19 Monster Horde

"Impossible!" Ye Chen shouted. He had just listened to Anastasia's master plan.

He couldn't believe what he had just heard. It made him lose his composure resulting in him shouting.

Ye Chen had felt his forehead sweat as he was talking. Cunning! This woman who was in front of him was just too cunning! He believed that in his whole lifetime, no matter how many plans he made all of those would just pale in comparison.

He had to admit it. Brilliant! This was the only word that would be fitting to describe this woman.

The woman had not only been active in the Central Continent but had reached her influence towards all five continents.

"So, what do you think? Will you join me?" She grinned as she enjoyed the look on Ye Chen's face. She had long taken pleasure from seeing people look at her with this kind of look. Slowly breaking their minds and making them obey her every command.

She, no longer waiting for Ye Chen's answer said, "Well, I'll take your silence as a yes then." Ye who was still silent had been awoken from his stupor.

"Wait! I agree with you but in this kind of plan, we would need manpower. My Chen Clan would be the one to provide that." Ye who had come to his senses began to negotiate with Anastasia. He knew that if he didn't do so then he would have made no major contributions. This would mean that he would have the least amount of authority and power when Anastasia's plan succeeds. That would be nothing but a loss to him, and it was something that he wouldn't accept taking.

"Hmmm, why should I let you handle that? You know the power that my company controls right? I could simple squander money to recruit more manpower, right?" She had a look of puzzlement to question Ye Chen.

Ye Chen who knew that she was testing him began to answer her, "We are going to become allies right? In order to do so, we need to be equals. How could I possibly let only you burden the costs alone?" Ye Chen had specifically highlighted the word equal as he said so.

Ye Chen wanted to imply that his Chen Clan wouldn't pale in comparison with Anastasia's Golden Bullet Company. He also wanted to establish the fact that he wouldn't back down in front of this frighteningly cunning woman, as doing so would most likely challenge his authority.

"Oh, well said Mr. Ye. Alright, I'll leave it to you then." She looked a bit impressed with how Ye Chen handled himself in his current condition, most of the time her negotiation partners would've just agreed thinking that they have the advantage without knowing that they were actually in the opposite position for the long term.

"Well then, I'll end this conversation as I would immediately begin to execute the plan. It was nice meeting you Mr. Ye." She then ended the transmission. Ye Chen's face began to slowly fade away from the orb that she was holding.

Anastasia then began to feel relieved as she made a sigh. "It's a good thing that I didn't underestimate him. But regardless he still bit onto the bait that I've thrown." With a giggle, she stood up from a luxurious looking chair.

"Oh sister, he bit onto it because you left him no choice other than to do so." A girl who looked exactly like Anastasia in her teens, said as she was looking at her with a bright smile.

Anastasia gave a light giggle, "I guess you're right, I did leave him no choice but to do so."

"Especially that last bluff that you made at the end, you got me thinking that we might actually take the burden of providing the manpower." The girl who was holding a drink walked towards Anastasia and gave the drink to her.

"Thanks" Anastasia replied as she took the drink from the girl. "Now then, the real work begins now." As she said that the girl nodded and followed her outside.

As they walked outside, a vast sea welcomed them.

A cold breeze blew past them ass they walked out from the aircraft that they were riding just a while ago. Anastasia then took out a gun.

"Rina, one Frost Bullet please." Anastasia said as she moved her left hand towards the girl. The girl nodded as her chest began to emit a bright golden light. After a second the light faded away and on the palm of the girl was a golden bullet.

The girl gave the bullet to Anastasia. The bullet was then loaded inside the gun.

In the peaceful sea where there's nothing but the sound of waves crashing against the beach, a sound of a bullet could be heard.

The sound was then followed by the waters turned frozen solid.

"Now then, shall we get back the Einder Descent?" Anastasia's voice could now be clearly heard as the entire place was enveloped by a pin drop silence, the previous loud sounds of waves were now gone.

Meanwhile inside the vehicle that Cray was riding a report had interrupted Robert from interrogating Cray.

"Sire, a large number of monsters are making their way here!" The moment Robert heard that he clicked his tongue as he vanished from Cray's room.

"Have you already contacted the front lines? How did those monsters get here?" He then shook his head as right now he needs to manage the current situation with what he has.

"How many are there? What's their type? Is there a leader class monster spotted?" He immediately issued a series of commands as he changed his previously nonchalantly aura.

"The horde has an approximate number of one hundre-What? ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND?" A soldier was taken by surprise as he saw that the monsters had far surpassed their capacity.

"About half of them are capable of flight!" Another soldier had a grim look on his face as he told Robert.

"Sire, we have just received a message from the front lines, they are currently incapable of sending any more troops as the whole Western Continent is being attacked by monsters from all directions!"

The man who had just said this had a really pale face. He had just lost all hope of ever surviving.

Robert who now had a pissed look in his face cursed his luck as the mission which was supposed to be just an easy win for him became one that became a matter of life and death for him. Not mentioning this event may also wipe out the whole Western Continent.
