28 A crush?

" Hello, are you okay?"

"Phew" Feng looked at Dan's stunned expression and couldn't help but smile a little.

As she looked at him, nostalgic glim of light flashed on her eyes as she glanced at Dan once again. She thought at once, ' Long was correct, he indeed does look like him'

"Ah! Sorry, I was thinking about something," Dan had never seen such beauty apart from his mother. Devil world was occupied by devils who cared mostly about strength, rather than appearance. They wouldn't even mind being ugly for the rest of their lives if they got a chance to increase their power.

Owing to the fact that he rarely saw any beautiful female devils, he was more than just stunned upon seeing Feng.

"Anyway, did Long tell you anything about me?" Feng chucked as she said those words while trying not to laugh. She seemed to be lightened up by the way Dan spoke.

"He told me that you have no favorable opinion on the city lord," Dan wasn't sure what to say to her. His mind was blank, so he said those words without putting any thoughts onto them.

"Ow! Are you dumb? You shouldn't speak of him in the master's presence."

Xu, the loli by the side, couldn't stand Dan's presence. She seemed to be annoyed no matter what he did. As soon as he mentioned the city lord, she was enraged.

"Sorry... I didn't mean to," Dan suddenly realized what he had just said. Thinking about how he had been told by Long, not to speak about the City lord, he felt like knocking himself out.

"Whistle!"

Dan suddenly felt like dark clouds were around him looming as the atmosphere stiffened; it felt like the ice prison found in the devil world.

He looked ahead to see the icy aura radiating out of Feng. Xu's charming face abruptly changed in expression, as she shouted: "Hide!"

Figuring out Xu's intention, Dan quickly stood in a defensive stance.

Feng's cold eyes glanced at Dan and seemed to be melting as light once again gleamed.

"It..'s.. al..right," Feng slowly took in a deep breath, as her maddened expression turned natural once again. She seemed to have calmed herself down after releasing all the ferocious aura held within her body.

Dan slowly wiped off the sweat beads hanging on his forehead. He suddenly realized that the charming beauty in front of him was no ordinary individual. She was probably a high ranked false immortal or maybe even a true immortal.

" I am sorry. I didn't know he was such a dreadful entity for you," Dan was shocked. He couldn't have imagined such an outburst of emotion and power just because of a title. He wondered what would have happened if he said the city lord's real name.

" It's fine for now. Anyway, we have to discuss him sooner or later," Feng said with cold expression before concluding, "However, try to resist yourself from calling him too many times; I have even injured myself after hearing his title."

Dan nodded like a chicken and replied, " Right, I will do that. Anyhow, I was looking for medicines such as blood replenishing pill, body hammering pill. The pill that heals immortal's wounds."

" Xu, Go and wait in the third floor for a while. I have something to discuss with him," Feng said as she directed her eyes to Xu. She was clearly stating that it was a private matter which Xu didn't have to concern herself with.

" Alright," Disappointed, Xu walked u the stare while glaring at Dan with fierce eyes. Occasionally, she looked at Feng and sighed.

A minute later.

" Don't mind her. She always likes to cling by my side. Inside, she is sweet and humble," Feng said as her eyes drifted across Dan's facial features. She could feel marvelous spiritual aura hidden inside his body. His pores seemed to be radiating them off spontaneous, although Dan himself didn't realize.

" I can see that she cares a lot about you. That is something I don't see from people in my country. I must say, overall, she is one of the nicest people I have met in my life," Dan said as his honesty radiated out of his pure eyes. He was talking about the devil world instead of the so-called 'country'.

" Sigh, you two are exactly alike. Both, so pure-minded and easy to deceive, " Feng's eyes watered as her eyes showed signs of nostalgia.

"Both alike."

Tears started to slowly drip down the floor as she studied Dan's facial feature once again. Her face reddened, and her mouth opened and closed due to confusion

"Brother." Feng's fragile figure was starting to tremble as she glanced at him. She seemed to be distracted due to Dan. It could be due to Dan facial feature, or it could be because Dan had a particular type of emotion, but whatever it was, it led Feng to see a shadow of her brother within him.

"Brother?" Dan couldn't believe what he had heard; he almost passed out due to confusion.

" Feng senior, are you alright?" Dan asked as he nearly passed out. He thought he had a crush on her, but before he could fully process and contemplate on it, he was called a brother. That sentence was like a blade being pierced through his heart.

" Sorry, I still haven't asked for your name," Feng's brain was starting to buzz due to the coincidence happening again and again.

"My name's Dan," Dan said as he studied Feng's reaction this time. He was even more shocked as he saw her trying to gasp for air.

"Is it really Dan?" She trembled more and more, perhaps due to excitement or maybe due to uncertainness.

"So, can I get the medicine?" Dan was starting to get impatient, and at the same time, he was also scared. He was restless as Yue needed the medicine while he was frightened because he didn't know if Feng was sane anymore.

Previously, he felt like he had a crush on her, but now he was uncertain. He now felt like he should try to avoid her at all cost.

"Yeah, I have some. I have a blood replenishing pill, body hammering pill, blood damping herb, and Earth petal. Which one do you want?" Feng calmed down as she saw Dan acting all scared. She was trying to stable her emotion as business was important for her dying clan.

" I will take the blood hmm... wait did you say Earth petal?" Dan sucked in cold air as he heard what she had. He was dumbstruck as he didn't expect to find Earth petal so quickly. He was planning on visiting the so-called Magical forest of the death to search for it, but now all the trouble was gone. It was right before his eyes.

"Yeah," Feng wasn't surprised by Dan's reaction as she smiled sweetly.

"Can you give me two blood replenishing pill and two Earth?" Dan was stating to droll upon thinking that he could further progress in his cultivation. If it were before, he wouldn't care about strength, but once he experienced the counterattack made by the body hammering cultivator at the city lord mansion, he started to realize, strength was everything.

If he didn't have enough strength, he would die in an alleyway without him even knowing.

"OK, but that will cost you fifty thousand gold coins, do you have that much?" Feng reddened eyes looked at Dan, unsure whether or not he could afford it.

"What fifty thousand?" Dan said as nearly blanked out.
