68 Trial by Kaos

The sky panned down, to the grainy sand of the Zokyo desert. In the distance, was the old Alien Ministry base, in complete shambles from several moths before. Appearing near some cacti was Bit, completely alone. He glances around, noticing the others were no where to be seen, this caused his tail to droop. "No co-op?... Guess I have to do this stage solo. Wonder what the objective is this time."

He tried to open his virtual map, however is was completely bugged out. This made him tilt his head, before looking to the distance.

"Glitching out at a time like this?... Hopefully this buffers, I'm going in blind here." He muttered, walking into the stormy desert, without direction.

From the distance, a swarm of hand sized mechanical bug-like machines, with four sharp pincers, and legs came his way in a rush. You could hear the vibrations in the sounds of their wings as they flapped. Bit's attention turned to it.

"What's that?" He asked, forming a virtual screen, it pulled up an image of the robot, with details to the side of the picture.

"Quadsect, the fist-sized insect robot. This Kaos unit usually attacks in swarms. Only physical strikes will harm this machine, do not attempt to engage with Dama." Spoke a synthesized voice.

Bit placed away the screen. "Quadsect huh? Alright, let's do this." He pulls to his sword.

As the Quadsect drew closer, he swings his saber, destroying some of them. A few were now splitting off into the air, as many more begin to fly in at him quickly. Bit rolls out of the way of them fast. He then spots many more swarms making their way to his location.

"Oh crit..." Bit groaned, letting his sword be held to the side.

He turned around fast, dashing off with trails of data. Bit managed to find a natural formation in the sand, taking shelter as the swarm of Quadsect flew off with a loud buzzing sound.

He sighed with relief. "Talk about tempting fate... farming up exp with those things is impossible..."

A pebble is flung, hitting Bit on the back of his head. "Check it out, Sosa is in town."

Bit was holding his head now, with a cartoony bump forming. "Oww...." He muttered, turning around, to glance upward. There he noticed Vehrik, sitting beside Dylan.

"Dude, isn't Sosa a chick though?" Dylan scratched his head, looking to Vehrik. "All these human mythology stuff really doesn't make any sense."

Vehrik shrugs. "I was never one for fairy tales..." He says, picking his nose.

"Oh lookie! The horned thing IS LOOKING AT US! YAY!" Dylan chuckled, playfully.

"...Horned thing...?" Bit grumbled under his breath. "Talk about forgetful... Typical NPC..." He seemed annoyed.

"Wait, I just noticed, it can talk..." Vehrik says, eating a booger. "Here I thought Sosa would just use something to talk through."

"Like with farts? That would be so cool." Dylan giggled.

"Dude, farts. Freaking arm pit communication." Vehrik adds, laughing.

"Sweeeeeeet!" Dylan snickered.

Bit was staring boredly up to them. "Talk about low level maturity. Is this game rated E for idiot?"

"Mew?" Dylan gawked, slightly.

"Hey Sosa, idiot starts with 'I' not 'E'. You need to get edjimicated." Vehrik says, as he digs in his ear.

Bit still seemed rather irritated. "... I think you mean 'Educated'."

"What was that?" Vehrik's eyes loomed over, boredly.

"I think he just corrected you, Vehrik." Dylan made Skratch speak for him, in a silly voice.

Foot steps approach from behind Bit. "Well, Well, Well. If it isn't the little Kaos runaway, in my neck of the woods no less." Spoke a female voice.

Bit turned fast, drawing his sword. "An ambush?..."

There stood Cynder, looking to him. "Dally! Vehrik! What are you two doing up there?" Cynder called.

"Snack break! Tee Hee!" Dylan grinned, jumping down behind Bit.

Bit's eyes panned back to Dylan.

Vehrik jumps down, landing to his feet. He takes a deep breath, and looks to Cynder. "I didn't know using the bathroom would take you that long. Must have been a big dump. Oh, and just messing around with Sosa..."

"You need a filter... Anyways. This little shrimp is the target we're after, not some devil from Stykx." Cynder formed her power gantlet's claws.

