Despite the awkward glances that both Wang and Elder Fei sent, Ai didn't bother explaining. Obviously it was rather simple. He, the Spiritual Beast that most Spiritual beasts wanted to protect, would of course be very appealing for other beasts to be around. Mo Chou had realized what he was the moment he set his gaze on him. Thus it was only natural for him to want to get closer!
The only reason he'd listened to Ai, and gone to stand next to Wang, was because Ai had promised to pet him later ah! The idea of getting pets from the heavily spiritual beast was the best! Thus Mo Chou gladly agreed, wanting to quickly finish the tasks at hand so that he could get his pets. Not wanting to waste time, the Lion swiftly shifted into his Human state and began to drag Wang away, not caring how the male struggled.
You had to admit, that Ai found it rather funny to watch as the very stubborn Wang was forced off with the Lion. This left only Elder Fei and Ai to stand at the entrance, neither sure what to really say. "Sorry, My families Mo Chou normally isn't so…" he began, waving his hand as if indicating what he meant. Ai just gave a light smile as nodded. Of course, Ai's existence was the only thing that could cause a spiritual beast to go against reason.
With nothing left to say about the mater, Elder Fei just brushed it off as he lead the small male about the Peak's Palace, showing him where the sects open library and Pill making room was. This was were normal disciples could learn pill making, without having a direct Master to teach them. What more, if one showed some skill, they could get some help from Elder Fei without having to directly take them in as his own disciples.
Ai would nod to the many different 'sisters' and 'brothers' he saw. Some being introduced should they have a good impression from Elder Fei. Mostly though, they would just nod to his direction before hurrying off to gossip most likely. What Ai hadn't known, was that Elder Fei had refused to accept any disciple before! Thus, he was the only one directly under the Grand-Master who'd swore that he'd always remain disciple-less!
As the tour began to progress further into the palace, Ai was shown the private study as well as Pill making room, which is where he'd be spending most of his time. Elder Fei even gave him his own pass, so that he'd be able to enter whenever he felt like it! His mood growing better as the time passed. Who would of thought that a Sect could be so…welcoming? It was much better than he'd thought before! Thus he wasn't really sure how to feel at the moment.
Elder Fei not only showed Ai around, he made sure the youth was comfy with everything, even making sure to point out the bathing, eating and sleeping areas. By the time the tour had finished, Ai would know how to get anywhere within Elder Fei's Resident Palace. Not only that, the elder had even told him about the sects history, as well as other important information he should need to know if he ever had to go out to do tasks.
The best thing, was most likely the token that the Elder had given him. Not only was he able to go get any herbs he wished without spending a single dime. Ai also had the ability to access other libraries in order to get scrolls for skills or other cultivation manuals. He had the highest access from what the Elder had said. Though this was a bit odd to give someone on their first day, Ai wasn't really sure how things worked. Thus he thought this was normal. If only he knew that Elder Fei had only given this because he found Ai really appealing to the eyes as well as soul!
It wasn't until they had seated to eat that Wang finally returned. His body seemed stiff and sore as he shuffled to sit at the table, frowning while struggling to eat. Clearly his time with Mo Chou hadn't gone as well? Though, he wasn't really sure how to ask. Being as the lion had returned while in animal form, moving to rest its large head on Ai's lap, asking for the promised pets.
Unable to push it off, Ai had to give in, lightly petting the huge fluffy head. His action caused not only Wang to be a bit taken back, but Elder Fei seemed a bit shocked. Though this surprise quickly replaced with pride as he puffed his chest. "I knew that little Ai would be the best one! See?! Even My families Mo Chou agrees!" he stated as if greatly impressed.
Both Wang and Ai weren't really sure how to respond, Wang mostly due to the beating he'd gotten from the damn Lion. Not only had he been unable to get back at the tofu stealing Lion, he'd lost all his face as he'd been swatted down several times! It wasn't over until the damn thing finally sat on him, as if proving that their differences were much to great. However, Wang did have to admit, after the spar, not only was he feeling a bit stronger. He also had this strange notion that his body had some how improved as well? The hits he'd taken towards the end didn't seem to hurt as much.
After the meal was mostly finished, the door way to the dining area pushed open. The soft taps of footsteps brought the groups gaze up to see an elder making his way over. He didn't seem as old as Elder Fei, but the air around him was similar. Both Ai and Wang were lost as to who this person was, until Elder Fei kindly gave a small greet.
"Sect Leader, surprised you were able to break away from all those tasks left ah?" he stated with a teasing grin. The Elder froze as he seemed to shiver slightly, trying to remain composed as he glared at the Elder before turning his attention to Ai and Wang. "I heard that you took in too disciples?" he stated, his tone rather bland as if he were just casually asking. However his gaze held an odd light that made Wang feel a bit off.
"Yes…Wait, no. I took in one and got another for free!" Elder Fei stated with a wave of his hand. He didn't really want to explain, however the Sect Leaders gaze caused him to sigh. "This little one is Ai, I took him in. However, that one wanted to remain with him, thus I had Mo Chou take him in." He explained as if it were common sense.
However, the Sect Leader just frowned as he looked from one to the other, as if unable to tell why the Grand-Master had been so happy taking in a weak looking child. His gaze went back to Ai for a moment, as if wanting to find the reason. However, Elder Fei's abilities were better, thus causing any secret probing to be halted.
What more, Mo Chou also had moved, standing between Ai and the Sect leader, as if protecting the little one. Wang's own mood became a bit confused as he looked at the three, trying to figure out what was going on, as Ai silently ate without a care. Regardless of what they were doing, he didn't see why it had anything to do with him!
This went on for a few minutes before the Sect Leader let out strained sound before he stopped. His attention finally leaving the male before looking at Elder Fei with a rather dark glance. "It seems that you are really…" he began before pausing, letting out a sigh while shaking his head. Thus stuck at a brick wall, he decided to just give a false reason for his appearance before returning. The silence in the room was finally broken when Wang cleared his throat, glancing at the Elder as if hinting for him to explain. It took a while before the elder finally gave in. "I had always stated that I wouldn't take in a disciple. Because I finally broke that promise, Sect Leader was just trying to figure out why. But I don't trust him. How he got his title. Its well known, killing his old master. Despite being the Grand Master, I was unable to save my friend. Yet I can't leave either, or else who knows how this sect will fall ah?"
The old mans gaze was rather complicated. "I can't let the sect My dear friend built be destroyed by that little bastard, yet unable to do anything about him. He brainwashed so many other Elders.."
Both Ai and Wang were silent, not sure what to really say. However, the mood seemed to have left, thus they were asked to return to their rooms. Of course Elder Fei had made sure they were separate. Secretly Enjoying as he watched Wang's mood drop low while he was placed in the side hall while Ai's room was close his own.
Hmph, can't torment my lovely disciple with me watching! Ai just laughed as he quickly went to his room, also enjoying the depressed Wang's expression while he was being lead away by the large Lion.
