3 My Fair Lady

Sion leads them to a room where there were clear glass chambers, with different Kaos robot endoskeletons behind them. There were little bios under the containers which told about the unit. Sion turns to Barret still holding Issac's hand.

"What you see here are the endoskeletons for our jumper units. They are pre-alpha Kaos robot designs, but in the future they will be security driven machines to help keep things in check around the city. I'm sure you wouldn't be getting into any problems, for these to seek you out?" She looked to Barret, keeping a firm grip on Issac's hand.

"Oh, uhh. You won't have to worry." Barret says nervously.

"Still talking when I asked you not to." Sion shot back to Barret. "It's like I'm talking through a wall." Sion says, shaking her head.

Barret scratches his head. "(I believe the term is, 'it's like I'm talking to a wall'.)"

"Why are they called 'jumpers'? Are they the life of the party? Never mind, that wasn't funny." Issac tried to make a joke, but failed.

Sion laughs, "My my! That was hilarious, you don't give yourself enough credit. As for the other question. Why we call them 'jumpers', is simply because they jump. However it's not just jumping, but they alert other units connected to them. The jumping helps their sight and even attacking. Which is quite painful if you get struck down... Only a precaution however, if it comes to such instances. They also lift their leg as a sign of aggressive tactic."

"(That's good to know...We should keep our eyes sharp for those things... Especially that leg lifting.)" Barret thinks keeping his sight on them.

"Oh, that makes sense." Issac observes the endoskeletons, before glancing to Sion. "(Gotta keep tabs on these things. Even if this chick might seem to like me, I can't be sure she won't be like the others...)"

Sion smiles to Issac. "I'm glad you're taking this info well. Most would perhaps bark at me about being to extreme, but as clear as your eyes, I just knew you'd like these developments..." Sion pulls Issac along with her.

Barret looks back at the endoskeleton, "(Extreme is one way to put it. I hope Issac is really paying attention to these things.)"

Sion looks back to Barret becoming angry. "THIS WAY! Please."

Barret jumps, and hurries along with with them. They enter a room which had a teleporter to get to the upper levels. Sion then turns to Barret.

"Mr. Rehys? If you wouldn't mind. I'd like you to stay here. I've ordered another person to continue the tour with you." Sion says, turning back to Issac.

Barret gasps, "H-huh? Umm, yes, as you wish."

Sion's grip tightens on Issac's hand. "We shall be heading ahead. Your guide shall be with you shortly. STAY HERE and wait...Let's go Mr. Himura." Sion takes Issac into the teleporter.

"Alright." Issac replied, going with her.

Barret grits his teeth, and sighs to himself. "What a mess this has become, (Well, I suppose while I'm here I can check around and see if there's more information to get back to the base.)" Barret decides to go searching around the headquarters.

He enters a lab room close by, and spots some computers, on them were letters and instructions he couldn't make out. He then turns his head spotting a list on the table with names of people. They were numbered coincidentally, and it was titled 'Test Subjects'.

"(Test subjects? What is this? Hmm...I don't know, something seems really fishy here.)" Barret thought to himself, as he turns his attention back to the exit.

He hurries to the exit, but on his way he catches a glimpse of another room. He walks over to it entering, inside was a chamber with the label '56' on the door. Behind the glass was a small girl, about the age of ten. She wore a purple and pink type outfit, with eye print stockings. Her dark blue hair was short and messy, held back with a headband. She was sitting on the ground, painting with her hands. Sitting next to her was an odd looking doll. She had not noticed Barret.

"(Hmm, interesting, but...I then have a unsettling feeling towards her...Why have her locked up in this?)" Barret pondered to himself.

A dark void appeared behind Barret, as someone stepped out from it, obscured from view. The smell of cigarettes flowed in the room around Barret, as fancy shoes paced near him. "You shouldn't be in here." Spoke a deep male voice.

Barret panics, and turns to the voice quickly. Standing behind him was a tall man, wearing a faded purple Victorian suit with coat tails. He had brown hair with a fedora placed on top of it. The red eyes stared to Barret's, as smoke rose from his cigarette.

"O-Oh, sorry about that. I got a bit lost...I had to use the restroom, before I knew it, I found my way here..." Barret says, trying to play off his innocence.

The mysterious man looked to Barret in silence, as the smoke continued to rise. "You're looking in the wrong place, kid."

Barret nods, and clears his throat. He looks back to the girl in the chamber. "If you wouldn't mind me asking, who is that, and why is she in that chamber?"

The man glances to the girl, "I do believe that is none of your business. I rather not discuss this with you. You're trespassing in my work station, and I rather you not stare at my daughter..." The man shoved Barret to the door, escorting him back out.

