45 Make way for the Dama Units

Still around the festival location, Asuna and Yuji were standing together, watching the fireworks display. Asuna had her arms around Yuji's, staring in awe at the sight.

"It's so pretty." She giggled.

Yuji laughs to himself, "You got that right, just like it's right out of a good movie. With a good ending." He says smiling to Asuna.

She looks to him with a smile as well, she had doe eyes for him. "You're always so romantic."

"It's how I'm written, my sweet." Yuji states, snickering.

Footsteps approach Asuna and Yuji from behind. They turn to spot Nari.

"There you are. This place is a lot bigger than I remember." Nari states smiling to the couple.

"Leave it to my sister to get lost." Asuna teased, "How have you been Nari, I haven't seen you in some time due to work." She hugged her younger sister.

Nari laughs, reaching around, hugging Asuna, before breaking the hold. "Oh you know, same old, same old. Overlooked while any other scientists gets their rewards. Not to mention boys. Urgh I'm getting to the point, I think experiments may be the way to go."

Yuji laughs nervously, "Hey knock it off, you're sounding like you're going into some bad horror script mentality."

Asuna hugs to Yuji, looking playful. "You worry too much." Her eyes glanced to Nari. "Well, if things don't work, I think I know a guy who'd be right up your alley. I know, because I made him myself." She said proudly, pointing over to Zihark, who was observing them

Nari growls, "Made? I don't need a robot, I'm not that desperate Asuna! I'll figure it out, the world is full of fish...Which are alive, and not metal. Granted you know how to make them attractive."

Asuna sticks out her tongue with a wink. "I was teasing, relax little sister. I actually do know some guys you may like though. Speaking of... We've been talking about this work, that father placed us in." Asuna grew more serious.

Nari's expression also dampened with a sigh, "This further explains why you two are here...Kyro. That guy...It shouldn't be too much longer. I've gotten a lot of other problems out of our way. We should be able to split off, and do our the plan soon."

Yuji turns his attention to Nari, "About that...We're thinking of sticking around. You know, joining these guys to get away from it all?"

Nari's eyes widen in surprise. "W-What? You can't be serious! You know how under powered these humans are. Why are you risking Kyro's wrath?"

"Staying with Kaos is keeping me from my dreamboat, not to mention he nearly died! Father wants us apart because he doesn't approve, but I don't care what he thinks. I will do whatever it takes to be with Yuji, including staying on the human's side. They've been handling the Zodiac pretty well, so they may actually win this! Think of the extra help we'd have for the 'take over'... Wait, why don't you join too?" Asuna exclaimed.

Nari gasps, and then places a hand to her chin. "Me joining? You have to be out of your mind. I understand your reasons sis, but seeing three people would recognize me from Bryce's show. It could get really sticky."

"They saw you? Did they know about you being a Kaos operative, or did they think you were a studio worker?" Asuna grabbed her sister's shoulders.

"Well, I came off like a person suspecting them of Kaos. I didn't give away my true roots. Though it could still be bad if they see me show up. Urgh, what am I going to do?" Nari says, pondering to herself.

Yuji quirks a brow, "You sound like you're interested in our little plan."

Nari turns to Yuji,"I'm just considering my options. Going against Kyro early, could mean a lot of bad for us and this organization, if things got to the surface. However, seeing we've gotten this far without either Kaos or Kyro's forces knowing, we'd stand a good chance of shutting them down faster..."

Asuna thought a bit, "You could always keep the act up, then apologize for mistaking them. Then you can offer to help, in order to avenge your friend Bryce. I have a feeling they'd believe that. I really do think these guys can handle their own against both Kaos and the Zodiac. Plus, Yuji wants to make a friend." She chuckled with a shrug.

Nari's eyes widen looking to Asuna, "You're right! You're a genius! There's a reason you're my sister, I hope one day I'm as clever as you with lies."

Asuna held a finger to her lips, laughing "Shh."

Yuji chuckles, "Man you know what? I may need to make up a script that involves you two living double lives. Kind of a spy flick."

Asuna grabbed his ear. "Trying to move away from double lives, remember sweetie?"

Yuji snickers. "Yeah,yeah I remember. So, I guess we'll call this meeting to a close."

Nari nods grinning happily. "It seems like it! So, about those boys you mentioned?"

