7 The Profi

Shen Qing steps out feeling nervous. She eyed crowd, seeing that they seem to be enchanted with Bai Mingyu's performance but she can't give up for her mother. Sitting down on the chair with her maid fixing her dress the way 'the girl' want. The maid gives an o.k. sign for 'the girl' after going backstage.

Shen Qing slowly took one deep breath and start playing. She thought it'll be very quiet due to her nervousness and her hand shaking but the sound produces from the leiqin; was a clear powerful melody. She remembers back to want the girl said "follow me", 'so this is what she meant.' Shen Qing follows the melody sounding in her and everyone's ear with a tranquil atmosphere. The sound was strong and full of willingness not like Bai Mingyu that'll calm you down. The sound stirs your insides up, mixing hot and cold together, creating a clashing effect but it never goes out of control. It stays in harmony with the breeze passing through your inside and out but never being able to forget.

Everyone wasn't daring to gulp down their saliva; to disrupt this tune that they, and only they can see today. With night there will always be wind and this wind only make the girl on stage seem to fade away with her clothes flattering along with the breeze. They wanted to grab hold of her but too afraid to break her apart. They can only look at her admiring every little second that come to pass.

Ling Xia was feeling the same effect within him, but not with the girl on stage whether the girl in a maid dress sitting in the back. She seems to be strong but weak at the same time with a barrier protecting her from everything else but her music.

He felt something was wrong so using mystic eyes, he saw a girl dress in maid's clothing on the back of the stage with the same instrument and the sound clearly came from her. Glancing at the girl on the stage, he can see why no one notice, her appearance can cloud everyone's eyes and with the sound coming from the maid girl, it resonates within people's heart.

Hu Wan was in a dize like everyone, he felt like he's met his soulmate. Even though she wasn't as beautiful as the girl in pink, she has a gentle aura that is full of elegance and this scene will always be in his mind.

When Shen Qing finish her performance, no one needs to say another word about who the winner is. They can clearly see that the girl with the leiqin is the winner. Everyone was cheering and wanting an encore but she just bows and walks back.

'How was my performance, System?' Bai Yuan was feeling smug at all the cheering which she never knew before.

[Execellent! For it has this lao zi!] the system too was getting cocky and boosting.

'...' Bai Yuan didn't talk to the system anymore. She felt like conversing with it lower her standards bit by bit.

Back on stage, the two contestants were standing side by side waiting for the result. Bai Mingyu was very confident in her music and believe that she is the best even if she never point it out. She might be confident but Shen Qing was nervous enough that she can't stop trembling from time to time.

"Wow! Wow! Just Wow! That blows the mind out of me. I think everyone already has a winner in mind. So..." Hu Wan pointed at Bai Mingyu and cheering came around. He nodded his head understanding the crowd, then he moves his hand to Shen Qing.

Shen Qing was so frightened that she close her eyes prying when Hu Wan called her name. Being sensitive to people since young, she thought she heard laughter but when she opened her eyes, she saw something she hasn't in her whole life. The crowd was cheering, roaring with luster at her. They were calling her name, praising her, overwhelming her to the point where she felt tears in her eyes. But the tears weren't of sadness but full of happiness and full of recognition from people.

After Emperor Lan Qin handed out the rewards for the winner and runner-ups. He called Shen Qing for a dinner. From the way she acts in front of him, she doesn't seem like the girl on stage that can capture everyone's attention but the appearance is the same no matter what.

After Shen Qing left the room Emperor Lan Qin called out, "What do you think, Lan Wuyou."

"From this son's perspective, she seems to have someone helping her. But the person chooses to help her instead of others, that person might have a goal."

"Hahaha! No, it's due to the girl's nature and beauty. My son still has lot's to learn," the emperor said without explaining further.

Shen Qing walk into her room, only to see 30% of the rewards gone. Most of them are medicinal plants that she doesn't need. The Fruit of Fruitlessness and the girl was nowhere to be found, there was only a letter in place of the Fruit of Fruitlessness.

The letter read:

"Since I've got what I want, I don't need to stay.

Good luck with that Hu Wan guy.

Bye. (^_^)"

"'She comes and she goes, taking what she wants and leaving behind others heart.' This sounds just like her. Even if I don't know your name, I hope we'll meet again," Shen Qing said feeling nostalgia even though they just met but the girl has changed her life.

In the forest of Gorang City, no one knows that a girl has wandered into the deepest part of the forest. The place where beasts wander evening and night, only cultivator would be daring enough to step foot in. The Gorang Forest is a whether small outskirt part of the Heaven Star Forest. Heaven Star Forest is one of the Spirit Forests where spirit beasts and other beasts roam in daylight and where Spirit Masters find spirit rings.

The girl arrives into a cave deep within the forest of Gorang City, she didn't dear to go further into the forest. The cave was a cave she found before she was reincarnated. It was a cave filled with qi all around and even the surrounding was covered with a small mist made out of qi.

Bai Yuan doesn't know why she's the only one who can enter the cave. Before she tries bringing Lan Wuyou but when they enter the mist he was nowhere to be found. Only after she exist can she find him standing outside the mist having an annoyed look that said, 'you're wasting my time'.

'Ah. Huh. Ah. I should just forget all about the past and start a new." Bai Yuan thought to herself as she enters the cave with a sigh but she was still going to get her revenge. The entrance looks very small, that only one creature can enter. It has long green vines blocking the entrance and embraces you as you enter the cave. It's almost like it's tasting of your allow entrance. This was the only reason Bai Yuan doesn't like the cave, cause of the vines crazy mind. But the inside is very to her liking, it's spacious, unlike the entrance. It's clean and has a nice smell that calm people down, in all, it's almost like a home.

Starting a fire with the woods and sticks gathered in the cave, Bai Yuan took of her human face mask and drop it onto the fire. She wasn't planning to be so wasteful but she can't use that mask anymore, almost all the people of Garong City has seen that face when she gets on stage to clear the third round. What she didn't think was that Bai Mingyu would be so impressive that she got to the final, it's almost like she bribe the other contestants to mess up Bai Meili and judges so she'll get to the final. She's always been smart but quiet with malice hidden in her eyes, but for her to even go against her sister from the same mother, she must've been desperate to win.

Sorting out the medicinal plants she got into groups, she picks up the crimson blood fruit from its case. The Fruit of Fruitlessness look like a pear fruit... more like it's a pear fruit! She was struck dumped, she spent her day trying to get a pear that color just change to red. Bai Yuan was so outraged at the pear, she glared at it. Then with a gosh sound, she bit down hard on the fruit to calm down her angry but the taste wasn't the usual sweetness that pear usually gives out. It tasted irony mixed with a sweetness that is bland to the touch and each bit makes her crave for more. Until she finishes the whole fruit, Bai Yuan felt like something was wrong with her taste and the fruit. She took a look at her hand and it was covered in a bright crimson color. The color was as bright as fresh blood and it even felt warm to the touch. She can slowly see that the fluid was absorbed into her skin and making a design on her hand. But as the design was slowly drawn out, it disappears bit by bit until it was gone from her right hand.

After the design disappears, Bai Yuan felt a burst of pain from her chest spreading throughout her body. It was the same pain she felt on her death or even more.
