92 Chapter 86
The next morning, when Ai woke, his head was resting on Wang's chest, the larger males arm wrapped around his waist. Blinking a few times, the youth lied there while slowly allowing his mind to wake from the fog. It took him a while, but he slowly sat up, his gaze lowering to look down at the fresh clothes that had at some point been placed on him. He turned his gaze to look at Wang, having fallen asleep without dressing the night before. It was not something he'd think to wake up to, so Wang should of dressed him while he slept.
His movements shifted the bed slightly, causing Wang to open his eyes, a weak smile on his lips as he looked up at Ai. "You are awake? How do you feel?" though his voice was a bit soft, deeper from the tiredness of just waking up. Ai couldn't help but melt a bit at the tone. His gaze lowering while looking away. "I'm fine. Thank you." he stated while shifting so he could get out of the bed. He moved to rubbing his arms, his arms rapped up so that he could do so. "We need to talk though." He stated, his mind still reeling from everything that had happened.
Despite everything, he couldn't forget the fact that this was all caused by Wang. His emotions were very conflicted at the moment. Two different lives rushing through his mind, one opposing the other. He really didn't know who he was anymore, was he the Ai in this world, or the other? How was he to know which was the real him? Both lives were very real to him. What was only a game now was greatly imprinted on him thanks to the rebirth. How was he to act? Did he react the way the original Ai did? Get angry and yell? Or was he to be understanding? If he hadn't been stuck here, then Ai he was now wouldn't be here.
Wang sat up, his hand moving to push his hair back, sighing. "What is it? Something wrong?" he then asked while getting up to walk over to Ai. He reached out to pat the others head, wanting to make sure he was okay. No one was sure what had happened in that room, and unless Ai wanted to talk about it, then he would most likely never know. The only hints they could get were from the many different wounds on the youths body. Clearly something akin to torture had happened. But to what extent? Not knowing was very frustrating. He wasn't sure how to comfort the youth.
Ai bit his lip as he shifted out of the way of Wang's hand. His heart hurting as he did so, but unable to stop his body from moving. "I…I need to talk to you first. Just stay there." he said stepping away. His actions only caused Wang to raise a brow at him, however the male didn't move forward again. His arms crossing over his chest while waiting for Ai to say what needed to be said. Maybe it was something to do with the torture? Anyone would be unable to process many things after something like that happened. However, as he watched Ai, Wang began to feel a slight rush of fear as the youth looked at him with a complicated expression of annoyance and frustration.
"That….HuaShe said things…about a different world." He began, his gaze left on Wang as he talked, watching as the larger males face change from worry to a deeper emotion he couldn't fathom. "I…I remembered things, things that don't make sense but do. Who am I? Am I Ai from this world? Or the Ai from that one." he youth finally stated. He really needed answers. It was driving him crazy, trying to figure out who he was, which world he truly belonged to. You'd think it would be obvious after getting the memories back. However, rebirths were different from just forgetting who you are. It completely recreates you. Ai in a sense really was 'born' in this world. Even if in a strange way. His mental age never changed, and his body grew much faster than normal. But still.. It was really confusing to figure out what self was the real one.
After he finished speaking, Wang stood there unable to speak. His expression shifted from one emotion to another, his hands clenching into fist while struggling to keep himself from pulling the youth into his arms again. What could he say? He was the one who had forced Ai into this world after all. He didn't understand the rebirth, so he really didn't have a problem knowing which Ai was the real him. "You are from my world. Regardless of what has happened here, you are still you." He stated slowly. He still had to keep himself from trying to reach out and pull the smaller youth into his arms.
"Then…why did you do it?" Ai then asked, his body tensing up while he glared at the larger male. He could be enjoying a normal life, he wouldn't have to worry about any of these issues if he'd remained at him. Despite this, his mind still whispered about all the things he'd lose. The people he'd met, the feelings he began to have for Wang. They wouldn't be there either. It was very complicated to wish for something not to happen, however you'd lose more than just the bad parts. Anything that was 'good' that happened would be lost as well. That wasn't really any better, was it?
"I can't explain it properly." Wang stated, his body twitching slightly while keeping himself way. His emotions starting to stir again as the fear of losing Ai once more began to creep in. Ai began to realize this state, his eyebrows pulling in worry while he shifted slightly. "I wont leave…so stop. However I need some time to think. I'm so confused right now. I need to organize my thoughts. Can you do that?" he asked, though he was still unable to move closer to Wang, his expression wasn't really one of hate. This in itself allowed Wang to feel a sense of relief while he slowly nodded. His own thoughts struggling to regain control.
"Okay. I'll…Go see Mo Chou then." he stated slowly, hoping it was okay. He wouldn't be able to hold back if he stayed in the room. Ai nodded while turning his gaze away, his hand gripping one of his arms while he let out a sigh. It was hard to have to 'self's' wanting completely different things. One side wanted to run as far away from Wang as possible, while the other wanted to get closer. The conflicting feelings made Ai's head hurt, and his heart struggled on which it wanted to do. The answer to these issues was no where to be seen. How was he to react? What to do? These questions kept rushing in his thoughts as Wang left. Making it hard for him to focus on anything else.
Wang's movements were rather stiff as he made his way down the halls of the palace. He really didn't know what to do. He said he'd find Mo Chou for training, but his mind was filled with dark thoughts. What should he do if Ai decided to leave him? The thoughts of capturing the youth back, and locking him away kept propping up. But wasn't that what had caused all of this? His greed to keep the youth near him. He knew that it wouldn't work the way he wanted.
Ai had finally started to accept him properly, and he didn't want to go back to being hated. Once you tasted the sweet side of love, the dark side was harder to accept. The fact that Ai could accept him was something he'd already tasted. In a daze, Wang finally made his way to Mo Chou, who was busy handling the after math of the disappearance of the sect leader. Elder Fei was currently taking over until the next one could be put into place. Looking up at Wang, Mo Chou narrowed his eyes as he noticed the dark snake like shadows looming over the other.
"It seems the dark seed is trying to take control?" he said, shifting to fight if needed. However Wang just gave a low hm in response before looking up at the other. "Can we get rid of it?" He finally asked. The fact that Wang was willing to kill the dark seed within his heart, made Mo Chou relax as he nodded. "Yes, but it will take some time. And will more then likely cause you a lot of grief. Are you ready?" he stated, crossing his arms.
"Wang closed his eyes as he let out a struggled breath of air. "Yes. I'm ready." he finally said after pushing the annoying thoughts down. "Okay, then follow me." Mo Chou said turning to head into the back of the Peak's Palace.
