21 Cultivating the technique

"Wicked kindness. Quite a good name, " Dan praised the book's name whilst remembering all the contents hidden inside the book.

Previously, when the devil king explained the uses and the advantages of the wicked kindness, he was so fascinated by it that he couldn't wait for a chance to cultivate it.

"I will rest f-" The devil king's voice shuttered as he struggled to remain conscious. The arc of thunder that had struck upon his body was no simple lighting. It consisted of everything that could destroy a physical body of a great demon. It was a kind of a law. If one didn't follow that certain law, they would be severely punished as a result.

Whoosh

The white soul flew toward Dan and once again fused with him. Dan could sense exhaustion and stress when he focused his attention on Devil king's body who was inside his consciousness space.

He lightly sighed with guilt, however, after a few minutes he got over it.

"I have to save Yue or I will live my life with regret." Dan emotionally said to himself before activating the technique with his fingers.

He made a few hand signs and a mysterious cherry-like colour small dragon with damp black eyes began to come off him. Slowly, a second one came following the first one. This one was as white as snow and had pure yellow eyes.

Finally, a third one came out. However, this one couldn't be seen through naked eyes. Instead, it could only be sensed through the divine sense- a sense that belonged to every true immortal and another organism at that rank.

Ommmmmm

As he kept of revolving the technique and applied the hand sign for the first stage, a tsunami-like spirit energy began to surge into his body. As it did, the puny dragons started to pump up a bit. They looked more spirited and more detailed.

As the spirit energy gushed into his body, Dan too began to feel the side-effects along with the benefit. The benefit included: the healing process and extra spiritual energy. The disadvantage was that it overstressed every part of Dan's body and soul.

He felt like he was being beaten up repeatedly and as he changed his hand sign, he felt more and more tarnished.

He was trying to engulf all the spiritual energy in the room which resulted in many failures and pain. The pain was so unbearable that he nearly passed out.

Along with bringing the pain, the failure process of absorbing spiritual power brought benefit such as remodelled his body.

He struggled to break past his limit for hours and hours before finally: BOOM

To his surprise, before long, his attempt to infuse its power into every fibre of his being was followed with a resounding success.

Boom!

There was an explosive force within his body, like a volcano on the verge of erupting. Dan felt his entire body burning up as the spirit energy continued to explode within his body. His body had once again stepped up a level. A level from mortal to immortal.

Swish

The dragons moved back into his body with a face full of disappointment.

Soon after one of the process was over, and he was done being taken his body to the limit, the spiritual energy inside him exploded creating a wave of different energy which attached to his inner veins, organs and medians.

He knew he had stepped onto the door of immortality as he finished the torturous process.

"Haaa"

After nearly dying from being tortured, again and again, he felt a great pleasure wash over his body as it stopped.

As the spiritual aura blazed it displayed the glimmering light which faded when Dan lost his devil power.

In a gas state, the spiritual power gushed in and joined with Dan's muscle.

He felt more refreshed and slightly more powerful. His potent aura washed over the floor and swept off all the dust around his zone.

"Amazing! So it's this kind of feeling! Going from a mortal to immortal... I didn't know it was going to be anything as pleasurable as this!"

Dan slowly opened his eyes. They gleamed with such brilliance that even the once dark room began to light up. His tightly closed lips opened and released a sigh of pleasure as he felt the vigorous spirit energy circulating inside around his body. He checked his body to feel any internal difference.

After he had cultivated the first section of the basic stage from the Wicked kindness, his entire body transcended from mortality. However, he still wasn't fully an immortal, rather a semi-immortal

"Although I was millions of times stronger as a devil, I didn't feel this refreshed and sensible. Is it because of the technique?"

Dan felt his pores slowly open and close as he inhaled and exhaled the air around his surrounding.

He could tell that he was as strong as Yime if it came to spiritual power. The stage was called Qi condensation realm as that was what would happen- the spiritual power would condense.

Although Yime wasn't an immortal, he had peak martial art technique which contained some basic information similar to an immortal technique.

All peak martial techniques were a replica of the immortal technique, although they were downgraded by a lot.

If one truly wanted to step ahead and go onto the true path of immortal, he would have to train the immortal technique before the age of twenty. However, Dan was different. He needed to find and ingest the earth petal at the least to turn into an immortal.

When he was a devil, his mortal body was many leagues above even true immortal such as Yan, however, since he went through dimension crack and after fighting with the flood Dragon, it weakened to the point that it was no different from mortal's physical body.

Nevertheless, after cultivating an immortal technique, his body was back in good shape and would function much better than mortals.

Only after eating a heavenly treasure would Dan be able to recover fully.

"I should train one of these techniques, " Dan said as he took out some of the manuscripts from his pouch.

He knew he hadn't truly steeped in the way of immortal. Only his soul, mentality and body was at that stage. What remained was the main point of cultivation- the spiritual energy. Without spiritual energy, he couldn't cast any technique or strengthen himself at tough times.