Meanwhile, Issac and company was searching out the rest of their forces, so they can figure things out from here. Issac had his arms behind his head, with Witchhazel floating behind him. Barret was leading the way, with Cravic not to far behind him. He was still carrying Myde it seemed.

"Wonder where the others are." Issac mentioned.

"I made a call, but got nothing. They might be occupied, but I'll have to try again soon." Barret states keeping his eye ahead of him.

"Yet no one remembers about the meeting spot Denki picked out." Cravic muttered.

"That's right! What about there Chief?" Issac exclaimed.

Barret turns back to Issac, "Well, it's worth a shot, maybe they already have the information." He pondered.

"For fifty zio, I could get you their locations." Witchhazel teased.

"Bribing us? Really?" Barret asked to Witchhazel, quirking a brow.

"It's called a short cut for a reason." Witchhazel chuckled.

Issac sweat dropped. "She's got a good point."

Barret digs in his pocket pulling out a couple of golden coins with red orbs in the center. He lazily hands them over to Witchhazel.

"Cha-ching!" She takes the money, "I believe Kirbon is by the shooting range."

"..." Cravic looked annoyed with a scoff. "(What's with this chick?)"

Witchhazel shot him a sly smirk, he gawked a bit.

Barret rubs the back of his head. "If it were that easy, urgh thanks. Come on, let's get to the shooting range."

The group soon made their way over, and sure enough Kirb was playing the gun game that popped balloons for prizes. He was blowing bubbles with his gum, as he got the high score, winning a very large stuffed panda. He had a bag of prizes, overflowing by his heels.

"See, didn't I tell you?" Witchhazel smiled.

Barret nods to her, comment walking to Kirb. "Kirb? Hey, we need to get back to the hotel. Glad we found you."

Kirb gives Barret a slight smirk, in a crude manner. "I didn't know you actually swinged that way, blondie."

Barret instantly forms an anger vein, "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!? Urgh, beyond that, there was a Zodiac attack, and we all need to regroup."

"Ah. Gotcha. So much for fun and games." Kirb muttered a bit.

Barret nods, "Come on." He says, heading back to Issac and the others.

Kirb followed him over, with his prizes that he gave to Witchhazel, who placed them inside her portable shop she held. "Here, fair trade now?" Kirb muttered.

"I do believe so." She giggled. In exchange, she handed him a bag of strawberry, that he placed in his pocket. However, he kept the giant panda plush with him. They still needed to find the others.

"That leaves, Bit, Asuna, Zihark, Denki, and Asuna's new squeeze. Right?" Issac looked to Barret.

Barret nods in response, "Exactly, sooner we get them, the better. Though Denki, we should give him space if he asks for it."

"Right, poor guy." Issac nodded, he felt bad for Denki.

"Next location will be a hundred Zio." Witchhazel held a finger to her cheek.

Issac gawked a bit, "Jeez."

Barret shakes his head, "There's no way...Unless." He looks to Kirb, "How much else did you win from the gun range?"

"Panda." Kirb chuckled.

"Well, you want to trade?" Barret asked to Witchhazel.

"Oh no, no haggling for objects I can't use. We already made a trade for the strawberries, so I'm full up on stock." She smiled.

Barret looked to Kirb again, "Trade back the strawberries for zio."

"Nope." Kirb twitched his ear.

Barret groaned, looking back to Witchhazel. "Come on, cut us a break here."

"Sorry, no can do. Everything has a price.No zio, no deal." Witchhazel grinned.

"Issac, your girlfriend is being VERY unreasonable! (I can't believe I'm relying this much on bribery.)" Barret states to Issac.

The others seemed surprised by the word 'girlfriend'. Issac smiled uneasily, chuckling. He glanced to Witchhazel. "Is there maybe something, maybe I could do, to get us a discount? Huh, Hazel?"

She floated behind him, placing her arms around his neck. "For you, it's on the house." She giggled, kissing his cheek.

Barret sweat drops, "Well then...Umm Issac, can you please have her tell us where the others are?"

Issac glanced back to Witchhazel, with a smile. "So? Where to?"

Witchhazel glanced over to Barret, still floating there. "Is there a particular inquiry to whom you wish to find?"