"Mmm, shrimp." Dylan rubbed his belly.

Vehrik eats some ear wax. "Since when do you care about filtering me? Whatever, let's take out Sosa." He says, getting into his fighting posture.

Dylan got his power glove ready as well. "OOoooohh, Talking back. Naughty!" Dylan teased.

Bit immediately rushed Cynder, slashing her way. However, she countered Bit's strike, slamming him back into the male ferlines. Vehrik jumps at Bit, kicking him into the air, he then jumps up, and punches Bit down into the sand, hard. Dylan rushes, and forms his whip. He swings it, catching Bit by his foot, flipping him into a nearby rock formation. Bit flies through it, as the rubble tumbles around to the sand.

Vehrik grins slightly, "Dylan, you get stronger? Or am I just smelling a lot of sweat?"

"I pooted, that's prolly it." Dylan grinned, holding his hand to his mouth, mischievously.

"Oh boys!~ Can we please pay attention here? We gotta job to do, ya'know." Cynder sing-songed, before her tone turned serious.

Dylan smiled, rushing to her side. "My lady, she calls me!"

"Urgh, whatever Cynder... You take the fun out of everything...You're starting to sound too much like Myde." Vehrik states, walking over to Cynder.

Cynder turned around, leering to Vehrik. "Did you just compare me to the pathetic traitor?" She drew closer, grabbing Vehrik's face, swishing in his cheeks, roughly. "I am nothing like that virus ridden tramp. She's the stupid one to come out here, only to let her fiance get killed, then she decides she wants to be friends with the monkeys. Cats with Hydrolsies shouldn't leave Crydon, it's like asking to die. Don't ever compare me to that woman, or I'll turn you into a torch." Her tone was rather unnerving. "Then you can tell us what it's like to melt-" She was mid turning around, but froze up seeing Cravic hovering behind her. Bit wasn't too far behind him. "..."

"Mind repeating that." Cravic sneered, he was flowing with Dark dama.

Cynder scoffed, slightly unnerved. "What are you, deaf and blind? Oh look, seems the heat prone kitty is no where to be seen. Let me guess, she went and melted, like an ice-" She was caught off, as Cravic grabbed her throat. She was gagging at this point.

"Cyndy! Hey, let go of my lady!" Dylan demanded, rushing at Cravic, but was kicked back hard.

Cravic's eye was panned to Cynder, watching her gag. "You think you're funny, don't you? Is death that amusing to you!?" He was huffing, angrily.

"So, she's dead? Took long enough." Cynder's ears went back, but she seemed amused.

"Let's see if that cat boy of yours thinks it funny, to watch the one he cares about die in his arms." Cravic growled.

"Wha-" Cynder was caught off guard, as Cravic stabbed a dark dama needle into her throat. It was about the size of a pencil, as her eyes stared to it. Cravic pulled it out, without a shred of remorse on his face. Blood began to spray from her neck, forcing her to grip it. Cynder fell to her side,as she gripped her throat, gagging up blood.

Dylan looked frantic, scrambling to Cynder. He clung to her, as she was bleeding out at a rapid pace. He was even being covered with her blood in the process, as his eyes leered to Cravic. "Why did you do that!? She didn't do anything to you! Oh Cynder..." Dylan began to whimper, holding his face to hers. She was barely still there, gurgling up blood, before her body ceased movement. Her eyes were left open, as she died. "... Why?....." He held to her motionless body.

Cravic turned from the cats with a scoff, walking passed Bit. "We're leaving. Come on."

Bit's tail perked up, "We're going to miss the rest of the cut scene, Where are we going? Cravic?" Bit trailed after Cravic.

Dylan didn't move, just holding to Cynder as she began to light up with flames. Vehrik quickly rushes over, grabbing Dylan, as he was trying to pry the other Ferline away from Cynder. "Hey, are you stupid? You do remember since she was fire... She's going to take you with her!"

"I don't care! She's my lady! I can't leave her!" Dylan cried.