Barret gasps, "Oh I'm sorry... I should get back. I have to meet my tour guide. I'm so sorry I intruded like that." Barret says, turning back to the man bowing profusely.

"You should have waited like Sion asked you to. Tick tock, kid, move along. I don't have all day." The man made Barret head, into the main corridor.

"Okay, well thanks for helping me back here... Though you stated you got word about Sion's orders for me? Might you be the tour guide?" Barret questioned.

"In a matter of speaking." The man adjusted his fedora.

"Oh heh, wow speak of Sosa. That's good, I'm sorry I had wondered off again. So, what might your name be?" Barret asked placing a hand to his waste.

"No one in particular. Time is ticking." The man replied, leaving a trail of smoke as he began heading towards the teleporter.

Barret nods following after the man. "(I thought Princess Sion was creepy, but this man is giving me even stranger vibes. Could he be a Necroden?)"

Now in Sion's quarters, she pulls something off her dresser and takes it to Issac. "I normally don't bring visitors this FAR into the company, but you're an exception. This can get you instant access to see me...ONLY. Do not shed this secret to anyone else..." Sion hands him a little chip which was connected to a card, there were also numbers attached to the device he could use to call her. "Well then. I suppose you're wondering even more why I brought you to this secluded location, correct?"

Issac looked to the card, with a smirk. He placed it into his pocket. "(That's the Ticket! You go man. As long as she isn't like those other girls, you're golden.)" Issac looked to Sion grinning, "A super secret card, with your number? I think I got a good idea why."

Sion laughs and suddenly Issac feels a strong force grip his body. Sion pulls him over to her using her mind. "You might also have an even better idea of what I am planning next."

Issac bit his lip slightly, "(Dude, I think she's an elementar or something. Why do I have a feeling things are going to get REALLY kinky REALLY fast?)" He laughed slightly, caught off guard.

A rip is heard coming from Issac's shirt, and before Sion was able to go any further, Sion's communicator goes off. A screen appears and on it was the face of Kaos himself. "Sion? My, what might be going on there?" The flashing head says, looking to the two of them.

Sion grumbles. "YOU OLD RAISIN!!! You interrupted something important here!"

Kaos tilts his hat downward over his face. "I'm sorry my dear, but he is a bystander. Though at times I condone such actions, right now is not one of those. We have to keep up appearances. Though you are the Princess of this organization. I AM the founder and controller of how things work. I suggest you let him go, and never speak of this again. As for contact information. I will have to ask you to give that back to the Princess. If you would boy."

Issac's eyebrow was twitching, as he smiled uneasily, ".... (So much for that.)"

"I ASKED you to do something Boy. Do you have cold feet?" Kaos scoffed to Issac.

"(Crap... )" Issac took out the card, handing it back to Sion, with his hair casting slight shadows over his face, as he glanced to the image of Kaos. "(I'm in a pickle here, I'm so dead. This guy's really crashing the party. Well, things can still work out, maybe?)"

Kaos turns his attention to Sion. "Now, let this be a lesson Princess. When it's time to work, we work. When it's time to play, we play. However right now, business is the focus. I expect you to be at the meeting soon. As for you boy, I'm sending some officers to escort you out." Kaos cuts the feed, leaving Sion and Issac alone once again.

Sion sighs to herself, she then looks to Issac, "You're not going to think of me differently are you?" She asked fearfully.

"It's not your fault he's being this way." Issac rubbed the back of his head. "I'm pretty screwed over now for the job, huh? Hehe. (Just keep cool dude.)" He smiled slightly.

Sion leans in locking lips with Issac. She holds the kiss, and moves herself off of him. "If I could hire you I would, but I don't have that say so."

Issac stared to her, with his brows slightly furrowed. "(By that sin, fell the angels.) ...So. What now?"

"I suppose we'll have to wait until the officers get here. Kaos that old bag of dirt. He takes in more ladies than he can count, but me? I get the worse treatment when it comes to men." Sion says, sighing to herself once more.

"Eh? Is he some old pervert or something?" Issac gawked.

Sion nods, "Yes, he's very much so perverted. He has plans of recruiting more woman. HUGE surprise there, no...Not really." Sion states sarcastically.

"Love the sarcasm." Issac smiled jokingly.

Sion receives another call and she walks over to check on it. "Hmm, it seems the officers are outside. I do hope to see you again. Perhaps...Oh never mind." Sion turns from Issac.

Issac stood up, looking to her. "What's on your mind?"

"Business, nothing to concern yourself with. As of now, you're just another normal person. Keep what you found here out of the public mind, and ears. I'm not just telling you this because you've found some things about Kaos, but because I love you." Sion turns from Issac. "There were other guys, but they never treated me the way you do."

