12 Flood Dragon

"Howl"

As Dan was fascinated by the dog's presence, the dog started to transform from its cute self to an ugly beast.

Its black skin turned red and its soft fur started to serrate.

It's leg started to quake and its mouth started to shudder; it looked ready to attack. As it was about to charge forward, its nose twitched.

"Woof"

Unexpectedly, the dog jumped backwards and bared its teeth against Dan, instead of attacking. Its dark pupil turned scarlet red as it continued sniffing Dan's scent.

It's expression changed greatly and the savage smile on its face disappeared.

From its look, one could tell it had great hatred and fear towards Dan, although the reason was unknown.

Dan seeing this, released his aura as strongly as he could to scare off the dog.

The dog however, continued to sniff and as it did, it's expression changed. It started to be a bit intimidate yet the hatred radiating off its eyes overshadowed the fear.

"Howl" the dog raised its head and produced a cry after which, it charged towards Dan.

Dan dodged with little to no effort but the vicious creature didn't give up and it produced an even louder cry and attacked Dan repeatedly.

It attacked without wasting a breath.

"Swish"

All of a sudden, a rustle came from the nearby dead bushes and several vicious figures started to creep towards Dan's back.

They waited for the right chance and then striker all at once at the right moment.

"Buzz"

Their movements were swift, however before their claws could even touch Dan, Dan had shifted his position with the space law.

He moved about a mile away from them, but he could still see their eyes targeting him. Dan wondered how these strong creatures were popping out all of a sudden.

Dan was frightened as he glanced at the pack. There were not only dogs but also wolves. They were mixed with the pack, which in turns scared Dan even more.

"Sixty-seven death!"

"Reincarnating cycle!"

Dan finally had enough so he used a bit of his devils' origin power and went all out.

His palm shined with bright lights as he threw it into the empty air.

As soon as he stopped, time seemed to have frozen. The air around the palm shook and darkness clouded it. Several black tentacles started to whip out of the darkness and dozens of them flew at high speed and attacked the pack.

It travelled so fast that even the wolves were left with no time to react.

"Boom!"

One of the attacks landed upon the wolf.

As soon as it landed on the wolf, its bodies exploded into pieces. Not only that, it's soul got pulled by the black tentacles and the tentacles further strengthened.

"Boom!"

Catastrophe seemed to have struck the world as the lands around the wolves cracked and the wolves themselves suffered at the hands of Dan's.

"Howl!"

The wolves cried desperately but their reaction evoked no emotional response from Dan.

Dan had varieties of training in the devil world and killing was part of it, so he was calm and collective when it came to saving his life and killing another organism.

However, even though he was thinking calmly, his heart was beating faster than it ever did in his life. After all, all the training procedures in devils world was supervised by his mother, so there was not many harmful activities involve, but now, he was in life-death situation; he couldn't take one wrong step or his life would be a goner.

Moreover, he never liked to kill another organism but currently, he had no choice; either he died or they died.

"Since you have committed evil, you can die," Dan said with a sigh soon after.

"Howl!"

Finally, every last of the dog died as the result of Dan's effort.

"Finally over!" Dan exclaimed.

"flap! flap!!"

As Dan was relieved, he heard a flapping sound which switched on his near-dead brain.

"Who is there?" Dan questioned as he looked around. However, he couldn't see anyone even with his supervision.

"If you ain't coming out, I will leave"

Dan was a bit aggravated by the sound, so he wanted to get out of the forest as soon as possible.

"Dark Phoenix!"

"First order!"

In a brief moment, Dan had travelled a few miles and was in front of the barrier. He was surrounded by dark flames and seemed to be ready to attack.

"Second-order!"

All of the dark flames surrounding him flared and soon turned into several tiny fireballs and attacked the barrier with as much force as possible.

Nevertheless, the barrier didn't shatter and remained in its place. Although it seemingly looked as though it was at its limit.

"No devils are allowed to leave after they enter our holy ground!" a mysterious, deep voice travelled throughout the forest.

This time, a figure also appeared along with the sound. The figure didn't seem human-like from the shadow it was projecting from the darkness. Dan concentrated hard and could see a serpent-like structure being formed around the dark light.

"I, the descendant of the demonic dragon emperor will cleanish the world by killing all the devils, " the figure shouted out as loudly as it could.

Large numbers of skulls started to gather around the figure and as it did, the red skulls started to suck the dark light until the figure's body was exposed to the world to see.

The body was as big as a mountain. The body's figure was similar to a dragon, although it also shared a bit of resemblance to rhinoceros; its head was a mixture of dragon and rhino.

"Since you are here, why go?" The dragon said in a deep voice and a smirk formed in its face as it saw Dan in his last straw.

"Who are you?" Dan was nervous upon facing the creature in front of him. He didn't expect to meet such a dangerous creature in such a tiny forest.

"I am formal king of the demonic serpent- the flood dragon shadow. As a demon, it's my duty to slaughter every last being of devils, so be prepared." the dragon said as he looked at Dan with playfulness.

"Die!"

Out of dragon's expectation, Dan attack with his nirvanic flame while it was unprepared.

"Boom!"

The attack landed on the dragon's body and its body got covered by dark flames

However, before Dan could show his excitement, the dragon released a mighty roar and spoke in a deep voice, " Is that all you got?"