Vehrik forcefully pulls Dylan back with him, right as Cynder explodes into flames. Vehrik turns to the tower of fire, as ashes escape into the sky."...Well, can't say it's been a pleasure... How are you doing, Dylan?"

Dylan gritted his teeth, getting to his feet. His tearing eyes focus to Vehrik, as he punches the other ferline hard in the face "..."

Vehrik was shocked, turning back back to Dylan. He holds his face, gawking. "Ouch man, what gives? I just saved your butt."

Dylan's ears shot back. "This is all YOUR FAULT!! If you hadn't brought up Myde in the first place, this WOULDN'T have happened!"

"Oh, that it? Jeez listen, she was annoying, telling us what to do, and running us around like puppets. I get you had feelings for her, but it was only a matter of time, before we ended up like all the other idiots, who fell for her charms. She wouldn't even join us for fart sessions. Bottom line, she was a manipulative bitch. Sorry, I gotta break it down that way, but that Necroden, he did us a favor. DID YOU A FAVOR." Vehrik says, placing a hand in his pocket.

"I want you out of my sight. You and me, we can't be friends anymore. Not after you talk trash on my lady... my poor Cynder..." Dylan turned from Vehrik, looking to the flames as he sniffled.

"Funny you mention trash, I don't get what's so wrong about talking about what she really was. I mean, she did burn like the stuff. But whatever..." Vehrik says, turning from Dylan walking away.

"..." Dylan was clenching his fist.

The scene panned to another location of the desert, Katinka was walking by herself. She had her goggles over her eyes, as the sand storm brewed around her. "Barret... Where are you?...." She seemed serious, but pressed on alone.

Ahead of her, standing in the midst of the sand, was a form of person.

This caught her attention, getting her rushing to the silhouette in the shroud. "Barret?" She called, drawing near.

"Barret?" Answered a male voice. The figure turns to Katinka, as wind picks up carrying his cloak in the wind.

She halted, looking to the man. She was taken off guard as she spotted Seven before her. "Who... Who are you?..." She took a step back.

"They call me Luck, but you can call me Seven. Huh...You're a necroden though, aren't you?" Asked Seven, as his expression forms a smile.

Katinka grew uneasy. "L-Leave me alone..."

Seven steps closer to Katinka. "I was here to find another person, but I'll settle for killing a necroden any day."

"Just... Stay back... Don't come any closer." Katinka sparked up with electricity.

Seven quickly dashes forward, catching Katinka by the neck. "Careful...You're not the only one good with electrical dama here...But then...I'm not one to use such things, unless it matters..." He says, increasing his grip on her neck.

Katinka gritted her teeth. "Stop.... Please...." She gasped for air, her dama starting to loose control. It was sparking around wildly.

Seven laughs. "All the darkness in your electricity is amazing... I suppose I should lighten things up a little..." He begins to spark up with light and electrical dama, shooting it through Katinka wildly.

"AHH!" Katinka shrieked, painfully.

"You're absorbing the electricity...Interesting, too bad it's not working the same for the light dama..." Seven says, tossing Katinka down to into the sand hard. He forms his sword, and steps on her back.

"Ooooph..." She grunts, struggling beneath him.

"That a limiter? Ha ha ha ha!!! You're such a wannabe, it's outstanding. Let's get this off of you." He says, slashing the wires clear off. He then reaches down, and pulls the metal casing up, he noticed straps and cuts them. After cutting the device from her, he tosses it to the side.

Katinka was trembling beneath his foot. "......" She looked frightened.

Seven turns back to Katinka, smiling. "The fear in your face...Tell me. Before I guide your soul to Stykx, what do you want to see most? Perhaps you can feel better, that it won't be poisoned by your presence anymore."

Katinka looked horrified, tears escaping her eyes as she was shakily profusely. "......"

Suddenly, Seven slashes a bullet from hitting him. He turns quickly to spot Barret. "...I hope that wasn't meant for me..." Seven sneered.

Barret stood ahead of Seven, his sniper was drawn. "Get away from her! NOW!"