Barret's eye twitches, "Maybe everyone we're looking for, how about everyone Issac mentioned?"

She scoffed in amusement, "Check the Dojo first, hotel room to pick up 'your' girlfriend, then where they're holding the fireworks second. Finally, back to the ship to find the last one."

"Great, so the Dojo, the hotel, and then we wrap back around to the Fireworks." Barret pondered to himself. "Okay then, so to the Dojo. Why this order though?"

"That'll be two hundred Zio. I don't read the future for free now." Witchhazel smiled.

Barret sighs, "Come on, let's just go. At this rate, we'll be broke before getting back to base."

Barret led the group ahead. Kirb followed, not really caring too much. Cravic after him, holding Myde, he was already getting irritated by the witch. That left Issac in the rear, with Witchhazel floating beside him.

Issac peered her way, "What is the reason, if you don't mind me asking?"

She winked to him, "If you wait, you'll miss everything. Better get moving now."

He sweat dropped, "If you say so." He said, hurrying after the others, with his witch of a girlfriend.

Over by the Dojo, Bit was still with Thundora, and the other elemental maidens. He seemed to be enjoying himself.

"That was great!" Thundora says, still holding tightly to Bit.

Figra,Sayame and Maple were drinking from some tea cups. "Maybe you had fun, but I think I was a little unprepared. I mean such elegance to be seen in my performance, was lacking I fear." Sayame states, taking another sip.

Figra slams her cup down onto the table. "Fuck what you think. At least you have a chance to woo someone...I'm stuck clinging to hope that some young bloke will fancy me."

Maple looks over to Figra smiling, "Maybe if you participated in the show, then you could have found that someone."

Figra sighs to herself, "You are dim to think that anything of the sort, would work in my favor?"

Sayame fixes her hair a little, "Then give up by all means, there are those gifted already with such beauty."

Figra growls standing to her feet. "I'LL SHATTER YOUR INFLATED EGO WITH MY FIST!"

Thundora was playing with Bit's nose. She then looks to the others, "Figra, chill out. You'll find someone, or something. You failed once, but it's not the end of the world. There are plenty of guys out there."

Figra quirks a brow to Thundora. "Why are you trying to motivate me, with such, uplifting words?"

Thundora smiles, "You're my sissy, sissy. So stop being such a downer!"

Maple giggles, "Wow, Thundora isn't starting a fight with Figra! I bet it's the blessing of the cyber guy in her arms."

Sayame sips her tea silently.

Bit chuckled, "Do I get an achievement for that? Like a paramour or something of that nature?"

Thundora kisses Bit on the lips. "There's your reward!"

"Whoa, I think I lagged a bit, could you run that by me again?" Bit drooled slightly. "I don't mind being spammed with an attack like that."

Thundora laughs, "Weeeell." She was about to kiss him once more, but before she was able to continue, a blast is heard outside of the Dojo. They all turn their attention to the entrance.

Figra stands up quickly, "The fuck was that?"

Thundora held tightly to Bit. "Whatever it is, I don't want any part in it!"

"If it ports in here, I'll perma-ban them. I've farmed up a lot of EXP, so I can handle a few mid bosses." Bit snickered.

Maple shakes her head, "I'm getting a really strong reading from my dama...These have different properties than anything I've felt before. We should run!"

Sayame quirks a brow, "Are you saying our abilities are no match? I can understand if you feel threatened. However as my tides have it, they have a force to reckon with."

Figra growls, "I normally would back you on your words, but if Maple is feeling something terrible...Then THIS ISN'T THE TIME TO GET COCKY!"

Sayame sighs, folding her arms. "Alright everyone, time to evacuate."

The door to the Dojo is blown open, and in walks Glitch and Bombodia.

"Knock-knock." Bombodia says, smiling.

Glitch spots Bit, instantly recalling him. "(Haru...That's who you are...) Okay Bombodia, you know the plan. You Elemental hazards are coming back with us."

Bit gawked at Glitch. "Did I accidentally log out for a sec there? Or is my system glitching?... Jin...?"

Glitch's eyes sharpen, and he rushes at Bit, prying him from Thundora's arms. He looks to Bit sharply, as data begins to envelope around his arm. "You didn't see me like this....My name is Glitch...You have me mistaken for someone else..." He says, tossing Bit through the table in the dojo. He then swings his hand, developing digital cages around the elemental maidens.

