9 True immortals! False immortals!

"Yeah, I wanna be an angel, " The girl's eyes shined brightly due to the excitement.

Her breathing got disorientated at the thought of being an angle.

"So...will you be my disciple." The old man couldn't believe what he heard. He was prepared to take any actions to take her under his wings but, against his expectation, she easily accepted his offer. Moreover, she looked quite exicted.

"We shouldn't make any rash decision." Dan who was standing next to Yue spoke out, even though his own expression betrayed his comment.

His eyes were showing the thrust for something. His mouth was drooling. He was fiercly looking at the sword immortal. It was as though he was going eat the old man up.

The old man's back started to sweat from Dans stare. He felt like a naked woman in front of 'hungry' man.

"Sir...Are you okay!" the sword immortal was bashful after being started upon, so he spoke out. Even he couldn't believe he was embarassed after being stared by another man, after all he was one of the overlords at the immortal region. And, what overlord would be bashful from a stare.

"Mmm..., yeah, what technique did you use to change into that thing called a cat."

Dan was extremely impressed by the technique performed by the sword immortal, so he wanted to know more about it. He didn't get to see those in the devil world, so it was quite interesting to him.

"It's called a body transforming technique. Only people at the stage of mind transforming or a higher stage can use it. Furthermore, it takes a year to get a basic understanding of the technique. Moreover, only people with a calm and untainted mind, free of any evil spirit will be able to go to the second stage."

The old man was left helpless before Dan, so he spouted out mostly everything he knew about the technique.

The technique was something his ancestor left behind for him and he was usually quite viligent while talking about the 'body transforming technique' as it could trigger the convertous nature of evil immortals. However, when Dan questioned him about the technique, he didn't hesitate to give most of the details about the technique.

His experience told him - Dan was several times stronger than him and that Dan could crush him anytime he wanted.

After a moment, the old guy couldn't take it anymore, "Sir...You can have the first part of the technique. It might help you in near future." and after he was done, he simply wiped his ring with his fingers, and a manuscript the sixe of a thousand page text book came before Dan and Yue's sight.

He gave him the technique, not because he was feeling generous, but rather because of his immortal instinct. His instict told him Dan would keep bothering him until he gave the technique.

"Yeah, come here and take this, Yue." the old man wanted to end the conversation with Fan, so he changed the subject. He was scared he would offend Dan, which could lead to demise.

Moreover, he wanted to take her away quickly so Dan wouldn't interfere.

The girl oblivious to the old man's plan steeped forward, "What should I do master?"

The girl had her head low and her eyes high. She was extremely cute yet her eyes blazed with determination, making one's heart melt. She seemed determined to travel the path to become an immortal.

"Yue. I am going to ask you this one last time. Are you willing to be an immortal, a being who will live for cenuturies to come, or are you going to live your life as a mortal, a lower class being who will eventually die in few decades."

The sword immortal slowly made his way towards the girl and asked her a question. After finishing his piece, he waited for her response.

"Yes master. I am willing to be an immortal."

The girl raised her head high as her endering voice echoed through out the mountain. Her eyes flashed towards Dan who was currently holding the manuscript with blank expression.

There was only one thing in her head:'Become strong', and that one thing led her to making her decision.

"Good. Good. Good..."

The immortal had a look of pleasure as he said good three times. He sounded quite content with Yue's response.

"What's mind transforming stage?"

Just as the sword immortal was about to say his fouth 'good', Dan voice sounded in his ears.

The sword immortal's voice shuttered upon hearing those words. He looked at Dan with eyes full of suprises.

"Sorry sir...Did I hear something wrong. You don't know what mind transforming stage is," The guy paused for a moment after saying that and he started to laugh." Hahaha.I must have struck my head hard onto those trees."

"I am serious and you haven't heard anything wrong. What's mind transforming stage?"

Dan embrassing glared at the sword immortal. Of course he didn't know what it meant. He didn't even know the mortal food names even after being introuded to it for twenty days, so how was he going to know what mind tranforming stage meant, a term he hadn't heard in his entire life.

"Sir, why are playing with me?" the sword immortal didn't know whether to laugh or cry. In the spirit world, mind tranforming stage was a term known by every immortal.

Mind transforming stage was the stage between the real and the false immortal.

The immortal system was as follows: the first stage was the body mending stage, the second stage was body hammering stage, and the third stage was mind tranforming stage.

The first two stages made the false immortal who tbey were. These two stages seperated false immortals and mortals. While, third stage seperated the true immortal from the false mmortal.

Only one in hundred false immortals could become a true immortal.

Similarly, wizards had to pass through the same stage. The two body tempering stage and finally the mind transforming stage.

Moreover, only one in thousand junior wizard could become an actual wizard, which showed their rarity.

The city lord and senior Pico themselves were second stage false immortal. Although they were false immortal, they were ten time stronger than peak mortal martial artist like Yime.

"Can you tell me what mind transforming stage is?" Dan couldn't help but become more curious, so at the end he said what was in his head.

The sword immortal was in impression that Dan was a mortal for a moment. However, that thought process ended quickly after replaying the scen in which the the slap had sent him flying.

"Well..."After thinking it through, he started to explain it in depth so he could earn Dan's favour.

After hearing explation from the sword immortal, shock which was hidden inside Dan eyes started to slowly radiate.

"So that's how it is. I am from a different world, so we practise different immortal technique." Dan tried to hide his shock by giving his reason, so his previous statemnt wouldn't confuse the immortal, but, little did he know that, it made the sword immortal even more bewildered than he was before.

Afyer a brief moment, Dan finally had enough.

" Sorry but can I have a look at that cultivation technique of yours." Dan said slyly as sword immortal was in the stage of desperation.
