16 The Full Moon
Marco's cellphone rang once and he immediately picked it up.
"Yep?"
"I'm bored" Rick sighed.
Over the past 3 weeks she barely held on with all the thoughts in her head running but unable to do anything than what is deemed normal for her.
Marco sighed on the other line as well. Two nights more. It will be full moon. And as he is already 16 he has to be prepared to someday take over his rightful place at The Order.
Why the bothered expression? He isn't ready to let go of the happy days in this realm. The higher ups of The Order has yet to decide whether they should let the girl on the other line live the way she is used to, or tell her the truth about herself.
Well basically because it all depends on Rick, if she is willing to be bethroted to him or not. If she is willing, she might be allowed to assume her full identity. If she is not, then she will be imprisoned to him. And that he doesn't like.
He cast his thoughts away and replied.
"What does my princess want?"
"Ah princess?" Rick caught on that endearment. Its the first time Mar called him that.
"Yeah, I can't offer any apple pie. Mom has been away for awhile. Something's up with the business they are all there" he explained.
"Oh. It's serious?" She frowned. That's new. Morteza's Empire has been around for centuries hence it has a very solid foundation. To hear it required the attention of the elders is worrying.
"Nah its alright. They are just making sure we have enough dowry for you" he laughed a little. He is testing her feelings.
"Oh c'mon Mar! If you carry on like this im so hanging up!" Rick laughed a little. But her tone indicating that she isn't bluffing.
Marco knows it too. And his frown deepened but he won't let her know of it.
"Drive over. I'll just wrap up some things here" she doesn't need to know how the upcoming full moon affects him, well not yet. But whether Franchesca want to marry him or not, she will never have a choice.
He looks at his reflection on the glass wall in the estate's study. Its still fairly early in the day. But his glowing yellow eyes is glaring back at him, brighter than the sun outside.

Meanwhile at the Montefalco Mansion, Rick really is bored and confused. Two nights. There wasn't a single sign. She is almost tempted to paint her thoughts. What will happen on the night of the full moon?
She got up from her bed and after checking herself she grab the keys of her mini and went down. Seeing Karl is not around she went to Nanny and inform her she'll be at Marco's.
She didn't even notice her Nanny's sad and thoughtful look at her as she went out of the house.

Nanny's real name is Imee. She is a fairy that was once a mistress to Karl and Franchesca's father. When Andrew Montefalco chose Karlene to be his wife, Imee decided to serve his household.
She was just a simple girl. Back then she knew she will never be the Lady of the house but she love Andrew nonetheless. She felt fortunate enough to be able to serve his pleasure. He was caring and gentle and truly wanted to fall in love with the woman he will choose in the end. And that was Karlene.
Imee never held on any bad feelings for him, only love. She treats his children as her own. And she love Rick the most. Almost as if she is the biological mother. Karlene though not close to her because of her being a previous mistress, doesn't hate her either. Imee doesn't know if Karlene ever wonder about her love for the Master, but trust her about the kids nonetheless.
Of course Imee knows about the truth in Rick's identity. And she knows the plan The Order wanted for her as well. As much as she is hurting for the girl, there is nothing she could do.
She is only the nanny after all. She cannot voice her opinion and also thinks Marco is not so bad. But she worries of Rick's own feelings, especially the child has been dreaming obviously of strange things lately.
Whether she will choose to protect the father or the child she cannot decide yet. But given a chance of a happy ending for both, she will not think twice sacrificing her all.
