34 The Master is Mine

The island where Franchesca used to be hidden, suddenly became a ghost town. And yet, nobody left. No one is allowed to.

All of them are under house arrest, anyone can be called for questioning anytime. The island is so gloomy it is as if a storm surge may hail anytime. This reflects Karl's mood.

He made this realm, he allowed other magical creatures to live here so that Franchesca wouldn't feel so different from what she reads or watch on TV. So that she may not suspect she isn't normal.

Everyone is to obey by his rules when inside the island. No magic should be visibly used, tenants should live a life of a commoner. He controls the in and out, each portal that will appear should register each person who comes and leaves.

Did he trust too much? He should have suspected the many appearances of portals lately, however most of them are made by faeries.

But he and Marco are in this realm. Yet, whoever is behind all these challenges their powers.

The Order has uncovered their little rebellious plot, but they believe it isn't only the work of some minor unhappy groups within them.

For one, the goblins have been slaves to another wizard family, and had been producing and guarding gold since time immemorial.

The elves are forbidden to mingle with commoners, and some have tragic love affairs, like Mrs. Carters. Her family did not die of an accident. They have been tortured to die before her eyes. Only her and the higher ups know about it. If she talk, she'll be tortured without dying for who knows how long.

But the faeries? What could the faeries be unhappy about that they are to revolt against him? They aren't subject to slavery, they even live glamorous lives outside. Could it be his line of mistresses? Kristine and Emerald's family?

Karl's eyes dimmed when this thought crossed his mind. It seems very timely that their mother died two nights before the full moon. If he had not met Kristine, he would have been in the island. If he hadn't taken her there, Marco would be able to call him right away and he might have followed the man who took his sister away.

But no one knows of his sanctuary. No one knows it exists. So how can they plan to lure him away from Rick? Does Kristine have tricks to distract him? Only that he offered a better alternative?

No! She is innocent! She isn't part of this.

Her mother is at the brink of death and asked to see her eldest. Kristine only complied. He was the one who lured her in. He took her away.

He will guard Rick's spirit until she can be found and married to Marco. The Order is already combing the earth for her. And when it's all done, he will come home to his beloved. His dark eyes lit up with the thought.

Then he worried. Is she alright there alone? No one could harm her, even find her there. But she may be bored without him. The sanctuary doesn't have access to the outside.

No TV, no mobile, no internet. And to her, no magic. Only himself can utilize magic inside. And his wife too, when they get married. As she will share his powers.

I hope she love some books. He tried to think of what she may be doing right now. Faeries naturally love nature, but the garden and forest had been impeccably made by him. Nevermind, if she wanted to change some out of boredom it will be okay.

He was beginning to plan a proposal in his mind when there was a faint knock on the main door.

Remembering Nanny is still on lock down, he made his way down the stairs. Whoever could be knocking? All the residents of the island are afraid to even step a foot out of their houses. No one has made another portal into the island. Therefore whoever the person behind the door is somebody from here.

Or is Rick back?

Thinking it could be his sister, he swiftly opened the door.

His eyes became slits as he look on the creature before him. His body emitted an aura colder than the wind outside. The thoughts he chased away earlier came back to him and he snapped at her immediately.

"What do you want?!"

She feared upon seeing his face and trembled when she heared his voice. Her knees fell on the floor as she calls him "Master--"

Her breathing became uneven and she tried her hardest to remain steady. She loves him, so much. She didn't know when it happened, when she had started to love him, to wait for his calling, to be under him again. Even when he doesn't love her, just f*cking her. It was enough that he desired her.

That she can't bear that she was set aside so their plan could succeed! She was tricked! Indeed it was true their mother is dying. But Kristine took him away! Can she not be the one to do it?!

'The master is mine!!!' Her mind screamed and her body calmed down a bit.

"Master, I have a confession to make."
