32 Sacrifice!

" You stupid beast, if I were in my prime, you would be mincemeat any time soon." Dan wasn't able to withstand any more damage. He had never felt this weak. Even when he lost his power, he didn't feel as soft as he was now.

Dan kept on fighting even though he was at the end of the line. He couldn't understand how there was so much difference between rank one and rank two magical beasts.

Dan was born with the cultivation of devil core formation, so he never experienced small cultivation levels. He used to think that they were just weakling who couldn't compare to him no matter what, however, now he understood that the real weakling was him.

Dan let out a light sigh as he felt his chest filling up with bitterness.

"I guess you have learned your lesson," Suddenly, the devil king inside of him said as he saw Dan in a pinch. If Dan could see Asura face, he would have realized that his action shook Asura considerably. It could have been because of Dan's ability or it could have been because of his dedication.

" Why are you speaking? You said that I had to rely on myself," Dan wasn't convinced that Devil king would help him. Moreover, he was starting to realize that he was relying too much on Devil king, so he wanted to do something by himself.

" I see, guess I will keep my mouth shut then," Devil king said as he saw Dan having an attitude.

"Wait, I didn't mean it that way. It's just that I have been relying on you so much that I don't if I can handle things in the future by myself," Dan said hurriedly.

" Don't worry? I won't help you directly. I will only unlock some of your ability. Although that also means that I will not be able to help you for quite a while," Devil King sighed as he suddenly flew out of Dan's consciousness space and drifted out in the wind.

"Hiss!" The snake wiped at Dan with its tail. The attack sent Dan flying a few hundred meters away. Even though Dan had a strong body, he couldn't help but cough blood due to the injuries inflicted upon him.

However, he didn't care about it once he saw a white shadow suddenly come out from his body.

"Why are you outside?"

Dan was terrified all of a sudden. He didn't expect Devil king to come out suddenly. Even if Devil lord- Asura were to come out personally, he couldn't assist Dan in any way. He was but a weak soul at the moment.

"Boy! if you die, I die, so just accept whatever I am about to give you right now," Suddenly the devil king's soul split into two. One of the section got inside of Dan while the other slowly condensed to form a dense white ball. The thick white ball had a soft texture and seemed as though it contained all of the energy in the world.

"Boy! I will be honest. I have been helping you because of the promise I made with your mother, but now, since I been hanging out with you, I am influenced by your nature and became kindful. The few days with you were fun. Although you were stupid, you didn't play any scheme or any backstabbing, even though you knew that you could have used me to strength yourself."

Devil king knew that it Dan was kind and warm-hearted. Although he was ruthless sometimes, it was because of his enemies.

Dan had a sturdy soul. His soul was stronger than even current Devil king.

Devil king was living in Dan's soul conscious, so of course, he knew that he could have been killed by Dan multiple times.

If Dan wanted to, he could have taken Devil king's soul power and transformed it into his power. It would have an even better effect than the earth petal or even the water petal. However, Dan didn't do that - Dan didn't take Asura's life.

It was because Dan could feel a connection with Asura, same way Asura did with Dan. As time passed, they thought each other as friends, even though they didn't say to each other.

" Since you trusted me, I will give you something as a reward," Devil king's voice faded as the dense white ball slowly approached Dan.

"Whoosh"

All of a sudden, without giving Dan any chance, the white pill-like sphere entered his mouth. The pill seemed to change into a different form of energy as it went down his throat.

As soon as it did, a great feeling overtook Dan's senses. He suddenly felt alive. His blood boiled with viscosity and seemed to almost explode from absorbing too much energy. The energy didn't touch his meridians at all. All of them focused on his blood and didn't form any connection with the spirit energy.

"Ahhhh" Dan felt great pain as the energy washed over his bones and blood.

Clang!

A seal seemed to have suddenly been broken as the pill took effect.

" I never confessed the secret your mother told me about you. She told me that your blood contains the secret that will transform the whole of the spirit world! Don't worry about me - I was meant to be dead a long time ago. Its only because of your mother my regret is gone, so I will give you this gift as compensation..."

Devil king's voice suddenly stopped. It seemed as though the source of the sound was gone. Devil king was gone. Dan felt both physical and mental pain as the course of action took place before his very eyes.

Although the time he spent with Devil king wasn't long, it was undoubtedly the most valuable experience for Dan.

Dan was fourteen years old, so it was tough for him to control his emotion. Although his strength was unfathomable before, his character wasn't.

He wasn't able to adapt to the devil world nor was he able to adapt to the spirit world, so he thought that Asura would help him whenever he was in any dangerous situation. However, the Devil king couldn't help him anymore. Dan's tear fell as he thought about the Devil King's sacrifice.

"Hiss!"

The Horned python didn't seem to be a bit emotional. It charged at Dan with the fastest speed possible.

"Bang!" The attack jolted Dan and threw him off his position. Even though that was the case, Dan didn't look at the Horned Python.

Dan didn't know what to do anymore. He felt empty. Although there was a tremendous amount of energy inside his body, he didn't do anything with them. However, unknown to him, his blood seemed to have changed. It colors changed from red to golden. Along with the color, the blood seemed to have evolved from being normal to something grand.

"Why did this happen? It's all my fault. I was too confident in myself; I was the one who was reckless!" Dan shouted as guilt washed over his body.

Clang!

As he kept on blaming himself, his blood oozed out with light.

"Die!" Dan's body glowed as a fire blazed upon his eyes. His movements seemed to be more agile than before. His body strength tripled as his blood circulation increased. His blood seemed to be providing his with energy as they kept on burning like lava.

Dan could feel his body turning into molten lava, but he didn't care; he charged at the python with reddened eyes.

"Air thrust!" Dan attack the python with all his energy. Even though his body was running dry, he didn't care. He kept on attacking the vicious python with all his might.

Thinking that Dan was weak, the python looked at the attack with disdain. Without carrying about the attack, the snake charged forward.

"Swish!" The attack landed on the snake, however, contrary to snake's expectation, the attack cut its body in half.

The python looked at Dan in disbelief as it was about to drown in hell.

However, Dan was unsatisfied as he kept on cutting it in more pieces as he said, "You ain't gonna die so easily!"

He kept on attacking until he passed out from exhaustion.
