26 Holy yang body

"Yue!"

Dan's hands went stiff as he dashed and grabbed hold of the little girl. He could feel the weak body in his bare hand. Her skin was dry as a desert, and her spirit was like a burning candle. It seemed to be fading as time passed.

"What should I do?" Dan panicked as soon as he checked Yue's body condition. She was at the end of the string- she could die at any given moment. It seemed as though she didn't have any energy inside of her tiny body. The only thing he could sense from her was despair and helplessness.

"Idiot! I guess I have to help you again, " The Devil king seemed to be a bit annoyed by the girl's situation.

Although he was called the Asura, in actuality, he had a very weak heart when it came to the weak organism. He couldn't help but not attack the weak ones, even if it was for his personal benefit. Moreover, magical beasts were sometimes spared by him, however, that was only if they were weaker than him.

"Someone used the blood essence extraction method on her. Only mysterious races such as bone race, green-eyed race, and dark elf use such method. Even among them, only a few could use it.

"As she has lost a lot of blood, you might have to give her some of your own blood. A bit of blood essence might make it better."

Asura was Devil king after all. He had profound knowledge which rivalled Lord of different races. Dan could tell that Asura was more of a bookworm than a fighter.

"Drip!"

As soon as Devil king finished his sentence, Dan went ahead and cut the centre of his palm. Blood started to drip down slowly. It landed on Yue's mouth and seemed to be absorbed by her. As more blood started to pour down, a bit of her original colour started to return to her face. Meanwhile, Dan's body started to shiver due to loss of blood.

"Stop!"

Devil king screamed he saw the situation escalate. He seemed to be a bit baffled by the little change in Yue's body condition.

Dan closed his wound as soon as he heard Asura. He was a bit confused but he could guess what Asura was baffled about.

Asura, once he was done being stunned, asked Dan to take out some blood from Yue.

He looked at it deeply for a couple of seconds.

"Her body. It's not ordinary. It's the holy yang body, moreover, it's a pure holy body, " Devil king seemed to be shocked after analysing Yue's blood.

"What's a holy yang body?" Dan wasn't impressed, rather, he was concerned. He was worried that Yue caught a strange disease.

"Holy yang body! A physical body posing the almighty yang power in their veins. They can evaporate the sea at a thought and kill the gods with a swipe. That's the legend about the holy body. They are the fearsome individuals which even primordial gods have a tough time fighting against. However, that was only if they were at the maturity state."

"Whoa!"

Dan wasn't sure what to do expect gasp in astonishment. He had never heard about such bodies in the devil world. It could have been because there was nothing 'pure' in such a place.

"Idiot! Stop being surprised and run... I could sense someone strong heading towards this direction about an hour ago, maybe now, he is less than a mile away, Hurry up! " Devil king shouted as the toll from being around Dan hit him in his head.

"Ohya! Ohya! You still here."

As soon Devil king was done with his lecture, a mature, yet powerful voice echoed throughout the inky room. It sounded similar to an arrogant person trying to preserve the situation.

"Run, " A change of thoughts broke out within Dan's mind as the voice resounded in his ears.

"Why can't I use my legs, " Dan tried to run away while carrying Yue, however, before he could even lift up his leg, a powerful and domineering force stopped him.

"Sigh, you are one heck of a monster. To think that you could defeat my disciple in a sword battle. Guess, I will have to kill another genius. Ah! Unfortunate!" The owner of the voice was quite full of himself. He had already thought that he had won without even lifting up his fingers.

"Easurasshu!" A sudden attack from the room as Dan tried to locate the owner of the voice.

Several sword attacks rained upon not only him but also Yue. Seeing that he couldn't run away from the attack, he wrapped himself around Yue.

"Swish! Swish!"

The attack poured upon Dan like heavy raindrops.

"Is that all you have got, City lord!"

Dan's bloody figure got torn up more and more as his body got pierced through in different location by the sword strikes. However, not one voice of complaint came from Dan as he stood still and took all the attacks for Yue.

"You are right about one thing- That was my all but I am not the city lord, " The owner of the calm voice said with a tone of sympathy. He seemed to have already been prepared to battle Dan as he didn't stop his attack.

"Swish!"

More attacks continued to pour upon Dan, nevertheless, Dan kept on holding his ground even though he was at the end of the string.

"Seems like this is the end!" Dan said to himself as he reflected on what he had done wrong.

"Calm down! He's only a body hammering practitioner. Try to use 'that' technique again and see if it works this time." The Devil king didn't panic one bit. Maybe because he wouldn't suffer the same fate as Dan or maybe because he didn't care about dying in the backwater of the world, or it could be that he had confidence in Dan.

"But! I don't think I can perform the technique in the state I am. Moreover, it states that I only have one in a million chance to make it work.

"No buts. Didn't you say you wanted to rescue that little girl and don't you want to see your mother again!" Devil King's voice exploded In Dan's ear as he was about to give up.

"Maybe you are right! Maybe I have a chance!" Dan said as he looked at the attacks before him. He reassured himself after realising that he had some spiritual energy inside his body. He was happy that he listened to Devil king's speech about recovering himself in peak times, even if it meant it was a bother.

"Ah! Such guts. Only if you weren't against my brother. I could have invited you to our sect. However, what has been done can't be undone. You can only leave from here as a soul." The owner of the voice exclaimed in surprise as he saw Dan's guts with his very own eyes.

The attacks got more aggressive as the owner of the voice decided to bend it once and for all.

"Bang!" The air sword slashes staked upon Dam but he continued to gather more and more spiritual energy inside his body.

"NOW! Stack all the energy in this one escape route."

"Crane Dance!"

"Third step!"

"Merging with the void!" Dan's body turned translucent as he operated the technique. It wasn't just him, but also the little girl who started to merge with her surrounding.

"No!" The mysterious person hiding inside the room seemed to have bewildered by the changes made by Dan. To counter Dan's plans, he attacked Dan with his full power which previously didn't unleash.

"Too late!" Dan said as his bloody body melted away from the room with Yue.
