15 Let you go?
"Who are you?" As soon as the frightening voice entered the dragon's ear, it's mind numbed and its body shook. It came to halt as soon as it saw the figure.
"Immortal lord!" The white soul at the background looked at the shining body coming out of Dan with shock. It tried to hide its body due to fear, but it couldn't escape the eyes of the shining figure.
"Was it you?"
The figure glanced at the devil king with a look of hatred. Slowly, the figure transformed into a slender looking female as the hatred lasted on her face.
A beautiful goddess with creamy, milk coloured skin that had a slight tan on some parts and a near flawless complexion came before the view of the creature on the forest.
Her hair fell in golden ringlets down her back and over her shoulders, flowing as smoothly as the Nile river in the wind. Her eyes were as blue as the mixture between the early morning sky and a pure saltwater lake. She had a light, brown beauty mark on her left cheek, an inch or so below her eye.
There were no words which could describe her beauty.
If one were to take a close look at her face, they would realise that she had similar features to Dan's mother, although there were differences which seemed to be natural.
The dragon and the devil king were dazzled by her beauty although they were of different race. To them, her body features were something they couldn't even dream of admiring.
"Immortal lord, you do realise that devils aren't only the mortal enemies of the demon race, but also the nemesis of the human race. If the immortal emperors were to hear about it, you will be immediately executed!" The dragon was intimidated at first but after a while, it realised it had the advantage of knowledge and cunningness, so he decided to use it against her.
"Of course I do. However, you, a puny snake doesn't have to remind me what's right and what's wrong." The goddesses gently lifted her small wand which was previously tied to her slim waist.
As she gently stroked it through the air, a gentle gust of wind started to gather around the flood dragon.
"Swish!"
"How dare you! Bi-" Just as the dragon was about to finish its sentence, the horn at the top of its head started to get slashed up.
"Stop what are you doing?: The dragon was taken by fear. Anxious as it was, it started to regret its decision.
"Chop! Chop!"
Soon after, its limbs started to be victimised by the power of the small typhoon.
"Ommmm"
As the dragon was about to pass out, it activated the holy treasure of the demonic race- the demon emperor orb.
"Boom!"
The two attacks stopped each other from advancing.
The power of the orb was mind-numbing. It could easily stop the attack from immortal lord's projection.
Although it was a projection, it still carried strength similar to a peak level devil king. To actually block that type of attack, even a normal devil king would have to risk his life.
"Oh, so there's where your confidence comes from." The immortal exclaimed as she saw the power of the orb.
"Let's see how you handle this," the immortal said as she took out a necklace from her bosom.
"Immortal emperor's chain" the devil king had a slight change in expression upon taking the glance of the necklace. It was in an awkward situation currently. If it were to run away, it may die at the hands of the immortal's and if it were to stay, it might still get killed by the immortal.
The immortal was getting a little impatient upon seeing her attack getting blocked. She knew there was no end to this unless she did something. Therefore, to end it swiftly, she decided to use her own holy treasure.
"Sorry for being rude earlier. Can you please pardon my mistake." The flood dragon hurriedly asked for forgiveness as he saw the treasure being loaded with the immortal's power.
The immortal was taken aback upon hearing the flood dragon's response. She seemed to have acknowledged his apologise as she put the necklace back to her bosom. This action of hers surprised both the dragon and the devil. They were amazed as they didn't expect such over-bearing character to suddenly stop her action.
"I give you one of the two choices then. You either give me the demonic orb and I promise not to touch you or you can pick the second option- I will just send you to hell."
Contrary to the dragons expectation, the immortal let it decide if it wanted his life to end or give the holy object it was guarding for its entire lifetime.
"Haha. I see what you are after. You want to take the treasure and make a fool out of me. You have to know this before you kill me: the demonic emperor will come for your life if they sense the orb on you." the dragon was able to see the road to death. Although giving the orb could save its life from the immortal's rage, it wouldn't save it from the demonic emperors' wrath.
"You don't have to worry about the demonic emperors. All of them are sealed in a place where they can't see the daylight forever." the immortal explained the reasoning behind her desire in a simple manner.
"What? When did this happen?" The dragon was dumbstruck upon knowing the truth.
He couldn't believe what he had heard. For demonic emperors to be sealed by someone meant there were a lot of changes going around the whole world. And, for it to be not part of it and not know the truth left the dragon sad and a bit happy.
In spite of being a demon, it didn't have an ounce of loyalty for the demonic emperor. All it had against them was a type of negative emotion which was close to anger.
"It happened a million years ago." The immortal replied in a simple manner. However, her voice did contain sympathy for the dragon. For it be stuck in a place where no daylight shined for million years and still survive was something that deserved a round of applause.
" So are you giving it to me or not!" the immortal said, but this time with no emotion. She clearly didn't let sympathy affect her decision.
"There...you go," The dragon didn't see any point in refusing her. He knew he would immediately be dead if he were to anger her to the extreme. So, as a prideful coward, it decided to give it to her with no resistance whatsoever.
After nodding to her, the dragon looked at the barrier with a resolute look.
Its expression showed that it was finally able to free itself from the dark past.
It moved close to the barrier and tried to open it, however, before he could fully own it, a purplish electricity zapped it inside out. It looked with disbelief at its back to discover the immortal swinging her wand.
"But, you..." the dragon struggled to understand the situation. Before it could question the immortal, its eyes lost their colours and its heart stopped.
"It's my son you harmed. What do you expect?"