"...(She... Loves me?...)" Issac bit his lip, with furrowed brows.

There were knocks now sounding from Sion's door. "...I'm sorry Ricken." Sion looks to the door.

The officers enter the room and look to Issac. "Be careful with him alright?" Sion says, to the officers who now grabbed Issac by his arms.

"Yes Princess, understood." They replied, tugging Issac out with them.

Issac glanced back to Sion, he didn't look to thrilled about being taken out.

"Ricken..." Sion says, extending her hand to her chest.

Issac is taken back to the front entrance of the headquarters. Barret was there waiting with more officers. "Hey Ricken, how did it go?" Barret asked smoothly.

"I think I'm being booted out." Issac smiled hesitantly.

"We'll talk more outside, okay?" Barret says, walking to the exit ahead of Issac.

"Yeah." Issac nodded, following after Barret.

The two boys reached outside, away from any potential security systems or guards.

"Phew, we made it." Barret says keeping his composure. "So, what did you do to get booted out? Did you try to grope her or something? Hadn't it crossed your mind that we could get in trouble for this? I mean do you have any good information? Besides the data on a woman's body." Barret scolded.

"I'd rather not talk about it... I got the info, that's all you need to know." Issac looked off, his expression gloomy.

"Well that's good. Chin up, I hope we don't get into any problems. Though why are you so down?" Barret asks crossing his arms.

"..." Issac sighed, "Let me guess, if I don't fess up, you'll take my food again next time we eat?" Issac grumbled.

Barret laughs to himself. "Who says it has to be food?"

"You have no idea how cruel you are... I got bullied enough back in school. I don't need this... You don't know squat about me..." Issac was a bit more annoyed than usual. "Things were going great, until that old creep got involved." Issac mumbled to himself.

"That may be so, but wait, Creep? You mean the guy in the top hat, correct? I feel you might have ran across him on your journey with the princess?" Barret inquired.

Issac jumped slightly, looking over. "You have ears like a freaking fox... fine..." Issac sighed, moving his hair out of his face. "Sion was seriously into me, and I could have scored, but that prick showed up and had me kicked out. Happy?"

Barret holds a hand to his chin. "I see...(Perhaps holding down my findings until confirmed would be a good idea. Though I never liked Princess Sion from the start, those findings could aggravate him.) No worries Issac, it will work out. Sion is her own person. I'm sure something will come out of it. Cheer up, okay? Besides what would Xiao think if you were dating the Princess of Kaos?" Barret says looking back to Issac.

"(I don't care what she thinks. Whatever. If it's not meant to be, so be it. Nothing ever works out anyway...)" Issac thought with a sigh, "We should get to get to the rendezvous point."

Barret nods. "You're right. Come on then." Barret says, walking ahead of Issac.

Issac keeps up, but remains silent. "(It's so hard trying to be so cheery all the time... how does he do it?)"

The two finally reach the rendezvous point and are taken back to base. Some time had passed, and they arrived back at Alien Ministry. They made their way to Xiao's office. Inside Xiao was looking to a portrait of herself, with a man. Between them was a young boy, it seemed to have been taken some time ago.

"Director. Barret and Issac have returned." Announced one of her guards.

Xiao glanced over, walking from the portrait on her wall. "You two were gone longer than expected. I hope you have some solid evidence. " She spoke, with her usual serious demeanor.

Barret nods, "Well, upon arriving, we were escorted inside the premises. We had met the Princess of Kaos, Sion. Who was telling us about the makes of their security robots called 'Jumpers'. Apparently they are made as both security and weaponry. After further investigating, mostly by ear as I was unable to ask questions. Sion had us separated-"

"What?!" Xiao gawked angrily. "I told you not to.... Okay, it already happened..." Xiao was trying to calm herself down, with breathing exercises. "Issac, what happened, and what did you learn on your end?"

"Sion had me go with her, without any more sight seeing of the base... Uh... I was taken to her room. Nothing happened, but the guy with the mustache showed up over some communicator. I basically learned that he's an old pervert who recruits mostly woman to Kaos, and treats Sion badly. Basically, I wasn't supposed to be there, and I got kicked out." Issac looked off, gritting his teeth.

"You what? Grr, honestly.... so the company has perversion. Well, that's not much of a lead. I'm just relived you didn't get into a worse situation than being escorted from their building." Xiao held her temples, "Barret, please tell me you found something solid."

"I did, though he did hit on an interesting tidbit to follow up on my information. During our separation, I was told to wait for another tour guide... I know it was against the orders, but I went snooping around. I found a list of people who are test subjects. Many of the names sounded female. Not only this, there was a girl locked in a chamber. I was told by one superiors that it was his daughter, but my gut is telling me otherwise." Barret stated, seriously.

