97 Chapter 91
The next morning woke to find Ai still snuggled to his chest, however the youths fox ears and tails were currently out and showing proudly. He slowly moved slightly, trying to get up so that he could head out. However, when Ai felt the small movement, he gave a light sound before snuggling closer, leg moving to wrap around the others waist as he continued to sleep with his head resting on Wang's shoulder. One of his arms rested along Wang's chest, hand lightly holding onto the fabric of his under robe. It was clear that the youth had no thoughts of letting Wang go, regardless of if he was sleep or not. This left Wang unable to do anything but lay there, his own emotions rather complicated.
Time slowly drifted on before the youth began to stir, the fox tails swaying behind him, as his ears flicked softly. A small hmm escaped him before the out sat up, a hand moving to rub against his eyes before glancing down, seeing a hand wrapped his waist, while his leg was resting over Wang's waist. He blinked a few times, trying to process what was happening however his mind still seemed to be offline. Turning his gaze up, he began to dazedly gaze at Wang's face for a while, head slowly tilting slightly to the side. Wang held his breath, not sure what would happen, was he to be blamed or not? He really wasn't sure.
Before Wang could word his innocents, the youth leaned down to press his soft and plush lips against Wang's for a few seconds before pulling away. "Morning.." he said in a dazed tone before slowly crawling his way out of the bed, moving Wang to do so. He then began to stretch while tiredly making his way out of the room towards the exit of the tent, wanting to wash up. Wang was left shocked on the bed as he froze the moment Ai kissed him. His heart thudding in his chest while he tried to gather his thoughts, the hope of them finally getting back together was rushing through him. However he also didn't want to be wrong. What if Ai was only clouded by sleep and not actually ready to forgive him?! He really didn't know which to it was. The youth hadn't really given much to go off of, his dazed expression causing Wang to worry endlessly.
When he could finally process his limbs to move, Wang hurried out as he quickly went to find Ai, his heart still thundering his his chest as his mouth went dry. He stood just to the side, looking at the youth who was using some water to rinse out his mouth while also washing his face up some. "Ai…" he called out, hesitating just out of reaching stance. Ai glanced over at Wang with a confused expression. "What?" He asked, his own mind still lingering in sleep. Wang swallowed before taking a short step forward. "D…Did that mean you forgive me? That…we can be together again?" He stated, his words slow at first, not wanting to rush this. It would only be that much worse if Ai realized what he did and tried to take it back. He wasn't sure how he could live with that.
Ai stared numbly at Wang for a moment, his brain shifting through everything he'd done since waking up. The small nuzzling against Wang's chest, the kiss. His brain processed it all before his face turned into a tomato. He crouched down while trying to hide his blushing expression. Ai's own heart starting to thunder in his chest as he slowly began to realize what he'd done. Not only had he agreed to Wang sleeping in the same bed, he'd slept hugging the larger male, and even kissed him! That would cause anyone to be confused! What more, not only had he done all of this, he hadn't even realized he was doing it! How much of a horrible person was he? He'd been the one to put for the break, yet he was already acting without thinking! "Um…I…" he began, his gaze moving to look back up at Wang, however the expression of some hope slowly faded to realizing that Ai hadn't realized what he was doing, the look of hurt on his expression caused Ai's chest to tighten. He realized that he really did care for Wang, even after remembering everything he did.
"I still…like you…" he then stated, his own body slowly straightening out as he awkwardly rubbed his arm. "I care for you a lot. Even despite remembering, I can't help but want to be around you. So I guess that means I'll forgive you." he said while still appearing to be unhappy about this idea, however his expression was rather happy at the idea of being with Wang again. The larger male clearly saw this, however hes own thoughts of teasing the youth came up. He moved closer, however still didn't take Ai into his arms as he gave a conflicted expression. "I'll be able to wait until you are for sure. So take your time okay? Just, its really hard if you snuggle against me, so I'll sleep outside alright? I don't want to hurt you again." he stated while waving to the bedding he'd set up the night before.
Ai blinked a few times before glancing at the bedding and then back to Wang. He frowned as he bit onto his lower lip, unsure of what to say. He had wanted to get back with Wang, to go back to how things were, however now Wang was saying he'd give Ai time? Did he say something wrong. Well of course he didn't realize that his words were both agreeing and disagreeing to being with Wang. Thus Wang was wanting to tease him about it. Making him actually say that he truly wanted to be with him, without having any leeway to break free later should he change his mind. No, if he was given a second chance, he would make sure that there would be reason for a third chance. Then again, that was just how Wang was.
Ai stared at Wang in confusion for a while before reaching to garb onto his robe, tugging him down so that his face was closer to his height level. "I forgive you, okay?" he said before pressing his lips to Wang's cheek. If this didn't work, Ai wasn't sure what else he'd do.. Tears were already starting to form in his eyes after all. Wang thankfully realized this and pulled back on the teasing. Instead he moved to holding Ai in a warm embrace before leaning down to kiss the youths lips again. It was a slow and pure kiss that lingered only for a moment before pulling and moving to his cheeks, eyes and forehead. "I really do care for you Ai. I hope you realize that." He said in a week voice. "I don't want to lose you again, for whatever reason." The words caused Ai's face to darken in embarrassment while hide his face against Wang's chest.
When enough time had passed, the to finally pulled apart, however the day was spent with Ai closely hanging around Wang as they went to explore the forest. He even went so far as to lightly holding onto Wang's sleeve for a bit of the travels. Only letting go when he needed to go look at some herbs to see if the would be useful. Any vegetation that had spiritual Energy was moved into the Cultivation Space he'd gained after becoming a Pill maker. The space itself organized the plants into types. Those who healed, those who promoted cultivation and those that were toxic. All each in their own area as to not affect one another. Each time Ai promoted his Spiritual Mind, the larger the space seemed to grow. It was very useful, cuz only himself and Wang knew of it. He hadn't used this space while at the sect, so not even Elder Fei and Mo Chou had been informed of it.
With Ai searching the current area for Spiritual Herbs. Wang kept his attention on the surroundings as to make sure nothing would come out to harm the youth. Even though they'd be safe from Spiritual Animals, that didn't mean normal Animals wouldn't be smart to stay away, or other cultivators. Thankfully he did pay attention, because just after Ai had began to finish his 'farming' of herbs. A group of youths broke through the vegetation, each grumbling to one another before spotting both Ai and Wang.
"Well, looks like we can enjoy something after all!" One of the youths stated, his gaze on Ai while the others glanced from the smaller male tot he larger male. "How did such a beauty go unnoticed until now? Wang narrowed his eyes, swiftly moving to stand before the group, with Ai behind him. The youth wordlessly keeping himself safely behind the larger male without complaint.
