89 Chapter 83

Several days had passed since Ai had disappeared. Wang had spent most of his time searching every inch he could think of, his panic starting to show while he rushed about. Elder Fei and Mo Chou had also been busy looking, yet no evidence had made itself known. What more, Ai's spiritual self wasn't able to be sensed by Wang. No matter how he tried to connect to his pact with the youth, all he got back was a weird emptiness. Fear began to spread from the dark seeds in his heart. The thoughts of the youth being gone washed over him.

What was he to do if Ai was gone? His mind thought up all kinds of horrible things, the darkness slowly seeping further into his mind. Taking over everything, it grew until Wang was about to snap. His own cultivation deviating slightly while he struggle to keep control. IT was as if he was going insane. Unable to properly think while snapping at anything that happened. When someone couldn't answer a question, he'd flip and threaten them. Mo Chou had to step in several times to stop Wang from killing other disciples.

During this period, Hua had also started to show up around him, often trying to 'help' sooth him. Saying that she'd help, however it always ended with Elder Fei tossing her out before Wang killed the damn girl. Her words causing Wang's mind to further sink into the darkness as she hinted to the possibilities that Ai wasn't of this world anymore. Each time she failed, she would always return to her room, breaking and smashing anything within reach while cursing Ai. Despite finally getting him out of the way, Wang still refused to look at her! What else did she need to do?

Gritting her teeth, Hua made her way back to the hidden prison, making sure that none were around when she slipped inside. The dark halls light up with dim torch light while making her way to the back room. Pushing the door open, Hua stepped in to glare at the youth who was still chained to the iron bed. Her eyes narrowing while crossing her arms over her chest. The youth before her looked horrible, however this only caused her to feel some what pleased.

Ai had been tormented an many different ways. Given different poisons, while also being cut or whipped. The markings ranged all over his arms, chest and thighs. The pain of whip marks on his back caused him to stiffen awkwardly while unable to move. With clouded eyes, he blinked while slightly dazed, not reacting to Hua who had entered the room. These days, other than dulled pain from whatever drugs the damn shadow man had given him, Ai only felt numbness. He couldn't sense anything of the world around him, and it as as time was stopped.

He'd spent one day throwing up everything the damn bastard had fed him, while the following day he'd been able to even get a sip of water. He had no idea what to expect anymore. What more, Every night the damn man would put some weird stone inside his body, only to remove it in the morning. The stone would change from a white to eerie blackish red. Like it was soaking up his blood while inside of him.

However, he couldn't figure out why the damn person was doing this. Nor would the guy answer anything he asked, only commenting to himself while torturing him. His mind wanted nothing more than to just black out during the moments the shadow man was around. He feared the next thing with each passing second.

Licking his lips, Ai let out a small breath of air while closing his eyes, if Hua was here, then that meant he wouldn't be bothered for a while. It was only after she would leave that nightmare would continue. If he could, Ai would of shifted into his fox form already and fled, however the chains around his wrists and ankles seemed to force him to remain in his human form. Preventing him from even using his spiritual energy to break free. His body felt completely drained of strength.

"Wang's forgotten all about you, You know. He told me that we could get married soon." Hua began to say, a slight smirk on her face while taunting the youth. She'd started lying about how Wang was reacting, telling him all the things she wished happened. It was the only joy she could get, letting the youth believe she'd gotten what she had wanted, when reality was different. "He'd even promised to help me find a way back to the real world. We'll be getting married once we can return." she then stated.

It was this comment that caused Ai to open his eyes again, turning to look at her with a blank expression. Though he had to listen to her taunting words, he never believed her. It wasn't because of his bond to Wang, but actually due to some what understanding the damn man. Despite everything he'd done, Wang hadn't really harmed him. Sure he trapped him in this damn world, but even with their sexual actions. Wang had waited until Ai agreed to it! When he didn't want to do anything, the other would just hold him.

It was the only thing that was good about Wang, he never forced himself onto the youth. So he really couldn't see the man leaving him just because Ai disappeared. Each time he'd left the mans side, he'd searched for him after all. It was the same the first two times, it would be the same this time. He just had to wait for Wang to find him. The issue was that he didn't know how long that would be. How many more days would he be stuck in this damn place?

"You are really….pathetic." he finally stated, his eyes closing again. The voice that left his lips, though still pleasant to hear was a bit broken. With a slight harshness to it that made one wish to comfort him. Hua however only felt her annoyance flair up while she slammed a hand on the wall. "What do you mean?!" she stated out through gritted teeth, making her way over to glare down at him. "You can't accept that he likes me now? Is that it?! Clearly he only liked you because of some weird magic! Now that he's not around you, its gone!"

As she spoke, Ai just started to laugh, his body shaking slightly while the broken laughter filled the dark room. "You really believe that?" he stated, once more looking at her with a look of pity. "He'd never be that way. If anything, you'd be the last person he'd fall for." he stated while trying to adjust himself, rattling the chains on the table. "He never seemed to care for females. Even if I wasn't here, the only other option for him would be male. Thus you clearly never had a cha-."

Before Ai could finish, a hand came down against his cheek harshly, causing his head to snap to the side while some blood pooled at the corner of his mouth. The pale cheek became red with a nice handprint left behind. Laughing again, Ai turned to look at her again, seeing the tears filling her eyes as she huffed. "You don't know anything!" Hua said again, her state of mind breaking further. She then moved to grab something from the darkness at the side, moving to stab Ai with whatever the object was.

However, before she could, a force blasted out, causing Hua to fly back and knock against the wall, the metal object she'd grabbed clattering to the ground. Some blood sprayed from her mouth as she leaned limply against the wall. From the darkness, the shadowed man once more appeared, his aura rather cold as he moved over to the crumpled up Hua. "I told you to stay away! Why are you here again?!"

His voice called out, causing both Ai and Hua to shudder. Though for once Ai wasn't the one getting his attention, the youth still feared what would await him after Hua was gone. It was most likely going to be another bad night. Hua however was still trembling as she struggled to push herself up. "B-but..we had a deal!" she stated while trying to face the shadowed figure without fear. Though it was clear it wouldn't work.

The figure laughed while shifting closer, a ghostly white hand moving to clutch at her neck, causing Hua to gasp while struggling sightly. "Yeah, we did. And you keep interfering! He's even found this place!" He stated before swiftly flinging her out of the room, shutting the door. Hua's body thudded against the ground as she gasped, choking. Fear filled her before she hurried up and began to rush back down the tunnel, however before she could make it to the exit, Wang appeared

His expression was completely black while he stared down at her, his eyes glowing a deep red as he reached out, stabbing his hand through her chest. "I knew you were hiding something." his words echoed out, moving his gaze back down the hall to where she'd come from.

"I'm here…" his tone stated, "Just wait, I'll get you out."