"Now that is something we can use as evidence. Excellent work you two. Seeing how you both handled that well, I'll let you keep the gloves you borrowed. Asuna can train you how they work more thoroughly. I believe the both of you are proving to be excellent workers to our organization. Next time however, mind my orders. I don't need you getting killed." Xiao turned from them, "The evidence you found shows that Kaos is up to something. We will be looking into this further. For now, you're dismissed."

The two leave her presence, heading back outside. There they met up with Cravic, who was awaiting them.

"I'm surprised you both made it out in one piece. Since you're being allowed to keep the power gloves, it's clear you've been promoted to field work. What comes with this promotion, well besides getting more into the gritty missions, you'll both be given custom uniforms to compliment your skill sets. You can pick those up in the morning. Keep up the good work." He said, walking passed them.

"Oh wow, you hear that Issac? We've been promoted!" Barret says, happily.

"And you were the one who didn't want the job to begin with. I hope we at least get a better sleeping situation to go with that." Issac rubbed the back of his head.

"I'm trying to cheer you up, about the Princess. Besides, this is more serious now, though we weren't trained before. I'm pretty sure we're going to be going on a lot more high priority missions. The bit about beds honestly could be good, rest is something we'd be needing." Barret says, placing a hand in his pocket.

"For Pete sake, did Cravic not bring that up? Talk about being too much of a hurry to get back to his own duties." Spoke Asuna's voice behind them, before Issac could speak.

Barret shudders a bit. "(A-Asuna....)"

Issac glances over his shoulder, "Huh? Oh hey. So, do we get new beds then?" Issac asked eagerly.

"You did get out of Kaos Scott free. Plus, you got promoted to field work, so yes, you get a new sleeping arrangement. Do you need help getting there?" Asuna placed her hands to her hips.

Barret finally turns to Asuna nodding quickly. "Y-Yes we'd like that, thank you."

"Cravic's lucky he doesn't get told 'to his the road Jack'. Honestly. Come along, the field worker rooms are this way." Asuna giggled, leading them off.

They arrived to a dormitory, where the room was smaller than the last one. Only two beds were in this particular room of the many laid down the halls.

"Lucky for you two, higher ranks, mean less crowds. I'm sure you approve." Asuna smiled.

Barret looks around, "Quite nice, this would make it easier to study if needed. What do you think Issac?"

Issac had already gone inside the room, whist Barret commented. He laid down on the bed position to the right, with his hands behind his head. "Well, it's soft." He chuckled.

Barret laughs, "I suppose you've chosen your bed. Good to know they're soft."

"You've got to be joshing me, is it that time already? I need to get back to the lab." Asuna rushed off down the hall.

Issac glanced over, "She's running like she's late for a hot date."

"(Aww, well it's okay I suppose there's always some other time..)" Barret turns his attention back to Issac, "I guess we'll get settled in, I wonder what they'll have next for us to do?" Barret says, walking into the room inspecting a cabinet.

"Sight seeing, helping people, playing with these 'power gloves', who knows." Issac closed his eyes.

Barret nods, "Yeah, you know, going back to new tech for a while. Being so close to home. I was wondering about my sister, Sandra. After that list and hearing that stuff about the perversion in the company. Maybe I should give her a call later." Barret says, looking back to Issac. "On another note, you really don't have any limits when it comes to girls do you?"

"What's that supposed to mean?" Issac looked over sharply.

Barret snickers, "Oh nothing. You've got a good future with girls though. Just remember to keep it tight if you can. This might turn into a war, so just do what you can and I wouldn't try getting to caught up if you can't help it."

"You're dodging. Whatever. I get the job comes first. Girls are distractions. (I need one of those, otherwise....)" Issac looks off.

"If you're going to go girl crazy, I think it would be wise if you would be to find one girl you can hold onto. I'm honestly jealous you can go after anyone you see and not bat an eye." Barret says, folding his arms.

"That's deep." Issac had glanced over, but leaned back into his pillow, staring to the ceiling. "(A special girl... maybe that could clear my head... Maybe just having friends could ease the pain..)." Issac said, closing his eyes.

Barret nods smiling. "I may not know what you're thinking most of the time, but even so, I got your back, Issac."

"(He has no idea...) Thanks man." Issac replied. "So, about your sister."

"No." Barret says, without hesitation.

"Fine fine." Issac laughed, keeping his hands behind his head. "(I do wonder about Sion though. I did have to lie to her about who I was. I wonder how'd she'd take it? Man. I need to stop thinking about her...)"

Barret yawns a little, "I think we should rest up a little. I'll give my sister a call in the morning."

"Right. Night man." Issac replied, also yawning.
