rescue Cray.
"We need to take action now! If not then this would all be just for naught." Rina who had been silent for a while started speaking with her confident voice.
Everyone did not argue with her as they all know that what she was saying was the truth. They all nodded their heads and prepared to set off.
Just as Anastasia and Ye Chen made their way out, Ye Chen had received a call from Stan.
He quickly answered and was relieved and surprised that Stan had managed to successfully rescue Cray all by himself.
After he had heard this he immediately told Stan to go towards the nearest building to meet up and regroup.
After the call, a smile couldn't be hidden from Ye Chen's face. This was simply amusing to him. He had never expected this pleasant surprise.
"Anastasia, change of plans. The wielder of the Black Ring had managed to successfully recover the Einder descendant."
Anastasia was surprised as well. After hearing the details from Ye Chen she immediately ordered to steer the ship all the way towards the skyscraper that was designated by Stan to be their meet up point.
Their current mission was to successfully rescue and bring Cray towards one safe and secure place, but seeing as he was already rescued then all they have to do now was to bring him aboard.
"Don't remove the optical cover and only open up a tiny space in the barrier!" Anastasia's command was clearly heard throughout the hall of the ship.
Afterward, everything was made exactly as how Anastasia had ordered. A group of armed men from the Chen's had disembarked and had made their way down the building in order to clean up any other monsters or humans that was still inside it.
This time without any hitches, Stan had successfully met up with the armed men from the Chen Clan. Although they had almost come close to killing each other when they first met, they had immediately recognized each other because Stan was quite familiar with the people from the Chen Clan.
They quickly carried over Cray who was still unconscious and pulled him all the way to the top floor where their ship was currently docked at.
"Good work everyone." Ye Chen had complimented them, he then looked towards Stan and noticed the small cuts and bruises that he had on him.
"Medic! Immediately treat him and the Einder descent." He had swiftly commanded seeing that Cray had also suffered extreme injuries. His left clavicle was probably broken. Though he found it weird that the injury had appeared to be shallow even if the force used to break his left clavicle was powerful enough to break a bone. Not to mention, this kind of injury would probably be the cause of being pierced be something similar to a rapier.
Although his conjectures were actually on point, he had no way to now because currently, Cray had been unconscious and Stan was still being treated for his minor injuries.
"I think we should leave immediately," Anastasia told Ye Chen who was still pondering in the corner.
"Why are you asking me that? Aren't you the captain of this ship?" Ye Chen scoffed but immediately took back his sarcasm. He had noticed that he was actually talking to THE captain.
Anastasia was quickly taken aback when she heard Ye Chen's response. She had a dumbfounded expression on her face.
"I'm sorry I was a bit occupied and hadn't noticed that I was being rude. Regarding the earlier question, if we're going to leave now can I request that we head towards the Eastern Capital?" He immediately changed the topic after apologizing to first divert Anastasia's focus and to remove the awkwardness.
It was just too bad, his diversion skills were displayed on the wrong person. Regardless Anastasia wouldn't mind it for now because it would just cause discord and awkwardness which she didn't like to have around. "It's alright to head towards the Eastern Continent, however, I would like to ask why you want to head there right now?"
"I want to immediately head towards the Einder Stronghold that's located on the Eastern Continent. There's something I'd like to check."
After stopping his words here Anastasia no longer pursued the topic and immediately made their way towards the Eastern Continent.
On the ground a distance away from them, a chaotic battle unfolded as humans fought against hideous monsters.
The Lord Class monsters who were fighting suddenly issued howls and screams as if they had all lost their minds.
After fighting those monsters for more than an hour, they had suddenly noticed a change in the way these monsters fight.
"No way-"
After the Lord Class monsters had issued their screams, all monsters that heard those screams had gone out of control as they charged with reckless abandon. They no longer cared for their lives as all they wanted to do was kill the enemy in front of them even at the cost of their own lives.
"They all entered berserk!"
Countless screams broke out from the battlefield as the once evenly balanced forces had suddenly tipped into the favor of the monsters once again.
On a ship that had just made it's way out of this battlefield, a charming smile of a girl could be seen.
"I hope they liked the surprise that I left them." Rica cheerfully said as she looked at the window to see the chaotic fight beneath them.