"What? You want me to let this necroden go? Have you no idea what they are capable of? Even to someone of your nature. You should go, and let me deal with this garbage." Seven scoffed.

Katinka's eyes noticed Barret. "(Barret... No... He's going to get hurt going against this Lighton... oh crap....)" She was still whimpering.

"I'm going to ask you again! Let my girlfriend go!" Barret shouted.

Seven frowns. "Are you being serious right now? A human and a necroden? I suppose I will have to deal with you as well. For a human, you should be trying to set an example. You know how infectious these things are?"

"Screw your logic, I've learned that Elementar, can get along with humans... She's been through some tough times, and I won't allow you, or anyone to hurt her!!!" He says, running at Seven quickly.

Seven smiles, and quickly rushes at Barret, punching him in the stomach. Barret falls back onto the sand, facing up. "Grr...." Barret groans.

Seven looks back to Katinka, he walks over, and picks her up by her hair, getting Katinka to her feet. Seven forces her over to Barret, who was still trying to stand.

Barret then turns to them, squinting. "Katinka...."

Seven grips Katinka, to face Barret. "Tell her anything you want... I'll take her life, in exchange for yours..."

"Barret.... Just run...." She was shaking.

" Katinka... I don't what your deal is with necrodens, but please... Just let her go! She's only a girl..." Barret says, fearfully.

"Boy, girl, man, woman, child. They're all the same in darkness. With that being said... I hope you cherish what's left of your last words to her..." Seven says, as he arches Katinka backwards roughly.

"Ugh..." She groaned, her eyes fearfully gazing to Barret. ".... Barret....."

Before she could say another world, Seven impails her abdomen with his free hand. It was reached up high into her body. Katinka's eyes shook violently, as her breathing escalated. Not even a moment passed, before Seven tore Katinka's beating heart from her body, exposing it to Barret. Katinka seemed to be fading fast, as she gasps from the pain of the heart's removal.

"You got thirty seconds." Seven states, tossing the heart to Barret. He then drops Katinka, turning from them, and walking away. "Count yourself lucky. I have another human to deal with."

Barret grips to Katinka, frantically. "Katinka hang on... Please...You can't die..." He cried, softly.

Katinka looked to him, trying to speak, but no words came from her mouth. Her eyes rolled into the back of her head, before she fell limp.

Barret begins to weep, holding Katinka closely. "Katinka... I'm sorry.... I couldn't save you...." His tears were starting to become angry. "First my sister, then my friends... and now Katinka... I hate Kaos... I hate them all..." He growls, gripping tightly to Katinka's body. Barret then lifts his head, determination crossing his face,"A dream tear...That's it! I can save her!" He says, picking Katinka's body up into his arms. "Don't worry..." Barret then rushes forward through the desert.

He was roaming for some time, but happened across an oasis. It was getting hotter by the second, so he approached it, leaning Katinka's body up to a nearby tree.

"(I have less than an hour here...I really hope I find one soon.)"Barret wipes some sweat from his head, as he dips his hand into the water to get a drink. As he sips from his palm, he felt a gun placed to the back of his head. "Huh!?" He gasped, as the water in his hand, fell back into the oasis. He could see a slight reflection of blond hair in the pond.

"Like I'm really sorry about this." Spoke a female voice, one that Barret recognized.

Barret's eyes widen in surprise. "S-Sandra, you don't have to do this! We can...Leave here together...I mean..." He was too shaken for words.

Sandra cocked the gun, "I don't like have a choice here, Barry. You like... Have to die... They can totally bring you back though, as a unit... that girl there too if you like want... I'm like sorry, I just... like can't go against Kaos' orders... The doc would have a fit... This is totally bogus..."

"Sandra...Think... just think about what you're saying! Even if I come back as a unit... I'll be whatever they want me to be... You have a chance here... We both do, please, I'm your brother! That should out weigh anything Kaos says!" Barret pleaded.

"This is like my last chance... I can't mess this up Barry... If I like do... They would hunt me down, and make me into a unit too... I'm sorry... I'm so sorry....." Sandra was starting to cry. "I'm just scared here... I can't..."

