100 Chapter 94

Within the darkness, Ai struggled with clawing at the many different vine like shadows trying to wrap around him. His body still Within the fox form as he dodged and jumped, trying to break from the strange place he was currently in. Despite the effort he used to attack, there was no end to the many different twisting shadow vines that lurched at him. The vines that managed to get a good hold on him, easily moved to hold onto the little foxes limbs or waist. Each time one did so, he found it harder to break free then before. Before long, Ai was completely bound by the Shadow Vines, unable to do much else then pant as he hung from the vines.

After a while of being stuck within the vines, Ai realized that they didn't really do anything else. Just holding him in place, his heart slowly starting to slow its pace from the panic he'd been in. His clouded mind moving around to stare into the darkness as to figure out what was happening. Was he back in that damn cage? Could it be that Wang hadn't saved him, and that he'd be tortured again? These thoughts only caused the little fox to panic once more as he struggled to pull free. A low laugh echoing as he did so. "That's not going to work. This isn't real." it stated as a fog of shadows eased closer to the youth.

The words caused Ai to pause, his gaze darting around the darkness as he tried to figure out the source. "Don't worry, this is only in your head little one. It's the only place I could have this conversation after all." the deep voice echoed out. Though Ai's body tensed as if to struggle more, the tone had an odd soothing affect. The conflicting reactions causing Ai to be unsure of what to do. His own thoughts still not understanding what the damn thing was saying. Clearly he was awake! He was…. After thinking for a moment, Ai had flashes of Wang and himself. There was the Secret Realm, searching for herbs…then. A fever?

"That's correct. You are currently recovering for that fever." the voice stated as the vines shifted, moving so that Ai was in a more comfortable position. "Someone gave you the medication, no worries. I don't have much time however." the tone stated, another vine moving to press against Ai's forehead. "You need to be more careful. Easily trusting or forgiving others. Though I suppose that's one of the good things about you." the voice went on, the vine slowly moving in a manor as If it were petting Ai's head. "Though I didn't expect your relationship with Wang. It was not within the collections. This can't really be corrected sadly."

Ai blinked a bit, confused as he tilted his head to the side. "Mm. Yes, you are very innocent still. Even after what that blasted eyesore has done. No worries, I wont abandon you because of a minor eyesore took advantage of you." Despite everything going on, the little Ai couldn't understand any of it. His mind slowly starting to drift as the world around him began to grow fuzzy. "Oh, seems like times almost up. That's fine, soon I'll be able to appear before you. I'm always there, you just can't see me." the voice stated, a low laugh echoing before the vines and shadows disappeared. Ai sat up, his fox form still curled up as he had slept. His gaze darted tot he side, seeing Wang sitting before him. He was unaware of the extra member due to the panic as he swiftly moved to being in Wang's lap.

Wang had been busy watching the new comer, his attention only partly on Ai as he wanted to make sure nothing else went wrong. Mao Xing had simply just began to read some weird scrolls that the damn youth had pulled from his spiritual space. It was as if the Bird guy, or whatever he was had no care that Wang really didn't like him. Then again, it wasn't that odd to see his reaction, since Wang was starting to realize that Mao Xing was much stronger than the male let on. Any time Wang had made a move, even if it were only a small one. So long as it held ill will for the damn thing, the pressure would increase slightly, before any attack Wang had been wanting to make would be completely stopped before it started.

Now that Ai had woken, and was currently nuzzling his small form into his lap, Wang's attention finally moved away from the other youth, a light smile on his lips. "You are okay. That's good, do you feel better?" He stated, running his hands over the youths back. The fever was completely gone. The small fear he had from losing Ai to a sickness slowly fading as well. Wang raised his gaze to stare back at the unwanted youth who still rubbed in the wrong way, however he finally relented some what, giving a faint nod as thanks before turning his attention back to the youth currently in his lap.

Before Wang could react, Ai had shifted back into his human form as he wrapped his arms around Wang's neck, his heart still a bit shaken from the dream. However the fact that it was only a nightmare kept Ai from completely breaking down. His mind unwilling to think that the person in his thoughts were real. "I want a bath." he finally said after pushing those ill feelings from his nightmare aside, his head resting against Wang's shoulder. The larger male gave a low hum as he held Ai, moving some blankets to cover the youth. Wang was only glad that when Ai changed, his robes would appear along with the human body. Other wise he wasn't sure how he'd react.

"Washing up would be good, however don't let him soak to long. Some food and drinking water would be better." Mao Xing stated while sipping on some tea that he'd gotten from who knows where. The voice causing Ai to blink as he turned to stare at the unknown male. His head tilting as he tried to place the face. However before he could focus to much on the stranger in the tent, Wang had already began to quickly move back towards the set up bathing area. "Just wash up okay? I'll be out here. "He said after setting Ai down near the tub of water. As he worked with arrays, Wang was getting closer and closer to setting up proper living areas with functional bathing and other needed things for the bathroom.

Ai dazedly began to wash up, completely unable to remember the nightmare any longer. Letting out a sigh, Ai just focused on washing his body clean from the sweat as well as his hair. Mind distracted when something fluttered passed the corner of his eye. Looking up, Ai peered into the corner of the bathing area, unable to see anything. Biting his lip, the youth quickly picked up his washing, moving to get out and dress as fast as he could. The feeling of being watched growing as he got out of the tub. When he was properly dressed, Ai hurried out of the room only to bump into Wang who was currently guarding the door.

The larger male turning to look at Ai a bit confused as if he hadn't expected the youth to wash up so fast. "You don't need to worry. I was here okay?" he said not realizing why Ai was frighten to begin with. He thought it was because Ai was afraid of the stranger. "You didn't even dry your hair. What if you got a fever again?" he stated while seeing the dripping hair slowly soaking Ai's robe. "Come on, lets get you dried up right, and some food in you." he said holding Ai's hand lightly while leading him towards the living space again, using a make shift towel he'd made to dry Ai's hair as best he could. In the small fire pit area, the pot began to bubble with what seemed to be a stew. "The food should be done soon." Wang stated.

Ai was left feeling a bit numb as he had Wang drying his hair, a stranger sipping tea to the side. What more, there was even some stew? He was sure Wang wouldn't willingly allow a stranger, much less a male around. He'd always be to jealous of that…Right? The youth sitting to the side sipping his tea gave a muted laugh while shaking his head. Ai pressed his lips, a bit confused however turning his attention away. Well, he'd figure it out after food. Wang gave a small smile as he ignored the unwanted youth. "Don't worry. Just relax and eat something warm." he stated moving to get Ai a bowl of soup after he'd finished drying his hair.

"Yeah, just enjoy food for now and relax. We'll discuss everything tomorrow." The youth then stated as he finally stood up. "I'll be taking my leave for the night, be sure not to give him anymore fevers.." the tone was rather bland, however caused Wang to shiver slightly as he turned his gaze away. "I don't need you to tell me that." Wang muttered, before enjoying the meal with Ai. When the youth finished eating, the two headed back to the room, where Wang managed to get Ai to fall asleep again, resting himself. His arms nicely wrapped around Ai, who refused to be apart from the larger male as he slept.
