17 The Spirit Fusion Peak

The Spirit Fusion Peak is just as its name stated, it is where people can use fusion with their guardian beast. Some people have guardian beast but not all of them can fuse with their guardian beast. The Spirit Fusion Peak in Mount Quiji is a peak that took those that have the potential to fuse and help them develop. However, it is hard to find those that have the talent to fuse with their guardian beast. Since only half of the Chuxia Continent population have a guardian beast and allowed to call themselves spirit masters while the other half can only use qi. Meaning that there is less than half that can fuse with their guardian beast.

Even more, there is a rare type of fusion that many people don't know about. That is two people that are compatible with each other to use fusion together to create something totally different but have the two people's guardian beast skills. But this type is as hard as finding a needle in a haystack.

That why when Hou Lin Zi the master of the Spirit Fusion Peak suddenly propose a new idea for the new student selection, the old headmaster jump into it without hesitation. The reason why the old headmaster agreed is due to his little speech. His speech was "People shows incredible changes when they are in a crisis and... the new student selection last test can bring a miracle."

The plan was the red string that is enchanted with spiritual power but this spiritual power can only use to detect if someone can use fusion. If only one side shine red than there is only one person that can use fusion but if both sides shine it can indicate that both people can use fusion or that they are compatible to use the rare fusion called, est unitatis.

In the beginning, there were many teachers disagreeing with this plan but as soon as the result bear fruit everyone agreed to the plan but there are still some disputes whenever a talented student is dragged into theSpirit Fusion Peak. This disputes rarely happen since there is only a 15% chance of someone being able to create a miracle during the student selection last test.

The Spirit Fusion Peak isn't always famous for being the peak with the fewest students but for being the most mysterious. The Spirit Fusion Peak use to belong with the Beast Sect but due to some circumstances concerning with Hou Lin Zi's teaching, the Spirit Fusion Peak withdraw from the Beat Sect.

The two mountains are divided into two sects which are the Warrior Sect and the Beast Sect. The Warrior Sect are martial artists who don't have guardian beasts. They don't use spiritual powers which is the surrounding energy of the world but uses qi which has to do with converting the natural energy of the world into their dantian and using it. The Beast Sect are spirit masters using guardian beasts and spiritual power. To evolve their guardian beast and grow stronger, they have to absorb spirit beast's rings. And for martial artists to be stronger they have to absorb magical beast's cores.

Since the Spirit Fusion Peak doesn't belong to any of the two sects they are located in the very back where the waterfall divides the two mountains. It is stationed in the middle of the waterfall and surrounded by water. If people have to say it's like a small island in the center of the waterfall. The peak doesn't follow the two sects rules at all and create its own rules.

No one really knows what is going on inside the peak but from time to time some students can hear screams when they are gathering spiritual plants and came near the island. Those that are curious will try to see what is really going on inside but they always return beaten up half to death. From then on fewer and fewer try to get close to the Spirit Fusion Peak island. And thus the Spirit Fusion Peak island earned the nickname The Monstruo Island.

Yet, the Spirit Fusion Peak students would still roam around their sects ground not looking for trouble but only for guidance. The funny part about this is that their teachers don't seem to really care about the Spirit Fusion Peak students. Thus some students would try to pick fights with them every time they see a Spirit Fusion Peak students.

This rarely occurs but once a year 2-5 students from both sects would have the chance to stay in the Spirit Fusion Peak for one month as an agreement with the old headmaster. The students that returned look like they just turned over a new leaf. They got stronger but at the same time weaker than they used to be.

What others don't know is that Spirit Fusion Peak has another name, Association which deals with requests given to them. This is the reason why they never have enough people to participate in class matches or any other contests. To begin with, the Spirit Fusion Peak is a peak with very few students not enough to rival the two sects or even one of the sect. In all, even if they are a small group they are the hidden backbone of Mount Quiji... and the person who started it all is Hou Lin Zi the Peak's master.

Rong Sai is leading them through the forest and into where the waterfall's source lies. What created the waterfall is a very large river with some islands in the river. From time to times Rong Sai would yell back, "Follow my steps if you don't want to activate the traps here like those crazy dogs in the sects."

"From what you said, do the traps changes or stay the same?" Bai Yuan ask.

"They do changes that's why they never got near the Spirit Fusion Peak. We as students have our own methods to pass the traps... here's a secret, there are some backdoors that leads to the Spirit Fusion Peak too," Rong Sai said grinning.

"Sister are you the only student in the Spirit Fusion Peak. But Ah' Yue believe there are more from what she sees in the main hall," Ah' Yue question as she holds her mother's hand and follows along.

Rong Sai answered, "That's right, I'm not the only student. There are about 20 or less of us in the Spirit Fusion Peak but they are on their missions."

"Why did you say "20 or less of us"?" Xiao Hou asks back.

Rong Sai stop in her track, she sighs and gives an answer, "You guys ask a lot of questions. I say that cause some of them are graduating or... never mind."

"Wh..."

"Don't ask anymore! We are already here. Well, what do you think? Pretty amazing right!" Rong Sai keeps saying.

Even if they haven't entered the island the scene before them already paralyze them except for Ling Xia who just luxury watch their expressions.

The river is half frozen solid with cracks creating, showing why the climate changes as they get closer to their destination. Even though the river is half frozen, the forest is as green as it ever can be. When Bai Yuan feet touches the ice, it wasn't freezing or even felt cold it was cool to the touch making her wonder why?

Seeing the puzzled expression on Bai Yuan's face, Ling Xia walk up to her and questioned, "Does the Princess want to know the answer?"

Bai Yuan want to know but not to the point of bowing her head to get the answer she seeks. She just shook her head at Ling Xia and follow Rong Sai as she enters the island.

"Beautiful mister, Ah' Yue give you your reward," Ah' Yue said as she handed the money to Ling Xia.

Seeing that his sister isn't explaining further, Xiao Hou give a clearer response, "The reward isn't anything bad. It's the reward mister won on the bet, that mister forgot."

The outside of the island might be smaller than the mountains but you can say that it is more impressive than the two mountains combined. It was like its own world rather than it being a small island.

"It's unique, right? Starting today this will be your new home," Rong Sai said feeling proud of their expression but not Ling Xia who doesn't even look surprised.

Rong Sai wonder why this boy wasn't surprised or anything at all. The emotion in his eyes indicates that he... Rong Sai shake her head from the tremble thoughts she has while guiding them to where the headmaster of the Spirit Fusion Peak is.
