7 Clueless about direction!
"Pico...You can stop."
Yan couldn't withstand the excuses for his delay. If he came by himself, he might have been able to stop the misunderstanding. He was constantly blaming himself for his mistake.
"I think you should give him a chance."
Dan stood at the very centre of the cottage. He felt the need to say something, so he spoke up for the immortal. After all, he did come from a very far place.
Although in the devil world, a million mile was quite close, it wasn't so for the people in the spirit world, even low level immortal would find it quite a drag. So one could see the struggle the immortal went to get to this village.
In his perspective, that was quite an appreciative thing to do.
Moreover, in the devil world, to become an apprentice of an overlord devil was harder than travelling mountain full of blades. The path was filled with blood and dead bodies, and millions of people died in the quest to become the overlord's disciple, so the little girl could be said to be lucky.
"We might need some time. We will go home and think it through"
The family member couldn't bear the pressure anymore, so they spoke out.
Although it was true all of it wasn't immortal Yan's fault, but he still was the trigger. Going through those rough days weren't easy for them, so they had to steady those feeling before doing anything stupid.
"How about I give you ride to your home."
Dan felt useless, so he expressed his inner feeling out loud.
"Thanks, brother Dan!" the little girl said sweetly.
The little girl couldn't help but love her new found brother. He was the perfect brother she could ever have, although all he did was spent an hour of struggle with them.
"So it should be done by me," Dan replied, feeling a bit validated.
Dan waved his finger across the air and white clouds begin to gather around the Yime family.
The cloud appeared under their foot and floated them up into the air.
"A wizard!"
The golden robed immortal was left petrified upon seeing the scene.
Wizards were rarer compared to immortals. For every hundred immortals, there would be one wizard.
"No wonder!"
Immortal Yan wasn't quite impressed. Compared to Senior Pico, he was steady.
He was the chief head of a scared immortal sect, so he was used to seeing people like Dan.
Wizards were common as a fly for him.
However, he was still surprised by a bit. It wasn't because of Dan's age but from Dan's control over the law. It wasn't easy for one to control water particle and shape it and even change its state of matter. Even a grandmaster wizard would find it difficult to do the same thing as Dan.
He started to look at this youngster with a different eye.
"Whoa!" the little girl couldn't help but have fun.
"You can visit them after 20 days." Dan smiled and said those words to the immortal.
"Alright, Let's go."
As the sword immortal was about to say something, they suddenly disappeared from the spot. They were above the cottage.
"Space wizard"
A sound came from inside the cottage but the Yime family couldn't hear it.
"You are so amazing, brother!" the little girl giggled.
"I forgot to ask, where's your house?"
Dan couldn't help but smile embarrassingly after missing out the important detail.
"It's located at the 6th mountain. It's north-east from this very spot." Yime replied patiently.
Dan had a look of struggle after hearing that.
"Sorry, but, I am very bad with directions, so can you point it out to me."
The Yime family members were astonished after hearing such words from the invincible being.
...
The Yang village, 6th mountain.
A misty cloud could be seen above one of the houses located at the mountain, it floating above, attracting the attention of all the bystanders.
Their mouth was wide open; it was barely hanging on their jaw. Although the 6th mountain wasn't the most popular mountain, it certainly was the most populated one. All the people located at the mountain were starting at the cloud with astonishment, and wide open mouth which created an atmosphere filled with tension.
"Phew...We are finally here." a voice filled with happiness sounded throughout the mountain as the bystander looked at the owner of the cloud. Once it echoed throughout the mountain, the tense atmosphere swiftly disappeared.
The voice came from Dan. His face was currently showing sign of exhausted, which probably came from using the cloud for a long time.
The cloud was in no way ordinary. Even the devil kings(three ranks below devil lord) could only produce one for a month and it dissipated after that.
Although he was exhausted, he wasn't unhappy. Moreover, he was extremely happy, his eyes brows were fluttering like a butterfly from happiness.
In his opinion, travelling the world was an interesting way of spending life.
You get to explore new things and understand the world in a deeper perspective.
"Wow! We are home this quick!"
The little girl couldn't help but exclaim in surprise. Normally, it would take an average adult two days to get to this mountain from the first mountain.
"Well yeah! We were travelling at speed of sound" Dan smugly replied.
"Wow! How did it take half a day then!" the girl couldn't help but curiously look at Dan, simply questioning him.
"Well, it...happens sometimes." Dan couldn't help but shake his head while feeling a bit embarrassed.
The couple at the back had a ghastly expression due to the sudden surprise from Dan question.
Throughout the journey, Dan was struggling to find a pathway to the sixth mountain. They gave him direction and pointed it out hundreds of time. In spite of that, he would still be clueless as to what to actually do.
If someone who had a general understanding of direction were to go at the speed Dan was going, they would have made it to the 6th mountain in half a minute.
'Should we tell him?' Yime's wife muttered quietly. She was mostly straightforward most of the time but now, the young woman couldn't help but ask her husband to share his own opinion.
"I think we rather not speak out," Yime replied while peeking at Dan smiling, He was happily having a silly conversation with his little girl. "Yeah, let's not," he said with a bitter smile.
His wife nodded in approval.
"Let's go inside your house," Dan said while waving his hand.
The group suddenly disappeared from the bystander view. They were nowhere to be seen.
"Brother Dan, teach me the 'mysteriously disappearing technique',"
The girl looked at her loving brother with puppy eyes.
"Well, you might need to become an immortal to be able to learn it." Dan squeezed out a smiled while explaining the requirement to her.
"Alright, I want to be an immortal then, " she paused for a moment before speaking out again. "Please, make me your disciple brother."
Yan couldn't withstand the excuses for his delay. If he came by himself, he might have been able to stop the misunderstanding. He was constantly blaming himself for his mistake.