Barret sighs to himself. "...Sandra, we've gone this long without falling to Kaos forces...I don't want in you in danger, and you staying here will just....You have to trust me! We will make this work, please Sandra!"

"Barry... I just can't do that. I'm sorry." She said, pulling the trigger of the gun.

An over view of the scene, showed the bullet fly through Barret's cranium, before his body fell to the side. Birds flew off from the gun shot, right as Sandra fell to her knees, starting to cry.

Elsewhere is the Zokyo desert. Issac had found his way into the destroyed structure of the old AM base. Many Kaos robots laid in the sand, not far off from him. He was looking at the mess, as he made his way through a hallway.

"They weren't kidding when they said the base was destroyed back then... Wow..." He muttered, glancing around. "I really wonder where the others are though."

A tall, male figure in black, wearing a helmet with massive horns, and blades to the side of his head; appeared from the other end of the hallway. His coat trailed down to his heels, and his sleeves draping down, passed his fingers. He looks to Issac a solemn expression on his face. "Target locked." He spoke, in a very monotone manner.

Issac caught notice of the man, as the figure approached him. "..." He halted, holding his power glove to his side, at ready. "That voice..."

The tall man quickly darts in Issac's direction. He knocks Issac through some rubble, then engaging what seemed to be power gloves, he formed two red sabers. "..."

Issac grunted, sitting up from the impact. He held his head, leering to the man. "You're one of Kaos' units, aren't you?..."

The man rushes at Issac once more, slashing at him with great speed. Issac back flips, avoiding the attack. He then launches himself back, at the saber wielding figure, slashing him backwards. The mystery man then twirls himself, spinning like a sharp top in Issac's direction. Issac rolls, avoiding the attack, as the unit smashes through a wall. He then turns around, coming from his spin, looking in Issac's direction silently. "..."

Issac formed his power glove's green blade, preparing for the next strike. "Not much for conversation, are you?"

The man began approaching Issac, still saying not a word. He then dashes at Issac, shooting dark dama blasts, which begin to tear up the hall, as they make their way at Issac. Issac immediately uses the wing function on his power glove, flying over the dark energy, he then lures himself over the black garbed man, forming his sword. He dives down on the man, breaking through the mask, as the man arched himself back. In the process of attempting to dodge, his left eye was slashed through. The man rears away, as his helmet crashes to the ground.

Issac took a moment, to pan his eyes to the figure, however he was stunned upon seeing the man's face. "Wait... Zihark?... What the heck..."

Zihark turns his attention back to Issac, the robot's body was now glowing with dark energy. "Death is imminent." Zihark says, teleporting before Issac. He swings his saber, as Issac quickly ducks. "Annoying..." Zihark says, swinging his second saber. Issac rolls out of the way, as his clothes get nipped by the heat of the blade. He then rears back once more, striking Zihark backward.

Dark fog begins to seep from Zihark, across the floor, and as Issac looked around, sharp spikes shoot up cutting around him. Zihark then flies at Issac, slashing him back through more debris. Issac grips to some rubble, squinting as Zihark was seen walking to him through the dust.

"... (Man... Zihark's more lethal when going up against him... Dammit...) Urgh..."

"You will die." Zihark says, flying yet again at Issac quickly.

Issac was struggling to get up, but he was far too weak to avoid the attack. Zihark came at him like a missile, jabbing one of his his red sabers through Issac's abdomen.

Issac's eyes widened, as he coughed up a slight bit of black blood. Zihark withdrew his blade, letting Issac crash to his knees, his palms to the ground, as more black blood escaped his infliction. "...." Issac groaned, falling to his side, his hand trying to stop the bleeding. Issac weakly stared up to the intimidating giant, hovering over him.

"Mission Complete....Returning to base..." Zihark says, teleporting away.

Issac held his wound, squinting his eyes, as he stared the the darkening sky, through the destroyed roof of the base. "Is this... really it?... This is how I'm supposed to die?... Urgh... Why now of... all times... does that scare me?.... Jit...." He groaned, gripping to the pain.

