19 Franchesca and Marco The night before

The night before the full moon Rick's spirit found peace. She decided that whatever will be, will be.

As the old song has said, 'Que será, será'

A little smile formed in her lips. A sudden inspiration hit her as she sit inside the music room of the manor. Touching the black and ivory keys of the grand piano, a soft melody started to fill the air.

She has played music instruments since she was small. Guitar is her favorite since she can bring it anytime with her, piano her second.

Feeling with her heart, the music speaks of hope and love. She is not in any way near a pro level when it comes to music. With painting as her first love, she has mostly spent her solo moments inside the art room. So she can only describe her playing piano as not so bad.

The nanny in the kitchen heard the music and smiled to herself. Maybe that little child has finally accepted the young man of the wolf clan. She has never played a single happy note since she learned the piano and now the house is enveloped with such gentle notes.

Rick has let go of all her worries for tomorrow. If he doesn't show himself, then she might really be going mental. Who in this world actually believe in dreams? Of what they might say? Maybe the authors of countless books about dreams do, but even then, when they try to put it in words, only they can convince the readers not, they also sound like trying hard to convince themselves.

So to herself who is determined to show up above the cliff tomorrow night, how twisted her mind must be.

If he does, well, that would be the joy of her. She anticipate the magic that will surround them.

And so this little miss kept moving her fingers along the keys passionately.

While tranquility seems to have found a place in Rick's heart, chaos had surrounded Marco, alone in his mansion.

This time, the glory of the house is shrouded with darkness that it seems hunted. And three basements below Marco lays on the ice cold floor.

His body is anticipating the full moon and is currently in a feverish state thrice what a commoner experience in their worst feverish moment.

The beast inside him is awakening, ready to jolt out of his body. His mouth has devoured half the raw steaks his family prepared for his first change. The other half is for tomorrow night, when the wolf is finally unleashed.

Pain. He feels so much of it.

On the first night of a change, a wizard wolf has to be left alone. It is expected for him to be uncontrollable. And to bring destruction to anyone around him. Without anybody's presence the wolf would be in pain, but will not hurt anybody. As the change will unable him to recognize if a presence is a friend, a foe or even a beloved.

Only the hunger to devour exists.

His eyes blazing. His skin burning. And yet it is only the night before.

It is not the same for the other shifters. As he is in line to the throne of The Order, the only heir in his family, he is the lone wolf wizard to turn in his time. The only one that needs to wait for this particular year to be able to turn. The other shifters? They start to turn young, but aside from their ability to transform, fast healing capacity and incredible strength, they do not possess an ability to weave magic.

But he and his elders are the strongest of them all. It can be said that the Montefalcos can challenge them, but that family has a soft heart and indeed will not raise hell just to be at war with them.

And soon, their family will become one. At this thought the beast inside roared much fiercer and seem to want the full moon to hurry its arrival.

The only thing that keeps him barely sane tonight? Is the thought of Franchesca. Of having her. All of her. Body, heart, soul and power.
