23 Their First Simple Conversation

Bai Yuan woke up feeling unsatisfied and cranky, she can only let out a big sigh at her treatment. Even if she is used to sleeping on the ground, whether the ground is soft or hard, sleeping in haystalk has a different feeling.

She gazes sleepily at her reflection in the water bucket meant for horse drinking water. Her face is sluggish and her neat straight silver hair are in a complete mess. There are haystalks pointing out everywhere and the clean silver hair has turned into a dullish silver. She also smells like horse poop even though her clothes aren't dirty.

Thinking back, Bai Zhilian experiences almost the same thing but she was never this dirty or smelly. She was as clean as a diamond and has a hard as rock attitude after experiencing sleeping in the horse stable.

Bai Yuan keeps thinking about it and can't stop getting frustrated. She (BZ) spending a night in the horse stable might've been her fault at first but who told her (BZ) to be so arrogant and challenge her (BY) in a martial art contest when she (BZ) hasn't reached the core formation.

"Sounds like you have a great sleep," Ling Xia said as he appears behind her.

"What about Mr. Handsome? They must have treated you with great respect, for you to shine with brilliance." Bai Yuan side glance at him before going back to look at her reflection.

With a smirk on her lips, she turned back at Ling Xia to urge him to continue.

"Wan Yihai would like to see the both of us and tell the real situation in the Wan Clan."

Bai Yuan nodded her head feeling satisfied, not noticing Ling Xia still staring at her with anger burning in his eyes. "Why are you so dirty?"

Bai Yuan stop her actions and launch a punch towards that face hidden behind the mask. Her punch was blocked with the inside of Ling Xia's hand. That wasn't the end of everything, Ling Xia brings Bai Yuan closer to him, tightly embracing her. Things wouldn't have been worse but he just has to continue with his words, "You also smell."

Bai Yuan stepped on his toe as hard as she could, making him let her go and staggering back which Bai Yuan dive a knee kick at him in the stomach.

"Is it the maids of the Wan Clan," Ling Xia insisted as he got back up on his toes.

Bai Yuan cross her arms and give him an intense glare, "What is it to you. Why would you want to know about someone that is dirty and smelly." Bai Yuan storm out of the horse stable, heading straight to Wan Yihai's room, leaving a clueless Ling Xia alone to wonder.

[Bai Yuan. Ling Xia seems to be confused with your actions.]

"Why should he? He is equivalent to a playboy."

Bai Yuan stop walking and swing back to observe Ling Xia's behavior and appearance. Ling Xia sensing someone watching him turn his head up to meet Bai Yuan in the eyes. Bai Yuan being caught just froze there not moving and blinking makes Ling Xia beam at her.

Bai Yuan rotate around as quickly as she could and walk away sensing herself in danger. She sighs deeply and mumbles to herself, "That was dangerous! How can people stare at him all day without being tired? That face with that sort of smile is too dangerous for a person like me."