The clicking of heels approaches him, causing Issac to look over. His vision was blurry, but he could see someone crouching down beside him. As his vision cleared up slightly, he realized it was Witchhazel.

"Hazel?... Urgh... You're here..." Issac spoke softly, reaching his free hand to her.

Witchhazel took his hand, with hers. "Issac..."

He tried to smile to her. "I would say I'm okay, but I'm done lying."

"I know..." She sat down with him, placing his upper back, and head to her lap. "I can't stop this from happening... I wish I could... but, this was the longest your timeline would allow."

"Hazel?... Ugh... What... are you talking about?" Issac winced slightly, his eyes peering to her.

Her fingers trailed through his hair, as she sighed. "Issac, I've been keeping something from you."

"... What is it?... Urghh... You... Can tell me..." He replied, weakly.

Witchhazel closed her eyes. "This isn't your first time dying, Issac... With help from SJ and mother Joan... I altered the very fabrics of time and space, to help you live the longest you could, through my guidance. Not only did you benefit from my aid, but the lives of your friends were also changed..."

Issac was staring to her, in complete shock.

Witchhazel opened her eyes, solemnly. "Those strange dreams you had in the Dread zone, the ones that didn't make sense why they were there... They actually happened before, just like the memories you relived. I wasn't that strong of a witch then, but after you threw yourself from that tower... I did everything in my power to learn how to manipulate time, and straightened my mind to predict the future paths, and read minds... In doing so, I managed to ensure you the longest, happiest life possible. As well as your friends'. You have no idea how many times I've reset your timeline, bringing you the furthest I could... " She was on the verge of tears. "But I only got closer to you in the process. Now, here we are again... and there's nothing I can do to save you this time..."

Issac reached his hand to her face, wiping away her tears. "Hazel. You did all that for me?"

She nodded, touching to Issac's face. "You're more valuable to me, than any gem or coin, Issac. I would do it again, if it meant you could stay with me... but I can't... This is the best outcome in all those timelines. Changing anything would ruin that..."

"...Hazel." Issac smiled, a tear trailing down his cheek. "Parting is such sweet sorrow... but I can't be a hero unless I die..." He tried to sit up, but stumbled. "Though...Maybe..."

Witchhazel caught him, looking to him with worry. "Issac... You can't stay in this plane, you'll be trapped in Limbo. You need to go to the Blue world..."

Issac weakly placed his hand to her face, shaking his head. "I can't leave you... I won't... I love you, Witchhazel... More than all the stars in the sky... More than anything else I hold dear..." His eyes were slowly closing, as his voice grew softer.

"Issac?" Witchhazel grew uneasy, as Issac suddenly fell limp. "....." Her eyes began to trail with tears, as she hugged to his body.

A dark vortex appeared behind her, as SJ approached Witchhazel. He peered down to her, exhaling smoke, from his cigarette. "You knew this would happen, Witchhazel, but you could have saved him from Zihark."

Witchhazel lowered her head. "I tried before... As soon as were to Issac discover that all his friends are dead, he would take his own life... I can't go through that again..."

"I see. Well, it's about time we take him to the Dread graveyard." SJ helped her pick Issac up, looking to her. "If Issac has unfinished business, he may end up a spirit... Rather than going to the afterlife... Either way, you did say this timeline was held the best outcome."

"I know. It would be pointless to rest it again..." She sighed, as the two of them entered the vortex ahead, letting it vanish off.

Around this time, the rain was still falling over the construction area, where flames were still caught in places. A radio laid not too far from the bodies of Kirb and Denki. It suddenly clicked on, cutting in through radio chatter. "Is anybody there!? This is Medatros! Please respond!" Medatros's voice rang out from the device, his tone urgent.

The view panned over to Denki's mangled body. From his remaining arm, his finger twitched slightly in response to the voice of the communicator. The sound of a vehicle landed not to far off, as two sets of boots stepped through the puddles of rain water, over to the bodies.