Bombodia sighs, "Jeez, I wonder why I even decided to come in here with you green? You're taking all the fun away. I mean at least let me get a finger, or two."

Thundora pounds on the cage. "LET US OUT OF HERE!!! BIT!!!!" Thundora says, sparking around. Her electricity was absorbing into the cage around her.

Figra tries to flame up, but it was also under going the same effect. "You've got to be fucking kidding me!"

Glitch looks to them. "Forget about that worthless piece of data. He's only a number..."

"Thun...dora..." Bit was barely sitting up in the rubble, holding his arm slightly. "(I'm shovel ware compared to this... I can't handle a boss rush without the Co-Op function... not to mention... Jin... Did Kaos rework him just like they did to me?)"

Bombodia picks Bit up, from the rubble. "Hey, Glitch? Maybe we can take him back with us? Database picked up something, he's one of Salvador's."

At the same time, Issac and the others were making their way over, but something felt off. People were around them crying. Some were even trying to hurt themselves, and laying on the ground.

Barret falls to his knee, a tear begins to fall from his eye, then both. "Sandra...SANDRA!!!!" He cried loudly, holding his face.

Kirb was laying on the ground now in the fettle position. "..." His panda fell behind him.

"I... You can handle this, right?" Cravic muttered, hurrying off.

Issac stood there in confusion, as the others were crumbling like he would, yet he remained fine. "What?.... Why are you guys...?" He glanced to Witchhazel, who sat on the ground.

"I'm going to go out of business like this! How can I run a shop, and not make any money! I'm so poor!" She cried, blowing loudly into a tissue. "It's not fair!!"

Issac seemed unnerved by this, and turned his attention ahead, "Something not right here... but why am I not effected?"

Then he heard a familiar voice. "Don't cry! Ladies and gents, it's all a matter of time before better things come your way! I have some friends coming to take you all to happy land!" The voice exclaimed. Landing out of the air to the ground in front, of Issac was a man in a top hat. "I AM YOUR HOST, SHINZ WAVE!" He proclaims, with great audacity.

"Bryce?!" Issac gawked.

Shinz turns his attention to Issac quickly. He swings his cane, which held a mic on the end into his right hand. "I beg your pardon?"

"Did Kaos do this to you?" Issac was unnerved, yet frustrated.

"To me? To...Me?...Hmm...OH! I think I know the problem here. You're not responding to my emotion waves. You gotta take the pill kid. Trust me." Shinz says, overlooking Issac's question.

"Pill?... You're saying... my depression is why I'm not effected?... Hey! You're getting me side tracked!" Issac formed his power glove blade. "Kaos is behind this, aren't they? They messed with you, just like Bit! You won't be taking anybody back with you to this 'happy land', pal. I don't care if you used to be one of my favorite talk show guys! You're under Kaos, and I'm going to fix this!" Issac stated, confidently.

"OH! Such charisma! You say you were a fan of mine? I don't know about you, but my older side had a lot of bumps. Kaos fixed me, and I'm sure he can fix you too. Just weird you're not being effected by this. But hey! It's time for the SHOW! Let's see what you got kid! You might make it to stardom yet." Shinz says, swinging his cane around in his hand, stopping aiming it right at Issac.

Meanwhile in the Dojo, Bombodia was still looking to Glitch, upon her statement, when Shinz was smashed in through the opening of the doorway, and slid across the floor without any warning.

Bombodia and Glitch turn their attention to Shinz. "What are you doing? You're suppose to have things under control. Don't tell me an Elementar, or something popped up." Bombodia states.

Shinz grins coughing a little, "Ohhhh no, this is a human. He's good...My waves were useless against him...Don't get me started on those re-runs either." He states, gripping himself up.

Glitch grunts, looking to the entrance. "Idiot...I guess he's on his way."

Issac came up the steps, his power whip dragging on the ground beside him. He noticed Glitch and Bombodia. "... (Jin and Nala too.... great... Bryce wasn't the only one...)"

"Issac." Bit spoke weakly, from Bombodia's grasp.

Issac's eyes widened slightly, "Bit!" He arched himself, "(I don't have a choice here.)" The maidens however, seemed to be absent now.

