81 Chapter 75
The next morning was rather land for Ai. Not only was he able to sleep in, there was even a delicious breakfast waiting! Ai glanced about the different dishes as he sat there wait. Though Elder Fei had stated he could begin to eat. For some reason, Ai wanted to wait for Wang. He figured it would just be okay to wait for the larger male. They had eaten all meals together after getting together after all. It felt odd not having Wang there to tease him. He was still wondering why the other hadn't come to visit him the night before.
It wasn't until Ai saw the white lion making its way over without Wang. Frowning Ai glanced from the Lion to the entry way behind him. He didn't think that the silly man would be away from him for this long. Sure they didn't spend all the time together, but still. Not seeing that clinging man was a bit odd. He didn't really know how to feel about this new turn of things. It was really against Wang's usual self after all. He began to wonder if something had happen to the idiot.
As if noticing the youths worry, Mo Chou had shifted to his human shape to sit at the table, eating next to Elder Fei. "Your friend wont be joining us." he finally stated. Ai blinked a few times as he turned to look at the Lion, clearly confused as to why the other wouldn't be joining. Did something happen? Did he need to go make sure that Wang was okay? Maybe this had been too good to be true?! Should he hurry and flee? Maybe he could still find Wang….
The many different thoughts flashed as Ai gave an expression of mild panic. Elder Fei frowned as he swatted at Mo Chou's head. The action caused the lion to realize what had happened as he seemed a bit regretful. "He's fine.." he finally stated while peaking at Ai who had stopped eating. His tone was rather soft, not as harsh as it had been when speaking with Wang. "I just had him start his training. He's running laps right now." he stated while offering an explanation. He normally didn't explain things so well.
Ai frowned as he glanced at the food on the table before looking to the window. "But shouldn't he eat before starting his training?" He asked a bit confused. Though this was a sect, so far nothing was as horrible as he'd first thought. Not only was he given a good sleeping area, the food he currently was eating was rather good. It was clear that not everything about sects were horrible. So, why was it that he could eat a good breakfast while Wang was left to run laps? Was there something he had missed?
Mo Chou was a bit taken back as he glanced at the smaller male for a while before laughing a bit. His normal temperamental expression breaking for a bit. "You could say that he is missing it yes. Though that's his own fault." He stated while leaning slightly, giving a half smile to the boy. "If it wasn't for him trying to sneak out the whole night, he would have been able to enjoy breakfast just as the rest of us get to." He stated while grabbing a few things on the table to eat. "It's also why I'm late. I was unable to sleep until rather late due to having to keep him from running off."
The statement caused Ai to sigh as he shook his head. He figured the other had tried to sneak off to see him. Though he didn't really think that Wang would have been found. It was rather silly if you thought about it. Also, it wasn't like Wang was being mistreated. Clearly it was caused by his own doings. Who told him to constantly try to oppose his teacher? Despite some what understanding, Ai wasn't sure why Wang hadn't been allowed to visit him. Nor why they were roomed so far apart. It wasn't really like it would be that wasteful for them to room together. However his thoughts seemed to have been read by his new teacher. The Elder patting his hand while potting some more food into his bowl.
"Don't worry ah? Just eat up. The reason that the rooms are separate is because of the different statuses. Though I took in your friend, he's Mo Chou's Disciple. Thus he's not really part of my sect completely. Kind of like how the Outer area is still part of the sect, but doesn't get any real guidance? Think of it like that. So in order to keep order and to keep others from wagging their tongues he must stay within Mo Chou's section of the peak. Sure he's my spirit beast, but I gave him is own area." the elder explained slowly.
Ai nodded as he began to understand. His mood relaxing a bit as he began to eat some more. "That's fine. But…Don't make him miss to many meals." he finally stated softly. He wouldn't admit that he missed the big idiot. After spending so many times together, they had clearly gotten used to one another. Ai just felt it was odd to be eating without the other to sit at his side, given him some yummy things to eat while making sure he was full before they would clear the table. It was always the simple actions that would bother those who finally realized they were missing.
Mo Chou wanted to argue with the youth, stating that the boy was useless and unworthy for him. However he stopped himself from doing so while frowning at his food for a while. "So long as he starts to listen and stops being so stubborn." Mo Chou finally stated while starting to eat. Sure he disliked that blasted male, but it didn't matter. Clearly Ai had his own reasons for allowing some useless bug to be around, it wasn't his place to question nor stop it from happening. He only needed to make sure that the stupid bug had enough strength to protect Ai, while also knowing its place!
After breakfast, Ai was led off to Elder Fei's personal Study. The two then began to go over many different books. First Elder Fei had Ai explain what all he had learned on his own, while also using the pill making Cauldron left in the study to even make a few pills so that the Elder could test them out. The whole time was spent with Elder Fei nodding in approval while giving his own comments. The two swiftly spent their day lost in the world of pill making. What more, Ai had completely tossed Wang to the back of his mind once more as he enjoyed his own lessons. Clearly he'd gotten the better master of the two!
Wang however had not only been forced to run many laps around the peak's Palace. He also had to do many different work out sets. Running up and down the stone path stairway leading up a few miles? Ran it 15 times! Doing a set of cultivation stances? Had to repeat them until he made no mistakes! It wasn't til way passed lunch time that Wang finally finished all the things that Mo Chou had ordered him to do. He didn't even get a single break other than some sips of water here or there! Truly horrible! Thankfully he finally finished everything he had been told to do! Thus Wang swiftly made his way to the dining hall in order to not only enjoy a good meal, but finally see his baby!
Sadly, Wang was left to be highly depressed. Not only had Ai not joined them for lunch. But Mo Chou had only given him a short break to eat just enough. Regardless of how Wang tried to drag the time to wait for his little wife, the damn Lion would begin to rush him again. Finally Wang had to give up as he followed Mo Chou back to the training grounds were yet again he spent the remaining time of the day being kicked about by the stupid thing. How humiliating was it to always fall flat on his face or backside after only taking one hit from the stupid lion?! Clearly unfair!
By the time Wang finally finished with his day's training. He once more looked like a wreck. Limping his way to the dining hall, Wang held out for the last home that his baby would finally appear before him. At least Mo Chou had given in some and allowed them to return to eat dinner with the other two. Other wise he wasn't sure what the stupid brat would do. Clearly he was at the tipping edge!
Thus Wang finally enjoyed a meal with his families wife before being lead away once more. Time passed in this manor until both Wang and Ai were well used to the workings of the sect. Not only that, but Wang managed to sneak off a bit more from Mo Chou to spend some time with Ai, however he still couldn't do so at night! It was only during the evening break when he'd have a chance. Despite his own complaints, it was also during this time that Ai focused on his own cultivation practice. Thus would only allow Wang to sit to the side as he practiced.
They had no chance to be truly lovely dovey as before! Wang was going crazy ah?! Where was his lovely night activities?! He wanted to enjoy his wife ah! No fair.
