83 Chapter 77

-- Wang's View Point --

Boredom, that was all Wang could feel as he idly made his way with the group of other disciples. Not only was he very vexed at the moment, he didn't see the point in these damned missions. Sure they were designed to give those in training some experience. However, why did he need to leave his lovely Ai ah? Surely he could of just waited until the youth needed to go out to do something, and followed along no? Wouldn't it make more sense for them to stay together? So hateful! Clearly this was all that damn Lion's fault. He had to of messed with his assignments as to get rid of him.

Wang was sure that that his master had only sent him way, because he was starting to lose the fighting spars they had. It was obvious each time he'd land an attack, how much the Lion suffered! That cold face would crack and the glare only made Wang want to attack again! Hmph, Its what he earned. How often had the stupid thing tormented him at the start? Knocking him down over and over again, taunting him with useless name calling? The different moments the Lion would also go to his lovely wife and get some free tofu? Really hateful.

His expression remained blank while his gaze moved from the members of the party, turning to look at the 'senior' Disciple that was currently leading the party. If he was a proper disciple, then maybe he'd be in charge. However because his master was a spiritual beast, they had complained about him not really being part of the sect. Thus he was left to be only an extra hand. How was he suppose to get any experience with these fools? Not only did they take forever to just walk down the damn pathway, they always wanted to talk and chat! What more, the few female members were often trying to flatter him, or just out right flirt.

Each time one of the tried to talk to him, Wang would only have to send a glare their way before he'd be left alone again. His mood growing worse with each attempt. It wasn't until the party finally decided to make their first camping site that he finally couldn't hold it in anymore. "I'm going for a look." he finally stated after remaining quiet the whole time. Ignoring the other members that tried to talk to him, he swiftly headed into the dense forest. Though he only had the basics of the mission at hand, he refused to believe that it held any importance.

What, going to the neighboring village to help with minor beast attacks? Surely it wasn't something that needed a hand full of disciples to handle! If anything, he could of just gone on his own, and easily rid the damn beasts before quickly returning home. However he was informed that it was group task, and he had to complete it together with the rest. Mo Chou had even threatened that if he should return without the group, then he'd be punished by running laps! Sure it didn't seem so bad, but had you been ordered to run laps by that sadistic beast?! No, he would need to run 500 laps around the peaks base! That would take days! Days!!

Forcing himself to calm down, Wang found a nice clearing within the forest. Clearing his mind he began to go through the motions of his cultivation manual. His mind cleared and the ill feeling of annoyance gradually passed while he focused completely on the movements of his limbs and the flow of his spiritual energy. It wasn't the best cultivation of this world, but it was one of the higher grades. The Spiritual Energy that moved would help clear any blockades within his spiritual veins, helping the motion pass by smother each time. Though he wasn't sure what caused those blocked passages, Wang still figured it was best to keep up with his cultivation to prevent them from doing any damage.

When he'd finally finished his stances, Wang then found a place near the group where he could then focus on his meditation. Letting the new and clear spiritual energy enter into his core, swirling around until it would be absorbed as the rest had been. The feeling would always give him a pleasant wash of freshness. Making it feel as if he'd just woken up from a very good rest. His actions some what matched a few of the other disciples that would rather remain quiet then talk, however the majority were still gossiping with one another. A few even laughing while playing games.

It was clear that these disciples were not taking the task seriously. What Wang didn't realize, was that it was very rare to be allowed out of the sect until you reached the higher levels. Thus these newer disciples had decided to use this as a chance to get some fresh air and avoid their normal tasks of chores and daily tasks. It would be a while before they would be allowed out again. Thus they had no wish to rush this quest. Instead, the longer it took, the better! Then again, other than training, Wang was pretty lucky. He didn't need to do any cleaning, garden caring or other mindless tasks like caring water from the springs to the wells.

--- Ai's View point --

With Wang out handing a mission, Ai's time seemed a bit empty. After spending his morning sending the male off, he had to go back only to begin his studies again. Because his cultivation would be based around Pill Making, his first task of the day would to be reading Pill scrolls. Needing to memories not only how to make the pills, but also the many different herbs required for those Pills. The benefits as well as where they lacked. Each time he'd learn about a new herb, Elder Fei would also start testing him on it.

He'd only be allowed to move to the next herb once he passed all the questions that Elder Fei would give him. Though it seemed rather daunting, Ai rather enjoyed it. Learning about the herbs, as well as getting to test out his own ideas caused him a sense of pride. He wasn't sure why, but it felt completely right. What more, when he completed a task, he'd be praised very well. Thus his own expectation also increased. He'd work on a single issue until it was solved with relish.

Needless to say, with everything that happened thus far. Ai had completely forgotten that he was a spy for himself! His own goal changing from finding out information on how to destroy sects, to completely focusing on how to properly be a pill Master. Any time he couldn't figure something out, he would go ask Elder Fei, who would gladly teach the youth with just as much relish. The two got along rather well. IT was as if they were meant to be Teacher and Disciple. The other members who would come to ask questions, often found themselves lost at the conversations between Ai and the Elder. Unable to keep up with the two.

That evening, Ai found himself sitting in the garden feeling a bit lost. He hadn't realized how much of his free time had been spent with Wang. Now that the male wasn't there, he wasn't really sure what to do. He had thought about studying more, but his thoughts often drifted to wondering how Wang was doing. Did he eat yet? Was he sleeping in an inn, or maybe had to stay out and sleep within the woods? He couldn't really help but worry. Though he didn't know why this was so, clearly he hadn't cared much for the clingy man ah! So why was it that he couldn't stop thinking of him now that he was gone?

Ai was bound to spend a restless night with many different worries. He himself wouldn't be able to understand his own oddities as he couldn't understand the notion he was feeling. Maybe there was something wrong with him? Unable to figure it out, the youth just chose to ignore the ill feelings. Instead he headed back to his room, forcing himself to get some sleep. Maybe after he rested, the weird feeling would pass? It wasn't like that idiot had been gone for very long! It hadn't even been a day, so why was he always thinking about him? There truly was something wrong with him!

It was all Wang's fault. Clearly, the damn man had spent to much time pestering Ai that now he didn't feel right unless he was being bothered. He'd have to beat him up later. Hmph, yes. He just wanted to slap the larger male for causing his weird mood!

Alas, one who hadn't understood the feelings of caring for another, would always assume the wrong things in the end.
