10 Sorry

When Cray was asked, he was so surprised to see people who were standing guard just outside the door that he couldn't comprehend what was about to happen.

"Tch you damned thieves really have the guts to dare come here!" Stan shouted as he took his dagger that fell to the ground. He then started to dash towards the thieves as he brandished his dagger. With his quick movements, the man who was at the very front immediately had his throat cut with blood gushing out.

Cray, on the other hand, was trying hard not to piss his pants. He had just seen a man die in front of him. He saw blood...LOTS OF IT. Some of the blood even reached him as he was too close to the man that had just died. He had witnessed something that made him want to throw up so bad. He was shivering, he was very frightened by the sudden turn of events that it made his breathing difficult. He felt suffocated. He made deep breaths, with every breath hastening he continued to take a deep breath until he screamed.

At the top of his lungs, he screamed before the massacre that was occurring right in front of him. He looked at the black-clothed man in horror as he seemed to look like a killing machine.

The black-clothed man's movements looked so fluid and natural. In fact, it was actually quite beholding but even if it was, he's still killing people as if he was butchering Chickens. The black-clothed man continued to kill the remaining six men as he plowed right through them with his nimble movements. Every strike killed a person, he killed almost everyone as he left one alive. That man who was left alive wanted to move out already. He was scared he had already peed on his trousers. Every step that the black-clothed man made his hairs stand out in fright. He was too scared to walk as his knees won't stop shaking, he can't move properly. He can't even talk properly as he kept on stuttering.

"Wha-whay-You-H-Who-" The man pointed towards Stan as he tried to talk. He couldn't even construct a proper sentence the way he is right now. Stan without giving him any time to recover then questioned him while pointing the sharp tip of his dagger towards his neck gesturing to cut his throat. He then asked, "So, what do you intend on accomplishing by trying to attack here?" Stan's dagger slowly made its way around the neck of the panicking man.

"I- I am just tasked by the owner! He told us that we can have fifty percent if we are willing to rob you. Thi- This was just my first time, so I still haven't stolen anything! I'm not lying please don't kill me!" the man begged for his life but to no avail, Stan had beheaded him the moment he finished talking.

He then walked towards Cray, he offered his hand to try and help cray up. Cray still scared unknowingly crept backward from this very man. He could still remember those blood-stained hands. He did it so easily without his face showing any reaction. It was as if he was already used to those kinds of things.

Stan sighed when he saw this. He looked at Cray saying "If you don't want to die then follow me. We need to move, with all this mess around we wouldn't be able to stay here any longer." Cray didn't want to go with him but as he looked around, the gore that happened would eventually find out by others sooner or later. He then decided to cautiously follow the man as he walked towards him. But just before he was able to do so he saw a man running away from them. The man was a bit plump with a gray mustache. He looked like he was in his fifties. Stan seeing this threw his dagger at the plump man. He was disgusted at him for trying to sell them out to thieves.

At the wake of the night, two silhouettes were running in the city. Trying to avoid the patrols as they ran they hide in the shadows and dark alleys. Then they stopped in front of a wall. The man at the front quietly whispered, "Follow me closely, you might get lost." The boy following him was puzzled but he still showed agreement as he nodded. The one on the front then walked through the wall as if it wasn't even there in the first place. Then the boy tried to insert his hand as if to probe but he couldn't seem to comprehend how his hand could pass through it so instead of thinking about it he just directly walked in. When he did he found a whole new world just inside it.

A ton of tall looking buildings was standing upright. There were flashing lights everywhere. It was as if the land belonged to those nobles. This much excitement caused him to almost trip as he wasn't even looking at the ground that he was stepping on. The man who first entered then smirked at him saying "Never seen a city before, have you?" The boy nodded as he had only heard about this from his father that had already died. With Stan leading Cray all the way here, they had arrived at a place that sold food.

Stan then removed his black hood as he entered the building. "Private room for two." A lady then quickly guided them all the way towards a table as she greeted them. Cray amazed by the fact that there were actually stores that made food and they were to be made in front of him as if it was a show. The best part was that he was going to try them. After getting their food, Stan told Cray that these stores were called "Restaurants!" and that there were other various types of stores. Cray was clearly amazed because all the food that the had received at Zone 9 were given to them in periods. And they were only given as ingredients, there was never a time where it was given cooked.

Stan then asked Cray to try eating the food, he was fond of the reaction that Cray showed as he gulped down the food as fast as he could after trying a small bite. While Cray was eating Stan decided to tell Cray about what had happened right after he was almost captured by a knight.

Cray suddenly felt embarrassed as he had actually kicked his benefactor. He had even tried to escape after he was given clothes to wear and a place to sleep. He was even treated to a meal by that very man. He apologized as he could still remember how the man had cruelly killed ten people just a while ago. But he still felt puzzled as to why he was being helped by this man. He then remembered how the buildings outside looked very different. They were better than those on Zone 8 he felt the difference of classes. He was just a Rank 9 citizen and he would've never been able to enjoy the luxuries of Zone 3. He then remembered his childhood friend Hannah..... They were supposed to eat together just before he leaves. Now he didn't even get to say goodbye to her. He shed a tear thinking about her.