"Much like Kaos to resort to acts of subterfuge. This area is resonating with agony, and carnage..." The voice of Nyeyomi stated, as she was seen looking over the chaos.

Nari was trembling, as she steps forward, beside Nyeyomi. She then spots pieces of Kirb's body. She grits her teeth, turning away quickly. "I-I can't do this... Nyeyomi... I can't do that to him."

Nyeyomi pats Nari's shoulder. "Shall I give him a proper cremation then, so Kaos can't either?"

Nari gasps, she then hugs to Nyeyomi. "Y-Yes, please....I'm sorry...I can't even look at him this way..."

"Think nothing of it. If you want to wait in the car, I'll dispose of the body." Nyeyomi approached Kirb's remains, manifesting flames in her natural hand.

Nari nods. "A-Alright...Thank you Nyeyomi..." She says, glancing back briefly. Nari then begins to walk back in direction of the car.

Nyeyomi nods, as she began to ignite the remnants of Kirb. The flames were far more coarse than the ones from before, melting away the flesh and bone without much effort. Nari kept walking, but passed by Denki's body. His arm shifted briefly, with a soft groan. "...Urgh..."

Nari turns quickly to Denki, as her eyes perk up. "Huh? Uhh Nyeyomi!? I think this guy is alive over here!"

Nyeyomi turned around, seeming baffled. This caused her attention to be grabbed, as she approached. Nyeyomi knelt down to Denki, her eyes on him. "His body is mangled beyond medical recovery. I'm baffled that he's even breathing, with how grotesque the damage on him is. How enigmatic. This has me curious, perhaps we can salvage this one. I know he's not your Usa, but perhaps we can alleviate his agony."

"I suppose, I guess we'll see what we can do..." Nari says, thinking to herself.

"I think my skills with repairs should work just fine for his physical wounds at least. Would you mind assisting me, in getting him into the car?" Nyeyomi responded, reaching for Denki.

Nari nods, "Alright..." She says, turning her attention to the fire where Kirb's body was before. "(It's not fair...Why does he get to live?)" She asked herself, becoming aggravated.

Even though she was hurting, she helped her friend get Denki's body into Nyeyomi's vehicle. The scene panned to black.

Epilogue: A Few Weeks later...

In a ship traveling through space, Chris was sitting at a computer console. He was looking over a previous video feed, of the incident that had unfolded. His expression was serious and uneasy. "(They killed them all… Katinka, dammit… Grr, Kaos… That robot that Asuna made… Zihark, they worked him over… I have to stop them.)" Chris was growing more angry, as he watched more. He rewinds the feed, to the point that was showing Katinka again. As the frames skip, he freezes them on Seven. "(That guy…Yeah…I'll have to find him too…)"

A mechanical sliding door is heard opening, and Chris scrambles turning off the computer "Chris?" Spoke a female voice. He turns quickly to spot a woman with black hair, which she had up in a ponytail, tied with a yellow bow. She was wearing a pink shirt, and blue shorts. She folds her arms, keeping a very stoic expression. "We've been waiting on you, we were about to discuss the mission details about Terraldyn. Is everything alright?" She inquired.

Chris smiles to the woman, "Yeah Kareen, I'm fine… Must have gotten caught up in mail from girls…You know how it is... Heh… I hope Gabe will pay attention this time around." He mocked, placing a hand behind his head.

"Honestly Kumono. I'm depending on you to lead, when I'm not present… As for the Prince, we'll have to see… I'm counting on both of your efforts here… Now let's go." Kareen says, walking to the door, a paper airplane hits her in the face, as the door opened. She growls, "PRINCE!!!! THIS IS A SERIOUS MISSION! Give me that paper now!"

"Awe, come on Kareen, it was joke. It just needed a hard place to land that's all." The boy named Gabe, spoke sarcastically, through the doorway.

Kareen marches into the room as the door shuts behind her. Yelling could be heard from her soon after. Chris turns back to the computer, his expression was now solemn. "(We're going back… And this time… Kaos will fall… I don't care what it takes… I'll see to it…)"