"Wow, look who it is...I remember you...Failed to stop me from getting captured there..Don't worry though, it all worked out. I kind of like the new me, I get to blow things up... A LOT." Bombodia says, holding Bit up, as her other hand forms a bomb.

"If he's smart, he won't try taking us on... Not like he can really stand up to what makes his weapons work." Glitch states, keeping a straight face.

Shinz stands to his feet. "Now don't get too over confident you two, though he's human. He's pretty sharp with those skills. I've got some other re-runs on the way though, hopefully we can hold this guy down, until they get here."

Glitch growls, "OR we can get back to base. We got what we came for...."

Bombodia sighs, "Green? Give us a chance to have a little fun, okay? You already got the elemental girls."

"Fine..." Glitch says, crossing his arms.

Issac swung his power glove forward, taking the form of a crossbow. "I may have a few tricks up my sleeve, so don't count me out so soon. Heat not a furnace for thy foe, so hot that it douth singe thyself."

Bombodia snickers, "Cute, so you got one for bombs? Because I know where this one is going next." She says tossing Bit to the floor. A cyber cage appears around Bit.

Issac released a virtual arrow, that blasted passed two of the three units, striking the bomb in Bombodia's hand. The bomb explodes, however her hand was unfazed, but the armor around her hand was cracked in places. She grits her teeth looking to Issac. "You think you're funny huh? Snappy little brat." She says, forming another bomb. Bombodia then jumps in Issac's direction quickly.

He crouched, shifting the power glove to the whip again, lashing it at her, as she came down at him. Bombodia is caught by the whip slamming into the ground hard. Her bomb falls ahead of her, blowing up a section of the dojo's wall. She grips to the whip, and swings her hand, tossing Issac with it out of the dojo. She gets back to her feet. "This kid's pissing me off!"

Glitch laughs, "You're first unit commander. You can't be telling me that he's giving you a hard time. I understand Shinz, but you're the freaking alpha project..." Glitch scoffs.

Issac had been thrown across the way, but he lands on his feet in the distance.

Bombodia sighs, "Fine I'll step it up..Won't be fair though."

Glitch sighs, "Just DO something that works."

Shinz grins uneasily, "I hate to intrude, but he's baaaaack."

Issac came rushing at them, with his sword function, slashing vertically.

Bombodia quickly avoids his slash, shooting a heat seeking bombs his direction. "All that sweat helps me out greatly." She jokes, as the bombs rush their way at Issac, quickly.

A bullet flew, destroying one of the bombs quickly, which chains into the other. There stood Barret and Kirb. Kirb's gun barrel was smoking. "Finally some stuff to shoot."

"WHY DO YOU KEEP DOING THAT?!" Bombodia say, getting annoyed. "Just a second, that came from another direction." She gasps, her eyes panning behind her.

"Nala?...Jin? Bryce?" Barret says, stunned by the sight. "Could one of them have been why we were feeling that way just then?"

"We don't speak about that. Ever." Kirb arched his gun.

Issac glanced to them, "Finally, I thought for sure I'd have to take all them on my by self." Issac shifted to the whip again.

Glitch laughs, "Would have been funny if you managed to even get that far."

Shinz thinks to himself, "Well, I'm out of juice with emotions, so my shows off air for now."

"Then leave...I'll deal with this, then we can finally return to base." Glitch says, looking to them all.

"Jin! What's gotten into you!?" Bit called out.

Glitches data turns red around Bit causing him intense pain. "Urgh!!!!!!!!!!" Bit fell back to his knees.

Bombodia flies, sucker punching Issac, knocking him back into the wall of another building, breaking through it. "You deal with them. I'll finish up my date with Shakespeare."

Glitch groans, "Whatever, JUST DO IT." Glitch says, forming copies of himself.

Barret's eyes widen. "ISSAC!! Shoot! (There's no way he could survive that, this is overkill!)"

"Which one you want?... They all look the same to me." Kirb muttered.

Shinz was making his way out of the dojo, as Glitch kept his eye on Barret and Kirb. He smirks. "For your sake, let's hope you choose wisely." He states, forming away into data.

"Dammit, I'm not sure Kirb, but that didn't sound good....I hope Issac is alive." Barret says, powering up his glove.
