31 You bewitch me
Cedric lead her to the balcony over looking the sea. As it is night time, she can't see anything else outside except the water and hear its rushing waves.
The moon is still round and large at view, but not as full as the previous night.
"Hey--" Franchesca looked at him as he called her.
"Hmmn?"
"I know you have questions. You can just ask away." He smiled at her warmly, but his eyes are worried looking at her. Just how much information can she take?
"Mmmn. Indeed I have. It's quite a long list too." She look at the horizon. "For a start, can you tell me something about you? And just how much of my dreams are real?"
"Well, I'm sort of the latest part on this cobweb story that we are part of. If I start with me, we'll have a lot of back story later on." He smiled wryly.
"Do you believe in magic, Rick?"
She frowned at the nickname. Then, "I really have an issue with that nickname. My brother called me that so he can pretend I'm a boy."
"But you're nickname is in my name and I like it." His face closed in inches away from her face. His breath fanning her face, and her young heart swayed.
But curiousity wins. "Well, if you put it like that, then." She shrugged. Then she came to answer his question.
"Magic? If you see pixies, goblin, and the person in your dreams come to life, and still not believe in magic then what does it make me? Human? But if I believe it does it make me mental?" She pondered with her thoughts loudly.
"I saw myself being carried by the wind from my villa to you. We entered a doorway that appeared in the middle of the sea, and when I woke up I'm living my dreams. If it isn't magic then I still must be sleeping." She sighed. If the later is the case, can somebody please not wake her up.
If this is unreal and she wakes up being forced to marry her best friend someday, that may not be so bad. However, she won't experience falling in love for real anymore. The kind that she read in books.
"Then, if I tell you, you are a witch would you believe me?" He observe her reaction as he say this. She chuckled and her eyes glitter like stars in the night sky.
"Then the next phrase would be that I bewitched you?" She said teasingly.
Cedric laughed. Even that maybe the case, he still was being serious when he asked that alright.
"Heh, what do you mean?"
"I mean that you, Mister, has a lame pickup line." She can't stop laughing.
"Oh?" Suddenly his lips fell on hers. It was soft and warm, her heart jumped as his hand held the back of her head. Her hands awkwardly still on the teacup.
Hmmn, they kiss like this as well in her dreams too.
Much later, the kiss broke, the tea gone cold.
Rick blushed as she tried to remember what they were talking about before. He smiled tenderly at her as he pulled her up. Cedric took her to his study room, when he stopped, it was the shelf behind his desk.
"These are the personal diaries of the Head Mistresses in my family. From the very first one. You are free to read them later on if you like."
"Diaries?"
"Yeah. You see, my family, yours and even that guy Marco, are family of wizards with different clans."
"Wizards? My family?"
"Uh-huh. Yours are wizards of faeries. Morteza's are wolves."
"And yours?"
He turn his head to her and looked at her face closely, before he said,
"Vampyres, my dear."
